"there's even a cyborg named Franky, who can shoot intense beams of light from his nipples." +1 for getting 'FRANKY NIPPLE LIGHT!' in the review ;D
There's a few pop-in issues, but that's to be expected with so many enemies on-screen at one time. And you're bang-on about the messy camera, kept getting stuck in the corner. But regardless, there's nothing quite like the satisfaction of taking down hordes of pirate enemies is there?
You're right about the smoke effects Sammy, really does look rather odd without it. I'm really looking forward to Knack, hope it proves all the naysayers wrong.
I genuinely enjoyed Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, despite the criticisms mentioned in the review - it was so loveable in an utterly bizarre kind of way!
@Cloud7794 Not gonna lie, the combat was soul-destroying after playing Tales, but the art-style was quirky in its own right.
@belmont @Cirno I'm sure plenty of gamers will, and already do, enjoy this game. It all comes down to whether or not the plus sides are enough for you to overlook the negatives. I'm lucky enough to have played plenty of great J-RPGs in my time, so am inclined to recommend other J-RPGs over this, but really only you - the readers - can decide whether this appeals to you or not - I'm only here to advise
>Feel free to shoot me over any questions have you about it if you are seriously considering buying it, I'd be happy to help out.
@rastamadeus Yep you're right, arcade only demos touring at the moment, no announcement on platforms but heck - it's gonna happen on PS3, I just know it.
@MadchesterManc No news yet, however the demo featuring the new characters is currently touring Tokyo, so I presume more information will slowly be leaked once that's over. At the moment they're focusing on revealing the technical information about the combat rather than story details etc.
@AceSpadeS Some of the mods look fantastic for Morrowind, but playing it without makes me jump in terror at the horrendous character faces! They sadly haven't aged too well..
It does seem like the kind of game which would suit the VITA very well, but I think we're lucky that we're getting an import at all! Maybe if this does well and they hear enough enthusiasm for the VITA port they may consider it
@3Above @get2sammyb Right you are, although for many obvious reasons I hope the Ripper doesn't crop up! Hearing about those murders terrifies me to no end.

Re: Review: Lost Planet 3 (PlayStation 3)
@get2sammyb Some of the best games out there are 'technically bad' but interesting.. You know which certain 'bad' game I'm on about ;D

Great review, Robert
Re: Level 5 Pings Wonder Flick onto PS4 and Vita Next Year
@Lelouch I agree it's much more suited to the Vita, but if it's on the PS4 that can only be an added bonus. If it's Level5 I'll take it ;D

Re: Review: Tales of Xillia (PlayStation 3)
@Cloud7794 Haha Teepo is a serious complaint
Re: Review: Tales of Xillia (PlayStation 3)
@Snorky I checked during the review and could only find English dub I'm afraid, but the voice acting is pretty good so I wouldn't worry too much

@rjejr Don't skip Ni No Kuni - that and Fire Emblem are my games of the year!!

Re: First Impressions: Dancing with Cat Ears in Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F
@rastamadeus Very true, but I think it's highly unlikely that a 3DS version would happen sadly.
Re: Justin Bieber Lands the Role of Nathan Drake in the Uncharted Movie
You scared me for a moment there Sammy-boy.
Re: First Impressions: Dancing with Cat Ears in Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F
It does seem like the kind of game which would suit the VITA very well, but I think we're lucky that we're getting an import at all! Maybe if this does well and they hear enough enthusiasm for the VITA port they may consider it
Re: Feature: Push Square's E3 2013 PlayStation Game of the Show - Final Fantasy XV
Woop woop! I thought Square's segment of the conference was great, although I did like the look of The Order: 1886 too.
@ShogunRok I had a long fringe once. It was hell.
