@gollumb82 yes in a couple of hours a day you can advance in main or secondary quests. Both games are massive and very enjoyable. Since odissey is longer and more rpg than Origin, I would suggest starting with the latter. I fyou like it you can delve in Odissey later on.
@ShogunRok I will be very happy if the AC brand will become a series of massive action RPG set at different historical periods.... Vikings, the 100 years war, ancient Rome, feudal Japan, Italy during the city states time etc etc...
I am an history sucker and I really liked AC 4, Origins and Odissey for their settings
@sanderson72 it is definitely an RPG, one of the biggest. If you enjoy loot drops and customization it is fun. Combat is not telegraphed like old AC (I really hated that combat style) and is very action, think about Souls stile but easier. Story I enjoy the main one and some of the side quests are interesting, some are just fetch. Not as deep as one in the Witcher 3 but still good as a standard western rpg. Value for money is incredible, you can play for hundreds of hours and the world is a blast to cross and discover.
I got tired of the whole Destiny grind.... I have lost completely all interest in the franchise after the Forsaken dlc. Maybe is me not having anymore time to sink into the grind, maybe after a sequel that was a bad copy and paste version of the original the novelty wore out....
The gunplay is not enough anymore to keep me interested, the grind is too tedious and the loot is not really get me enthusiastic...
Awesome experience for me, I loved it from beginning to the end and I recently bought the season pass on discount so I am ready to dive back into the Ancient Greece!
Lot of great game came out recently. I will play coop Borderlands 3 with GF, pes 2020 (amazing game this year), wreck fest and Code vein, with the Surge 2 in the waiting list
@kyleforrester87 my first pc came with 16 MB or Ram, 1.2 GB of hdd and Pentium I 133 MHz.... It looked so good at the time... I even double jump out of happyness when at Xmas my dad bought me a 3dfx cardπ
@playstation1995 gun variety in Borderlands 2 is one of the strongest point, I agree, as well as comedy moment and generally I love the post apocalyptic universe that Gearbox made.
But I agree with the others that the gunplay in itself and the weight of the guns have a big room for improvement
In my opinion gunplay is not terrible, not amazing by today standard. Still serviceable though. Compared to Destiny, it is undeniable that the guns in Borderlands 2 have more a toy feeling... I am replaying it a bit in preparation to the 3 and it is still a very entertaining package
Slow year so far for me, I could finally bite my backlog. Of this list I played only Ace Combat and The Division 2 and I had a blast with both. The only other one that interest me is Devil May Cry 5. I can't care less of the rest.
Generally speaking would be great if they do it. A cross Gen where all initial games will be released under "PS" label and get a graphic overhaul once you play on ps5
After all this time (and God only knows hours of playtime) I have finally close the family quest... Still need to behead the cult of Keos plus some other quests.
I cannot really stop to play it. This game keeps giving and it is potentially infinite...

Re: Borderlands 3's Bloody Harvest Event Tricks and Treats its Way Onto PS4 Later This Week
@thebakerswife on a general level I agree with you.
On a specific level I can't disagree more, since BL3 is microtranstaction free and this is a free DLC.
The game is full of content

Both have AC lore at minimum, fortunately
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 294
Borderlands 3 and Planetfall: Age of wonders (fantastic 4x game with xcom tactical combat). Me very happy!
Re: Poll: Call of Duty, MediEvil, and The Outer Worlds All Launch Next Week on PS4, But Which One Are You Buying?
Only interested in Outer Worlds, but I have a huge backlog now so I will wait for it
Re: Soapbox: Assassin's Creed Is Fuelling My Excitement for PS5
@JoeBlogs I guess there will be a lot of English monasteries to climb and pillage and lot of friars to send back to God

Re: Assassin's Creed Odyssey PS4 Patch 1.51 Focuses on Bug Fixes
@H4ilHydra I believe Cassandra stands even above Ezio for the charm.
She is funny, smart and sarcastic.
Can t say anything about Alexis since I did not play with him
Re: Assassin's Creed Odyssey PS4 Patch 1.51 Focuses on Bug Fixes
@H4ilHydra wow I am impressed that you were able to complete twice a 80hrs copy and paste soulness game...!

And all of its content without a single microtransaction

The game that keeps giving.

