@themcnoisy That sure as heck better not happen. If Sony used one of the two PS4 freebie slots as a PSVR game there'll be riots and rightfully so. If they add it as a bonus game that's fine.

They need to make sure to have at least one T rated or lower game since there are plenty of young folks who subscribe to PS+. Also some of us OG's like less mature games as well, and given the political turmoil, more lighthearted games would be a nice distraction.

I'll be getting KH3 tomorrow! So there's +1 sale for the month!

@Jenny_Jones It needs to be stressed that this is definitely a very mature game and some of the themes skirt the boundaries of AO territory.

There's a difference between sending a tiny number of people in space and making sure 90% of 7+ billion people have access to high-speed internet. It's ludicrous unless you'd like every country in the world to go bankrupt and revert all the way back to living in caves.

I live in the 6th largest city in the US and even we don't have the capability to do so, so what? 3-4% of the population do? I highly doubt it'll happen in our lifetimes given how the coverage of sufficient speeds are almost non-existent...

@kyleforrester87 You do realize that's under the assumption they won't gain any more users. The lion's share of new gamers are from third world countries as are the lion's share of people in the world. By the time the number reaches 90% we'll likely be LONG dead and gone.

@Claude @Mince Not even many metropolitan or suburban areas have sufficient speed, at least in the US. I live in the suburbs of the 6th largest city in the country and even downtown doesn't have reliable enough speeds to stream games from the cloud. The best the internet in our city can muster is remote playing PS4 games on Vita and even that is sketchy at best.

There are some games where button swapping will come in handy! @FullbringIchigo OMG YES!!! That is one of the games that will benefit most from the button-swapping feature!

@ShogunRok your header is incorrect as there are four Trails of Cold Steel games so it isn't exactly complete with the release of the third game. Games I & II were a complete story arc as are games III & IV and if IV isn't localized we'll be left on a cliff-hanger with an incomplete story lol.

@kyleforrester87 Except CD's work as long as you have the hardware and electricity. You seem to not comprehend that the infrastructure just isn't there and won't be for many decades. Most of us will not be able to utilize streaming games unless we move to a select few metropolis's which most of us can't realistically do for a multitude of reasons...

It's down for me right now in the US...

It's a numbers game for them and unfortunately for us they could afford to make their product inaccessible to 75% of the population at some point in the future if this new business model saves them in excess of 75% in overhead costs. What then? You're looking at things two dimensionally, they are in it for the money and don't necessarily care if their product can be accessed by a large number of their fanbase...

Do you honestly think internet service providers can magically twitch their noses and make the infrastructure available to all in 5-10 years?! They'll have to lay tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of miles worth of fibre optics, replace millions of junction boxes as well as making fibre optic leader lines from the junction boxes to every home "they currently use copper lines", this would cost trillions and likely take decades to perhaps an entire century to accomplish, and that's just here in the US...

@kyleforrester87 What planet are you living on? Almost nobody can stream modern games yet and they are already talking about it. I can't even see 25% of the population having sufficient speeds in 20 years, this would weed out the vast majority of gamers who would play, except they won't be able to because of location. Also you apparently must be a millionaire if you think people complaining about having to pay subscriptions out of the wazzoo is "moaning"...

Plus even in first world countries like the US even most major cities don't have access to sufficient internet let alone rural areas. You'd be lucky if even 5% of any given country's population has access to internet speeds that are sufficient for streaming games...

Yet Netflix and Hulu have been in the red every fiscal quarter since their inception. Sounds more like a good way to commit corporate suicide...

@Spectra LMAO. You obviously have never played a Gameboy Advance if you think DQ XI's music could be handled on that handheld. PS2 possibly could, but GBA's audio chip wasn't even as advanced as the one used in the SNES...

Also I'm guessing that it'll still release on the first Tuesday in the month, holidays have never stopped the routine pattern before.
