Re: WWE 2K22 Stashes the Spandex and Steroids Until March 2022

Say what you want, but this is the right approach to take. If your annual sports title is stuck together with bubblegum and fails to provide significant improvements with every iteration, you should simply skip a year or delay matters further to get your product to the level of quality it needs to be at.

In other news, Madden NFL 22 just released, while its predecessor isn't even a year old.

Re: Talking Point: What September 2021 PS Plus Games Do You Want for PS5, PS4?

Golem25

@Iroha It's opposite for me, I will take Mahjong and other silly minigames over the Climax Battles any day of the week. Those can get rather ridiculous and cheap, whereas the minigames just tend to test the breadth rather than depth of your skills as a player.

I make an exception for the Disco in Yakuza 0, however - love the tunes but the actual minigame requirements are a kick in the 'nads.

Re: Sony Patent Points to Dynamic, Evolving PS Store Pages

Golem25

Mite b cool, but literally the only time I even open the PS Store is to buy a game I've already decided upon - which is not often because I'm so obsessed with physical purchases. A fancy-schmancy store might thus not really work on me, but I'm sure others will be drawn in.

Anything that's not garbage. Another Yakuza game would be nice considering we haven't had one since Kiwami. I own them all physically, but it'd be nice to get more people into the series (and to tank the completion percentage for the game, Trophy-wise).

But at this point I'll take anything that isn't, y'know, hot garbage. I've almost resigned myself to FIST being the PS+ game, which I'm really not fond of, but if the PS4 games are okay then maybe September will be worth the 50% off subscription.

Re: Soapbox: GTA: San Andreas Is Still an Open World Classic

Golem25

San Andreas Stories never happening for PSP/Vita is one of the greatest disappointments in modern gaming history. LCS and VCS improved on III and Vice City, one can only wonder how fantastic a second take on classic San Andreas would have been.

GTA IV and V are good games in their own right, but I don't think they ever recaptured that magic, that thing, that the 3D era titles had.

Re: Skull & Bones Has Passed Alpha Stage After Eight Years of Choppy Waters

As someone who lived in Singapore (but isn't Singaporean), everything about this story is disgusting. The country has an incredibly qualified workforce, some of the brightest minds in Asia, and this project has been mismanaged from start to still-distant-finish by the mostly Western leadership. Ubisoft are a laughing stock and I hope the members of the boardroom lie awake at night over the money they've burnt and the Singaporean employees they've made so miserable.

Re: Battlefield 2042 Online Gameplay Blows Our Minds

Golem25

These trailers always look good but come release it's the same old live service crock of **** served up by the same team that was responsible for V. I think we can all do better than continuing to go off of these highly polished teasers before the inevitable disappointment on day 1.

Re: Jurassic World Evolution 2 Roars to PS5, PS4 This Year

Golem25

Mite b cool, although I've always wondered about the feasibility of RTS games on Playstation. Next time Tropico 5 is on a deep sale I might give the genre a go.

Have to say that Jeff Goldblum and the nice lady from the modern movie don't do anything for me with their presence here. The budget is better spent on the actual game, so to speak.

Re: Lost Judgment Seems to Have a Season Pass and Story DLC

Golem25

I think the article needs a slight edit in that the Japanese version of Like A Dragon got the Final Millenium Tower dungeon as paid DLC, which to me represents a significant add-on. It was included in the base Western game but the precedent is there, and I can't help but wonder, in light of this news, whether that dungeon served as a test run for future DLC.
