Re: TopSpin 2K25 (PS5) - A Killer Serve 13 Years in the Making

Yey, a 2025 edition with two retired champions on the front cover! I guess they're not confident enough in the current generation of players, which is odd considering the awesome talent in the top ten ATP ranking for men & women. Will give this title a 'spin' at some point.

Re: Talking Point: As PS5 Turns 3, How Are You Feeling About It?

Astro's Playroom was a hell of an experience - one of, if not THE best experiences that you can have with a console out of the box. Sadly, there are a lot of factors why this generation is off to a bit of a slow start, so I guess we need to be a little more patient to see what magic Sony will cook up next. Don't get me wrong, there has been some stellar titles released already, but I feel like we're only just getting started. So far though, it's missing the excitement and variety that preceeded on Sony's past consoles.

Still a wait and see for me. The lack of backwards compatibility is still a sore point, but it's now a question of how good the VR games will be, especially seeing that we will have the Oculus Quest 3 around this time next year.

Re: Best PS4 Games

Not sure why you have two iterations of Persona 5 & Ghost of Tsushima in here; surely one of each and include the definitive versions (Royal & DC respectively) & leave it at that?

Re: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (PS5) - The Best LEGO Game in Years, This Is

sikthvash

@sanderson72 that is bizarre... maybe some kind of Pro related patch? I have had it happen to me on other games & on other systems too though.
I'm keeping my Luke mini figure wrapped up at the mo, that is until I get some future Star Wars Lego to build & put on the shelf ^_^
Hope you're enjoying! I'm finding it a little bit buggy with FPS drops at the mo. Hoping a few more patches will tidy things up.

Re: Gran Turismo 7 PS5, PS4 Offline and Unplayable for Over 24 Hours

Communication is vital in times like these; I understand the developers and server techs will be under pressure at the moment, but some reassurance would at least would be well received by the fans. I do think a lot of people are being impatient and insensitive asking for full refunds though - surely some ingame credit or some future DLC freebies would appease most. Yes, it's irritating, but the people working on this are going through the same hardships as the rest of us, so they should be given some slack.

Re: Elden Ring IP to Expand 'Beyond the Realm of Games'

I would imagine we will get board games, figures & alike, similar to what they did with Dark Souls. Given the success, I'm hoping we will see some DLC for the game, although I think I'll be pre-occupied with what's avaialbe for quite some time ^_^

Re: Tales of Arise Is the Fastest Selling Tales Game Ever, Hits 1 Million Copies in Less Than a Week

sikthvash

@rawzeku I probably worded that badly - basically, what I meant was I wonder how may keys they had to give away. I know it wouldn't of affected the sales figures, but I wondered what proportion of those figures relate to unfullfilled copies, resulting in keys being generated.
Glad you got yours ^_^ hopefully mine will arrive in the next week or two. thankfully, there's no rush.

Re: Tales of Arise Is the Fastest Selling Tales Game Ever, Hits 1 Million Copies in Less Than a Week

sikthvash

Wondering how many of these copies they've had to give away? I'm still waiting for my collectors edition to arrive, but to give them their credit, Bandai Namco provided me with a digitial key.
The game could do with some proof reading to correct the typos and a few QoL features added (would be nice to turn off your party members constant shouting during battles), but otherwise a solid entry in the series. Hope you're all having fun with it too ^_^

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.3 Details Leave a Lot to Be Desired

sikthvash

At this point, I don't really care anymore. I waited and waited after release & this ended up being a title that just sat on my shelf. I might check it out when they relase the next gen version on consoles, but otherwise, Ghost of Tsushima will be getting most of my attention.

Re: There's Not a Single PS5, PS4 Game in the Japanese Sales Charts

sikthvash

There isn't a huge amount of games out for PS5 at the moment, so it's not surprising that the Nintendo Switch, which has a larger install base, has taken those top 30 slots. With Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, Tales of Arise and others on the horizon, I'm sure Sony will steal back some of those top slots.

Re: Rust Console Edition (PS4) - Ugly Survival Game Has Special Moments

sikthvash

I have a love/hate relationship with this game. On one hand, it's a tense struggle for survival with moments of euphoria when everything goes your way... but this can be taken away in an instant if you make a mistake, or come up against a clan of powerful enemies that will make all your hard work crumble away (particularly overnight when you're asleep and you can do bugger all about it)
With that said, I urge people to try it, especially if you have few friends. It's very addictive though. I'm currently on a break. Will be interesting to see how quickly the updates will come for this one as the phone app which can be setup with notifications of in game raids on your base is very helpful. There's a lot of depth to base building & there's something really satisfying about defending your base and thwarting potential attackers to keep your loot safe.
