@OneWingedAngel I have Plus until Feb 23 and Now until Aug 22. I got PSN £100 credit off of allthekeys for £87 and renewed Now for 2 years. I also expect PlayStation to give me credit for my remaining Plus as you do not need two separate tiers. Now gives me Tier 3 which is the top and would no longer need the Plus Sub.

This is the information I want what happened to people that have Plus and Now

@Boucho11 Really! The same was said about the original PS VR but it was instantly sold out in most countries, I had to order mine from Spain through Amazon. I loved the VR as did everyone that used mine the only thing I hated was the travel sickness and limited movement which I believe most of that sorted *though being fully wireless would have been much better

I love how people claim the base tier of PS Plus never had any real value.. Seriously I have paid a max of £45 for PS Plus 'once' the cheapest £30 and mostly £33. I have had it since day one so 12 years so lets say £405. Thats just under £34 per month. I have 281 because of plus no including the PS3 games I got. (Plus the odd game I missed or forgot to download) that works out to be 12p per game if that is not value then I am lost for words

Nope only the silly ones as everything was explained in the tweet. People keep begging for backwards compatibility but in truth hardly anyone would use it.

Sony should just keep doing what they are doing. They have been coy and mostly have made the correct decisions with the Studio acquisitions. The VR2 is coming out this year and so will a new tier to the current subscriptions, my take on it it will be a sort of merged Plus and Now with lots of VR content. Personally Im not fussed much about COD really hate the game especially online modes. Im more for sing player games. Bethesda I was more fussed about though Im over it and never ever going to sign up with Microsoft just to play a game or two. I have nothing against XBox but Microsoft just like Facebook they have only 2 desires knowing everything about you and money.

Metaverse will not be completed or won by any single company. Sony have been designing tech for Meta and its currently being used to build meta by studios. They are building one of the richest Football Clubs in Manchester Cities Metaworld. They have patents on tech and process's which will be used in a meta world. Regardless of what happens in Metaverse Sony will win out of it.

Sony have been investing in Meta since the original VR, they have been investing into studios who are developing meta foundations and games. They are building tech that is developing and building meta. Unlike what Facebook(Meta) think this will not be in control or so called won by a solitary company but will be a shared response. Meta are worried because of all this. Regarding Sony they are in a win win situation and will be good regardless of the final outcome regarding meta.

@knowles2 Enter? Sony entered into it before Microsoft. Sony have been tipped alongside Apple to maybe finish it before Meta. Sony have been working on it well before the PS5 launch and as mentioned its new tech revolved around the metaverse. They have invested massively into the meta one investment being Epic Games into which $200M was invested and they are working on meta for Sony. Microsoft by the looks of it late to the table so spent $70B to catch up with the rest

@mucc Sony do not need to react though they are still number 1 even with this Microsoft deal but its not about who's number 1 its about profit margins.

Activision Blizzard currently make around $2B net profit and bought for $70B, now if COD mostly on Xbox Gamepass are they going to make the same profits there ?? who knows. now if they cut off PS then they lose 30% of that market. If profits from AB stay the same it would take over 30 years to break even.

The point of this deal is for the metaverse which believe it or not Sony secretly working on and which I believe their new sub service will enhance. Sony have their own VR which also evolves around the metaverse. They are already well ahead in the gaming world of profits and pretty sure when the new tech come out Sony will elaborate more on the metaverse.

Microsoft needed to act before this and shown their card pretty sure they are more concerned and know more about Sony's plans than we know.

Finally Sony are brining out a new sub which will have 3 tiers so basically what we have just now and a new one. Finally subs will never be the only way as people want to own items. I no longer purchase digital media and games as I will never ever own them and just have a lease of them whilst I have an active account. Hence more people buying Disc PS5s than Digital ones. This is the same reason as to why LPs made a revival as people want to have physical items they can keep, share, swap or sell.

@Art_Vandelay Dude Sony are the biggest gaming company in the planet grossing more than double Microsoft. This $70B deal puts Microsoft 3rd. Really unsure as to why anyone thinks Sony is just going to disappear from the market hahaha that is just crazy talk. As I have mentioned previously there are thousands of studios and new ones appearing all the time. There are constantly new games and ideas developed. Now lets get down to the nitty gritty Sony bringing out the PS5 VR soon which looks to be an awesome piece of kit, Sony working on their own version of GamePass. Neither Xbox X or PS5 have an abundance of new games. Most games will always be available on multiple platforms.

Finally Microsoft making a massive gamble here on the metaverse and trying to shorten the gap with no idea of what the future will bring.

Lets not get lost in Western PR and Propaganda. Lets lay it bare, through gaming Sony rake in £25B and have around 120M active PS users, Microsoft $11B and also over 100M gaming users. Extremely unlikely these games will not be accessed on PS as its will be at least 30% of market. This is about the metaverse which is a gamble that US Companies are attempting to get sheep to flock into (yes you all are the sheep), it will become the biggest Spyware known to man. Now I have 445 games on my PS Account why on earth would I leave PlayStation because of this acquisition? To be honest I actually detest COD.
