I just finished the PS4 version last night. Excellent game and I can see why they released the remastered version but this is just overkill imo. I guess it's a good way for people to experience the DLC at a reasonable price though.
@Bad-MuthaAdebis that's exactly the word I was looking for to describe Dust! I enjoy the combat though.
As for this game I'll probably pick it up eventually. I'm a sucker for old school Jrpgs. Breath of Fire II is on my list of favorite games of all time and this looks better than that to me.
Will this game have any music? Seems like all the trailers and gameplay I've watched have just been pure sounds of racing with no background music whatsoever. I know this is supposed to be more realistic than something like NFS but I'd appreciate if there were an option to have music playing while racing. Better yet allow us to make our own playlist using our own music! That'd be sweet! On topic, the DLC is fine with me because it actually adds to the experience and there seems to be a lot of content included in the game even without the DLC.
Well this officially puts the nail in the coffin for many PS3s. I know quite a few people who were only still holding onto their PS3s because they knew this game was coming.
@Storytime7 well I'm a huge fan of zelda so I'm really enjoying it. The battle system is so much better than Twilight Princesses was (that's the game I keep comparing it to). Overall the game really feels like a game that Nintendo would make themselves.
Planning on getting a Vita in the near future and these two games are at the top of my must play list. P4G comes first though, its the whole reason I'm buying a Vita to begin with.
Been playing Okami HD. Lent a friend my copy of TLOUR because he wouldn't buy it himself (said it wasn't the type of game for him) and he's been hooked on it for about a month now. That's what I would be playing otherwise. Oh, and maybe some First Light. I was a big fan of Second Son and I preordered First Light but still haven't gotten around to downloading it yet.
@teknium_ so I wasn't the only one who noticed that! Co-op would be sweet!
This game looks better to me every time I see it in action. Never played a souls game but I think I'll make this one the first.
@sinalefa yup that's the one! I have a 500gb hooked to my wii u with one of those and it works perfectly. Plus it looks nice sitting on top of it and doesn't require an extra outlet or take up too much space either. You do lose a USB port tho so there's that.
Back on topic: I did get kingdom hearts remix today so I'll be playing that every chance I get.
@sinalefa I recommend a Western Digital passport hard drive with a dual usb cable (not sure what it's actually called it has two usb and one that goes to the hdd). It takes up very little space and doesn't put out any heat. Also works like a charm.
I'm keeping the dust off my ps3 with a little Okami HD and hopefully some Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix if it arrives in the mail today. I remember playing the GBA game but never played any other KH game so I figured I'd catch up on the series before 3 releases (if it ever releases).
I'm really interested in this one but I still need to finish Strider and download Guacamelee so it will have to wait. Maybe it will come to plus in the future.
@FullbringIchigo changing the hard drive in the ps4 is really simple and pretty safe but I can see ur point. It would be easier to have something you could just plug n play and not have to worry about transferring anything to a new hard drive.
@FullbringIchigo changing the hard drive in the ps4 is really simple and pretty safe but I can see ur point. It would be easier to have something you could just plug n play and not have to worry about transferring anything to a new hard drive.
I played uncharted drakes fortune for the first time just the other day and have started uncharted 2 but if a collection for the ps4 is announced I won't be buying 3. The games are gorgeous and good fun but the shooting and platforming mechanics are starting to feel aged a bit (especially in the first game) and if those things are fixed in a rerelease then I would certainly double dip. Idk maybe I'm just used to how much more accurate the sticks are on the ds4. The games are great nonetheless and I'm certain we will see them on ps4 at some point.
@Carl-G something I haven't tried yet...switch off the internet in ur system settings on ur ps4 an then restart it. Should be able to play your games then. Otherwise we r all screwed when this console gen ends and the services are shut down.
@Carl-G yeah most of ur downloaded games will connect and verify your licenses every time u turn ur system on but most people wont notice it because it happens so fast on a good connection. I have terrible internet so I see it a lot.
I can't really tell that much of a difference but the ps3 version looked amazing as it was. It'll be hard to improve on. I'm looking forward to the 60 fps though, it'll probably make aiming and panning the camera a lot smoother.
@ShogunRok awesome! This game has definitely made it onto my wish list then! I may pick up Dynasty Warriors 8 first though to make sure I like this type of game.
I've actually never played a warriors game. Heard a lot of people say they are repetitive but that's kinda what a hack n slash is supposed to be. Might try this one out. Is there a storyline from the first 3 games that I will be missing out on or do they stand on their own like Killzone SF and Infamous SS (same world different story thing)?
