Surprised by the lack of comments regarding Stein's Gate. It's an absolutely incredible visual novel and I highly recommend giving it a shot if you don't already have the game!

I am looking forward to Iconoclasts, Sterdenn, Paper's Please, and Onrush which I don't have! Soma looks meh, but overall December's plus lineup is amazing!

@Jaz007 And if you don't make a stand until it begins to affect mainstream games, it'll be too late. That said still support the developers of censored games as it is not their fault, but be vocal and speak out against Sony. If enough people do they might panic and stop out of fear of losing a large percentage of their customers in the long-term.

@get2sammyb People in China and Russia thought the same thing once upon a time and look at them now...nothing gets released without government approval. Look at history of communist nations, at first it was just "self imposed censorship" or companies forcing their ideals down their partners throats, and eventually governments started to get in on the action...

@Badboyfx86 Except there's alot more than a "Last Batch" of corfirmed first party PS4 titles left, more like two or three batches...seriously there's what? More than a dozen upcoming high profile first party titles "More if you include budget titles" many of which are likely to release in 2020.

Now mind you, Sony doesn't typically release first party stuff long after the start of the new generation, third party yes, but are you really telling me that they'll be baiting and switching a good half a dozen or so AAA first party PS4 games and moving them to PS5? That seems like a good way to lose a massive portion of your late adopters of the PS4 if they bought their PS4 specifically for those games, the chances they'll upgrade will drop to near nil if Sony did this...

@AFCC Hardly, there are other genres far worse off like 3-D Platformers, those have almost completely disappeared outside of a few rather impressive indies such as Yooka Laylee, A Hat In Time, and Poi. Turn-based JRPG's are super rare now too. Man I miss the hordes of turn-based games we used to get. Action RPG's when done right are better than turn-based, but most seem to be nothing more than mindless hack and slashers anymore.

@NintendoFan4Lyf That would blow furry chunks all over since usually legacy support for the last gen systems provides us with the best experiences of the entire previous generation during the first year or two of the new generation while usually the next gen system gets pretty lousy games during the same time-frame after the usually excellent launch lineup.

Edit: Except Nintendo which treats its previous generation like yesterday's garbage and tosses it aside at the very start of the new generation.

It's been down for upwards of 8 hours straight here, the only thing that hasn't gone down is the messaging feature...

Will sending things like smileys that aren't available on PS4 through your PS3 also brick people's PS4's?

@Neolit We'll also likely get some beautiful JRPG's at the tail-end of PS4's life-cycle such as The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III & IV just as I & II did in 2015 and 2016 on PS3. Sure they won't win any awards for realistic visuals, but the art-style of the series is quite gorgeous and the story is well thought out.

@Neolit I was going to say that as well lol. CoD 2019 is an announced title even if we don't know its subtitle yet.

@YousefFromKuwait The story is crazy good with some of the best storytelling and character development I've ever seen in a game. The music is Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii) good if not better with not only a wide variety of tracks, but it's hard to find fault with any of them. The voice acting is also crazy good by JRPG standards. The visual style certainly won't blow you away, but it's still a very pretty looking game. Lastly the battles while turn-based have quite a few tactical elements such as movement, certain bonuses "good and bad" randomly occur in the turn order which changes depending on your actions in battle.

That said I might double dip because I hear the games will use the Steam versions voice acting patch which pretty much adds voice acting to all dialog in the game, plus the visuals are supposedly quite a bit better too.

@Quintumply No offense, but the visuals are awful. It looks like some flash game, the gameplay is pretty good, but as others have mentioned Megaman's movement feels a little stiff compared to previous games in the series. As a whole though I would also give this a 7/10. Great review dude!

Why is Football "Soccer" so popular in the UK? Yearly sports games almost never wind up in first here, sadly FPS's do. Someone needs to burn all copies of Call of Duty with fire. >_<

@RogerRoger Uh...you can play your PS+ games without internet being active, but you'll be locked out on the date your subscription expires. I know this because I could still play the games when my internet was down for several days last year.

Here's a thought, how about every once in a while giving out a T rated or lower AAA game for those poor teenagers who are paying allowance money towards PS+ who're getting nothing but online in their game for $60 a year. It might not effect me as much as a teenager, but I prefer less mature themes so all of these gorefests are a little much...

@rjejr About half of those are full real-time dude. Dark Cloud 1 & 2, Rogue Galaxy, Xenoblade Chronicles, and Star Ocean are all real-time JRPG's.

WOW! The lag in the system menu and store is gone and I've yet to get an error code today which is a first since I got my PS4 about 4 months ago!

Could today be the day this goes live? PSN is undergoing maintenance right now.
