I may be in the minority, but the Mafia series from the start should've never had an open world. They're so nothing burger, especially when they spend the majority of missions funnelling you into linear segments, with the Mafia remake being the biggest offender

Now that I think about it, Blackbird would be really cool if they really leaned into making it an immersive sim, given Far Cry as a series has been ImSim adjacent, especially 2. That would make replayability so much fun.

The most promising prospect of this Complete Edition would be Suda including the 2/3 of story that was cut from the original due to production issues, like Coyote being fully voiced. I'd love to see the full vision someday

For anyone wondering the framerate cap does get removed to go up to 120fps (if you have a VRR display go to the menus, use your TV/Monitor frame counter and it'll hover aroud 80fps), it just won't happen in-game because the game is taxing on current platforms. For that we have to wait till PS6

I honestly can't blame them. As beloved as PlatinumGames games are, they have a history of not selling well. Nier Automata pretty much saved the company, and there was that weird phase where they were making licensed games for Activision

A co-op mode for Spider-Man 2 would be interesting to see, I have to admit. If that isn't the case, then it might be a standalone multiplayer thing they could be working

This game isn't gonna blow minds away, but it's a solid game for Bloober team. I had fun with it
