Re: We Don't Know if PS5 Will Be Our Last Console, Admits PlayStation Boss

It's time to move with the times; time to rid ourselves of hardware and move to a world where Smart Wallpaper replace TVs, games will be controlled with simple flicks of our eyebrows, Half Life 3 will be fully holographic compatible in our Tesla cars and we can stream the 26TB required for the new FF7 chapter 26 instantly to our Ray-Bans... actually no, that can all wait, I'm still on a 4mbps connection and I want my physical stuff please!

@JLPick The Switch has only just passed it's 2 year life cycle on March 3rd - it's debateable whether or not they'll offer some sort of upgrade in the near future like the Pro or XB1 X; it's likely too early to tell. It's usually only Nintendo consoles I pick up on Day one and then I tend to wait a year or so after launch for the next Xbox or Playstation.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of RAGE 2?

Given the fact that it's a broken mess and that it's taken me 3 hours to get through 30-45 minutes of the game, I'm going to give it a miss until it has been patched properly. The audio bugs were just the start when huge chunks of dialogue would be missed if you paused the game or brought up the home screen menu. Then came the HUD bug - everything including the waymarkers and subtitles would disappear making it difficult to navigate & know what the NPCs would say when the aforementioned audio bug kicked in. To top it all off, the blurry draw distance is so rubbish that you can be shot at but not be able to pin point exactly where it's coming from. Oh, and don't get me started on the outRAGEous controls for driving.

I think people are overreacting - if you look at what they give over a 12 month period, the subscription is still more than worth it. Granted, if you compare this month's PS Plus games to Xbox Live there's a very similar 'budget' feel and the choices may be underwhelming, but maybe it's pointing to a particular stronger offering throught the Summer. Hopefully you'll be thanking them again for keeping you out of the harmful UV rays =0)

I don't think it's fair to judge a game on price, especially how quickly they go on sale in some cases. If it's a 5/10 game that's swimming in the sea of mediocrity fine, but if the price (clearly only linked to one retailer in this case) influences the final score then a better analysis is required to justify, or maybe a simple line to say wait for sale. I'm not defending this game per se; I actually agree that the initial price tag is steep, but I think prices should only be factored in when considering hardware reviews & comparative products such as a standard edition vs a deluxe edition etc.

Re: Screencheat Sneaks onto PS4 on 1st March

It's an awesome game, I have it on Steam (PC), and one that should be welcomed to the console crowd. It reminds me of the days of Goldeneye, Timesplitters and the original Halo multiplayer sessions I used to engage in. There are tons of weapons and levels that keep it varied and interesting and USP of the invisibility / screen cheat mechanic makes it a laugh a second.
