I've clocked 50 or so hours into it through Steam using a combination of Xbox 360 controller and Speedpad/Mouse. It is alot of fun for a F2P, and well worth dropping some cash into as well. There's not a huge amount of variety in the missions right now, but the shooting/slicing through them is alot of fun, and the weapons/upgrades make for alot of different playstyles.
For anyone who starts this game, don't pick the Unicorn like warframe (I forget its official name) as your starter, it's included as a bonus in a bunch of different fund pack options in a better looking form.
Also, having played both Dues Ex: HR and Saints Row 3 on PC (Especially SR3) those are two amazing games for anyone old enough to play them. SR3 in particular is mindblowing entertainment if you can enjoy some really oddball humor. Pity its not the complete package edition with the DLCs, but they aren't a huge addition.
Deus Ex though... That really needs The Missing Link now.
@RaymanFan2 Blame Activision, not Infinity Ward/Treyarch. They are being held to that release schedule by Activision, which makes creating a new engine virtually impossible.
Err... Soul Caliber on the PSP wasn't all that good, and we just got Tekken last month, so my fighting fix is completed for now. Zombie Tycoon doesn't really interest me much either.
I'd happily take Virtue's Last Reward on the NA PS+ though...
Because when he said this about the 3DS during it's slow period after launch he turned out to be oh so right. Nobody is making games for, or buying, that dead system.
@Squiggle55 Well to put it in perspective, Pokemon Black/White 2 were the highest selling games when they released. Which was about a year after the 3DS launched.
@Ginkgo That argument isn't as true now as it was before. If you have a competent PC by modern standards for gaming, you can safely assume that any game you buy and slap into it for the next 5 years or so will run, and run well, when adjusted to the specs of your computer. You don't need to upgrade constantly to enjoy the newest games.
Also, in terms of raw gaming power, most people with gaming PCs today will find that their PCs are still more powerful than the PS4 come release date. It's a powerful system to be sure, but it doesn't just go and kill the mid-high end PC gaming market.
I don't doubt that the PS4 will out power most PCs not intended for gaming for years to come, but any PC intended for medium to heavy gaming, even a prebuilt, will outdo the PS4 any day. (Posted from my 3.4ghz/quad, 12gig ram, and GTX 660 Ti PC)
Edit: Also, 8 gigs of RAM is pretty common even in the laptop space now.
That was a really, really, weird trailer, in my opinion. It told me next to nothing about the game, at least, not visually. But hey, maybe it has more meaning to people in Japan.
Hmm... We got Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus Ultimate Almost Black But More Grey Like Edition in NA, you got MGS:HD, I can't complain for once, both are solid games.
This is one game series that really belongs on the PC, as it just doesn't work as well on a console, but any news for BF4 is good news. Maybe it will convince me to move up from Bad Company 2.
@Splat If you play pure story/side missions, I'd say no more than 40 hours. Probably less though. I spent a lot of time just exploring the game world and having fun, so my playtime was closer to 60 or 70.
@Superconsole I dunno... If it's a gorgeous, hard bound, fancy pants strategy guide, I might "Need" it too. Just like I needed that amazing Skyward Sword guide...
Is it possible to activate the free Vita version of the game via crossbuy using only the Vita? I only own said Vita and am wondering if it would be possible to buy this game as a PS3 disc, download the Vita version to my PSN, and then promptly sell back the game or give it to a friend.

Re: New Killzone: Mercenary Screens Show What the Vita Can Do
I'm going to end up buying this regardless, but I wonder if I can ever play a FPS competitively on anything but the PC any more... Game looks amazing.

If the PS4 can do a CD Projekt Red game true justice... I'm not even sure what I will think. That would be amazing to see outside of the PC realm.

Dang. And I thought my playing a game over 600 hours online with one person was crazy...

Hot dang. That was an excellent bit of music. Reminds me of some of my favorite symphonic metal soundtracks out there.