I've always been a Nintendo guy but got caught up in the hype and bought a ps4. It was my first Sony system and I've since bought a ps3 to catch up on all the franchises I missed by only owning Nintendo systems.
I preordered from Amazon and I don't think they charge until the order is shipped so I think I'm good. I'm really excited to see how they make this game look any better than it already did on the ps3. I only got to play a little of it before the disc drive took out on my ps3 so I'm stoked to see it come to the ps4. I'm hoping after Uncharted 4 is released and if it really is the last of Nathan's adventures that ND will make an Uncharted Collection (I never got to play the series) alongside making a new game, releasing the collection within the gap between Uncharted 4 and a new game. Seeing Xbox get the Master Chief Halo Collection makes me think that an Uncharted Collection would be a perfect counter to that by Sony even though the games are completely different genres they both represent their respective brands in the same manner.
@uchinakagema the problem is there are so few people in my area that any company spending the money to set up any kind of network in the area would have to be doing it purely out of good will because they wouldn't be making much of a profit.
@LDXD netflix is completely out of the question lol. It would eat up 10 gigs in less than a day. I've never played much online though so I was just wondering if anyone had the slightest idea about what kind of data usage I'd be looking at. Maybe I'll just google it and see what pops up. I love living out in the country, but jeez it can be a real pain in the neck sometimes lol.
@LDXD it's called Excede and I checked recently and they seem they seem to have lowered their prices. I have the bare minimum 10gb at the moment. Microsoft would have been the end of gaming for me but luckily Sony was smart enough not to go down that road with the always online.
EDIT: just checked and a 25gb plan with Excede in my area is actually $130 a month. It's ridiculous but the only competition they have is dial-up lol.
@JaxonH I live in the US but way out in the middle of nowhere. There are no fiber optic cables for miles and I don't even get cell service at my house most of the time. The only options for internet are Excede (satellite internet) or dial-up.
@NicolaHayden @JaxonH I was betting on a price similar to the FFX/X2 remaster but maybe they think it'll sell at that price since it's never been released over here.
Already have Strider and as soon as the Resogun update hits I'll have my local multiplayer game so nothing for me.
Also buy all my AAA titles on disc so not really worried about those either.
Did anyone with the alpha happen to check how much data they used? I don't have the greatest internet and would hate to get this game an not be able to play it due to too much data usage or my internet being too slow. I live in the middle of nowhere and we only have 1 internet provider so the prices are jacked up. The best package is $120 a month for 25gb of data and 1 or 2mb/s connection. It really sucks.
Just started playing this game again yesterday to practice up for the new DLC. Truly awesome game and by far one of the most addicting games I've ever played.
It'd be awesome if it were released near Christmas this year but like some others already stated it'll probably be early next year. I never even knew this game existed so I'll be all over it when it releases though.
Was this a Vita game or PSP? I'm wondering just how much work was put into it...seems like it should only cost $40 at most if it's a handheld port especially a PSP one.
Pre-recorded is the way to go in my opinion. Everything can be polished to perfection that way. And those Robot Chicken-esque sequences were hilarious and only possible through a pre-recorded event.
I'd also like to see something in line with the Treehouse event from Sony next year. I feel like it spread the news out over multiple days and kept the E3 hype going.
Strider is a really fun game once you get used to how it controls. Never played TowerFall but I might try it since it's free. I don't really see much sense in complaining about what games we got with ps+, I mean they're free games and "beggars can't be choosers" and all. I'm pretty new to playstation but so far I've been more than happy with the games and services. Sad I didn't take the plunge sooner really.
Eh...who cares what clothes they are wearing as long as the gameplay is solid I sure don't. And so far I'm not convinced on the actual gameplay from what we've been shown so far. Gameplay and story come first, then worry about making it look fancy.
Organizing the home screen, custom themes, being able to set the time when the system checks for downloads while in standby, being able to pause downloads, and being able to hide the default apps I don't use.
@SimonAdebisi or wait for E3 for some more exclusives to be announced and make your decision based on that. That is, if you can wait that long and only plan on getting one system.
Part of the reason I bought a PS4. Played Tales of Symphonia on GameCube and the 2nd one on Wii and absolutely loved them (well the first one the second was good but not as good).Sounds like I should've gotten a PS3 though as it'll probably be awhile before Tales games start hitting the PS4.
I've already preordered it...I never got to finish it since the ps3 I had fried and I decided on getting a ps4 instead of another ps3. So pumped for this! I can see how some people are upset about ports but that's just what u get with a new console...ports are an easy way for developers to test the waters and get familiar with the new consoles architecture.
