For anyone putting faith in the Medium rumour; the devs have come out on Twitter saying it's not the PS5 game for this month.
Meanwhile, the fact that FIST is taking pre-orders are good news because that game would be a waste of a slot IMO. No doubt it will end up on Plus within the next two years anyway though.
Say what you want, but this is the right approach to take. If your annual sports title is stuck together with bubblegum and fails to provide significant improvements with every iteration, you should simply skip a year or delay matters further to get your product to the level of quality it needs to be at.
In other news, Madden NFL 22 just released, while its predecessor isn't even a year old.
@Iroha It's opposite for me, I will take Mahjong and other silly minigames over the Climax Battles any day of the week. Those can get rather ridiculous and cheap, whereas the minigames just tend to test the breadth rather than depth of your skills as a player.
I make an exception for the Disco in Yakuza 0, however - love the tunes but the actual minigame requirements are a kick in the 'nads.
Mite b cool, but literally the only time I even open the PS Store is to buy a game I've already decided upon - which is not often because I'm so obsessed with physical purchases. A fancy-schmancy store might thus not really work on me, but I'm sure others will be drawn in.
Anything that's not garbage. Another Yakuza game would be nice considering we haven't had one since Kiwami. I own them all physically, but it'd be nice to get more people into the series (and to tank the completion percentage for the game, Trophy-wise).
But at this point I'll take anything that isn't, y'know, hot garbage. I've almost resigned myself to FIST being the PS+ game, which I'm really not fond of, but if the PS4 games are okay then maybe September will be worth the 50% off subscription.
Big yawn, not the right developer, not the right era. Definite pass unless the Trophies are okay, in which case I will play it via PS Plus in a few years.
San Andreas Stories never happening for PSP/Vita is one of the greatest disappointments in modern gaming history. LCS and VCS improved on III and Vice City, one can only wonder how fantastic a second take on classic San Andreas would have been.
GTA IV and V are good games in their own right, but I don't think they ever recaptured that magic, that thing, that the 3D era titles had.
Would be nice to see the Show come to PS Plus but sounds like there's no incentive whatsoever on Sony's/MLB's part to do so when the money is still coming in.
I say that as someone who has never played a baseball game, btw. It sure would beat this month's disaster.
Out of this list literally the only game I own is GTA V.... on PS3. Last FIFA I played was '15.... on Vita, because I exhausted the library at that point.
I'm getting old, the industry is leaving me behind lmao.
Host was complete cringe, exceptionally forced and just not funny at all. Wasn't surprised to find out he was a 'wrestler' with the acting he put on display.
As someone who lived in Singapore (but isn't Singaporean), everything about this story is disgusting. The country has an incredibly qualified workforce, some of the brightest minds in Asia, and this project has been mismanaged from start to still-distant-finish by the mostly Western leadership. Ubisoft are a laughing stock and I hope the members of the boardroom lie awake at night over the money they've burnt and the Singaporean employees they've made so miserable.
These trailers always look good but come release it's the same old live service crock of **** served up by the same team that was responsible for V. I think we can all do better than continuing to go off of these highly polished teasers before the inevitable disappointment on day 1.
Mite b cool, although I've always wondered about the feasibility of RTS games on Playstation. Next time Tropico 5 is on a deep sale I might give the genre a go.
Have to say that Jeff Goldblum and the nice lady from the modern movie don't do anything for me with their presence here. The budget is better spent on the actual game, so to speak.
I never understood people's fondness of Tina, awful voice acting and just an annoyance throughout. At least she's teaming up with Lego Batman now, I guess?
Hopefully this will make people a bit more wary of (always) online nonsense. All server-based online modes can potentially be exploited, and for Sony to be bested by one very dedicated nutter in this case is rather embarrassing.
Have owned a PS5 since Feb and only just bought my first game for it - the remaster of Judgment. I must be dragging the numbers down, especially since I'm not buying anything else until Lost Judgment comes out and goes down in price.
Last time I bought a new Ubi game was Far Cry 2 on release. They only got money from me once since, for DLC that wasn't ever available physically. Ubi might commit to whatever but I'll continue to steer well clear.
Performance issues? Even after all this time since the launch of the original? You'd think they'd have ironed everything out by now, how disappointing. Hard pass for me.
The fact that Criterion and another studio were brought in to help hapless DICE doesn't bode well, does it? Having just sank enough time into Battlefield V to get the Plat, I can't say I'm very impressed.
I think the article needs a slight edit in that the Japanese version of Like A Dragon got the Final Millenium Tower dungeon as paid DLC, which to me represents a significant add-on. It was included in the base Western game but the precedent is there, and I can't help but wonder, in light of this news, whether that dungeon served as a test run for future DLC.
Finishing up the awful, awful singleplayer of Battlefield V for the Platinum before moving on to Persona 5. Looking forward to seeing how it improves upon P4G.
Just to brighten everyone's day, Puyo-Puyo isn't in the PS5 version. The arcade cabinets and completion requirement have been replaced by Virtua Fighter 2, hallelujah!

Re: NHL 22 Reveal Trailer Shows Off a New Look for the Franchise on PS5, PS4
Have to question the decision to force Frostbite on anoyher franchise when this engine was designed with shooters in mind.
Re: Madden NFL 22: All Trophies and How to Get the Platinum
For once I appreciate the copy+paste job EA have done here. List is virtually the same as in previous years.
Just pray those glitches get solved. Ineptitude is rife with these devs. '21 was glitchy as too.

As long as it doesn't end up being a PS Plusgame upon release.... we've had enough dire selections.

Re: Take-Two Has a Trio of Unannounced Ports or Remasters in the Pipeline
Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories need ports. Badly. Two of the best 3D era GTAs, yet both are stuck on the PS2 and PSP.

Seeing this artist always makes me wonder where Dan Schneider went. One of life's great mysteries....
Re: GTA Online's Los Santos Tuners Breaks Records, Rockstar Giving Out Free Money
I was playing GTA Online on PS3, actually. Servers close in December so needed to mop up the DLC Trophies.

Recently unlocked the Plat for the original Farming Simulator on Vita. When I'm on my deathbed I know for a fact I will regret those 40 or so hours.

Wasn't the base game itself already enough of a Director's Cut? Not hating Kojimbo, top lad and all, but this seems like overkill.
Re: EA Play Members on PS5, PS4 Get Early Battlefield 2042 Beta Access, 10 Hour Free Trial
Giving EA money in 2021? Couldn't be me! Last game I bought off them new was Burnout 3, everything since has been used copies and no DLC.
I'll play DICE's latest sloppy mess when it comes to PS Plus in 2023.

In all seriousness, out of all these games only the Akiba remake is of interest to me. Gonna wait for a big price drop though.
