I think the likely translation is, "Everything not currently nearing the end of production." They didn't drop that cash just to see heavy hitters like Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Doom sell big on PS5. Unlike most, it seems, I really enjoyed Fallout 4, but I won't pick up an XB to play the next. Although Sony needs to start picking up some RPG devs before Microsoft snatches them all.
I'm about 8 hours in, and it truly is a fantastic game. I always liked Yakuza, but the formula was tired. This was a bold step in the right direction. It should be noted too that the English voice track is on point as well.
Anyone else unimpressed with the upgrade? The animation is jerky as hell, the resolution is a bit fuzzy. I had to double check that I was playing the correct version. It doesn't look like anything the PS4 couldn't do.
I have the standard disc version and upgraded just fine. Looking forward to starting it after work. Hopefully they can get this mess straightened out for every one else. The store is in dire need of an overhaul.
The combat was decent, but I couldn't take more than a few seconds of each cut scene, which the demo is BURSTING with, and kept skipping them. That caused my interest to drop pretty quickly.
@LordSteev You don't have to do anything. I've carried the same account over from 3 to 4 to 5. All you do is sign in on the new console and you're done.
@jcvandan Control scheme is tight. There is a curve to building custom coasters, but I was really pleasantly surprised by how it all handles. I have it on PS5 and love it.
I'm chomping at the bit honestly. I was only vaguely interested in FFVIIR and it ended up being game of the year for me. I can't wait to see where they take it.
I really loved this game until I got to the point where every dungeon I ran with a group was completely unenjoyable because a high level or two would just race through to the end. I didn't get to fight anything, pick up loot, or experience the environment or story. And if I asked them if we could slow down I got flamed. It totally killed it for me.
This game was such a major leap backward after Origins and Odyssey. It's ugly, boring and empty. Ubisoft needs to take a step back, take a few years off, and rethink the next entry.
@Tigerhoodman Yes! Absolutely one of the greatest game trilogies of all time. There's nothing else quite like the setting or story you build, and the characters are fantastic.
@fR_eeBritney LiS 2 is still very good, but it does spin it's wheels some in the middle. The central conflict is interesting, there are some very likeable characters, and some tough choices to make.
Since everyone's dropping opinions, I personally loved The Last Jedi and Rogue One, liked Force Awakens and Solo and hated Rise of Skywalker. I also love Mando and Rebels. Resistance sucked. The main problem with the sequel trilogy is that they didn't have a basic map in place. Everything was reactionary. VII was too derivative so VIII went in a lot of unexpected directions. Then there was backlash from some of the community, so IX erased a lot of what VIII had built. There wasn't a single satisfying character arc. I wish Filoni and Favreau had been in charge of the whole thing from the word go. As far as this game is concerned, I'm really looking forward to it and wish they'd throw out a release date.
This game came so close to being good for me, but overly long puzzle sequences and bad platforming in vaults killed it for me. Not bad if you can pick it up on the cheap though.
I completed a runthrough on PS5 with two crashes (one during the ending, annoying) and one bugged quest line that I couldn't finish. It was very good, nothing amazing. I may do another run once the native PS5 version launches.
This game! Not as good as Double Switch, on par with Sewer Shark, better than Night Trap. What a system the Sega CD was. Jurassic Park, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Dracula Unleashed, Mansion of Hidden Souls. What amazing, terrible games.
@Voltan It's not what I would call bad, but it is very boring. My kid was, I think, 8 or 9 when we saw it, and even he thought it was pretty slow and not very funny. The tie-in game was great though.
@Jimmer-jammer I've had one crash in 30 hours, while driving. I've also had a handful of graphics and audio glitches, but that's been the extent of it. (PS5 here.)
So as much as I'm enjoying the game on PS5, it really is mind boggling that the game was in development for so long. It's completely reminiscent of something like Fallout 4 or The Outer Worlds. It has some interesting questlines and a somewhat more complicated open world, but that's it. So why 8 years to bang it into its current shape? I'd be curious to know if there was a lot of cut content or features, or if it was drastically changed somehow during development.

Re: Outriders Demo Was a 'Rollercoaster of Emotions' for People Can Fly
@rumple1980 I could. Or the developers could make them more compelling so players don't want to.
Re: Outriders Demo Was a 'Rollercoaster of Emotions' for People Can Fly
Can they do something about the overlong, ugly cutscenes though?
Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Is a Brand New Side-Scrolling Beat-'Em-Up
I'm good for another shot at a TMNT game, but did it have to be in the 80's toon style? Why not base it on the modern comics?

Re: Marvel's Avengers Will Nerf Level Progression When PS5 Version Launches
That's nuts. It already felt like it took forever to level. I already wasn't coming back, guys, you don't have to keep giving me reasons.
Re: PS Store Essential Picks Sale Has a Long List of Cheap PS4 Games
@phil_j I'd say yes. It's jankier to be sure, but I enjoyed the setting and characters and the combat is decent.

@Orochilocka What? It totally is. Or better be, since I just bought the PS4 version on Amazon in anticipation of the upgrade.

Free demo! I'll try a demo of just about anything, and can't believe more aren't released. I'm actually curious about this one too.

The combat absolutely ruined this game for me. If that's not tweaked I'll have to take a pass.
Re: Marvel's Avengers PS5 Version Coming 18th March with Hawkeye Expansion
I won't pick it up again unless they do something to change the post-campaign gameplay loop. What an absolute drag. Not even Spidey will entice me.

@djlard Same exact game, just with Wallace and Knives automatically included. If you still have your PS3, no reason to repurchase.

You really do feel like a jerk getting walloped by basic dudes at first. Though I did take Matthew Patel ("Are you a pirate?") without taking a hit.