Re: Guide: New PS4 Games Releasing in October 2019
Children of Morta, Outer Worlds and Grid are very tempting, but I ll wait since September was full of great games (BL3, Code Vein, The Surge 2)
Re: Guide: What's Included in Destiny 2: New Light?
I tried recently to jump back into D2 but after a couple of hours it ran off of steam.
Too much grinding and repetitive tasks for a little reward.
I prefer dedicate my little time to single player games or the more rewarding (and entertaining) borderlands 3

Re: FIFA 20 - Seriously Shoddy Career Mode Almost Results in an Own Goal
Pes is great this year... And in 10 minutes and an option file later you have all the main rosters and teams updated.
Re: Surprises in PS4's All-Time Best Selling Exclusives List
God of War 3, Bloodborne and Horizon zero dawn are all you need to justify a ps4 in your living room...
Re: Reaction: Unrealistic Expectations Mar Sony's Best State of Play So Far
I am so happy Civ 6 is coming to ps4.... Here it goes again me play for 6 hrs straight forward. Goodbye night sleeps
Re: Guide: Most Addictive PS4 Loot and Grind Games
Diablo 3, Borderlands (all of them) and The Division 2 are my time sinkers...
Got bored of Destiny 2 pretty soon, the amount of grind simply does not justify the loot for me.
Re: Borderlands 3 Moves More than 5 Million Copies in 5 Days
Well deserved. This game is a blast.
An improvement on BL2 on every aspect, except Handsome Jack substitutes...
Re: Random: Borderlands 3 Is Scamming Players Out of Extra Shotgun Shells
Love this game
Re: eFootball PES 2020 - Same Shirt, Different Name
@Mergatro1d kudos! Ahahhaha
Re: eFootball PES 2020 - Same Shirt, Different Name
Game play on PES this year is well superior of past version and Fifa 2019 and is the biggest improvement this year.
You can score in hundreds of different way and the match is much more tactical than any Fifa can give you....
I found this review very lacking IMHO...
Re: Borderlands 3 Causes Uproar Amongst Longtime Fans with the Lack of Vertical Split-Screen Co-Op
I prefer having a wide sight so no problem for me.
Too much whiners in this world
Re: Guide: Best PS4 Sports Games
Where is the review of PES 2020?
Re: Poll: Borderlands 3 Is Out Now, But Which Will Be Your Starter Class?
For my single player play through I choose Fl4k, looks very cool(Destiny's Warlock vibe). I just started, so let's see if I will stick with him.
For the coop run with my GF it will depend by who she choose first, but I would like to try Moze
Re: Deal: Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Season Pass Is Half Price Until September
Also in Switzerland is still full price. You can download episode 1 of fate of Atlantis for free though

Re: Rumour: Word That PS5 Is More Powerful Than Project Scarlett Corroborated by Colin Moriarty
For me, quality of first party games will matter in the end, and in current Gen there was no competition at all

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date Rumours for 2019 Seemingly Shot Down
@JesWood13 I hardly believe they will skip the current Gen if released in 2020.
They won't say no to a potential customer base of dozen of millions users
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date Rumours for 2019 Seemingly Shot Down
@Neolit would it get a ps5 patch then?
Generally speaking would be great if they do it. A cross Gen where all initial games will be released under "PS" label and get a graphic overhaul once you play on ps5
Re: PS Plus June 2019 PS4 Games Announced
One of the best lineup ever for ps4
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date Rumours for 2019 Seemingly Shot Down
It looks like a crossgen title then.
In my dreams you can purchase it for ps4 and then get a free update for ps5 version...
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 273
Continuing my journey against the heads of the Cult of Kosmos in AC... What a journey so far!
Apart of that.... Naaah, only that!
Re: Assassin's Creed Odyssey Patch 1.30 Out Now on PS4, Adds New DLC Support and Balances a Few Things

I cannot really stop to play it. This game keeps giving and it is potentially infinite...
One of the best open world RPG I have ever played
Re: 'Some' PS4 Users Are Being Invited to Alpha Test Nioh 2 as Gameplay Footage Finally Appears
Had a blast with Nioh and still play it now and then.
Combat systems soulslike (between DS and Bloodborne) + Diablo Lootfest got me in and never really stopped giving...
