@Americansamurai1 Yeah that's be a shame, the cars and radio in Mafia 1 just aren't as good as Mafia 2 and 3. I'd still buy it day one of course. Would just love to plat them all again. Really enjoyed all the DLC for Mafia 3.
I tend to only go after the credits or if I have a game already installed of late. Some games can be launched after a partial install and that does it. A lot of the challenges are only really viable for those with expanded storage and a Lan cable.
@Rob_230 you choose which is used for default installs. When you go to storage you can see both drives and their capacity. Updates for games go to where that game is installed. You can transfer from one to the other if you want to re-organise. The same as having 2 drives on a PC. Very intuitive.
Not sure why everyone is saying XCOM? That is turn based, I'd welcome that! This is real-time with slow down abilities. Totally different. Same isometric viewpoint? Sure, but not the same thing. Like comparing American Football to Soccer.
Also, I see a lot of AV and 3D enthusiasts lamenting the lack of inclusion for BluRay3D support. It's a lot cheaper to buy a headset than a 3D home cinema. There's a market Sony is missing out on there. The PSVR1 resolution and colour is too low for viewers used to modern, vibrant screens.
Ancient Dungeon is one of the best VR games out there and happily it has been confirmed for PSVR2. Should have been there at launch though. It is that good!
Ace Combat was a mind blowing experience on PSVR. Really hard to Stomach though. Would break out in hot sweats because of the intensity of the manoeuvres. Ancient Dungeon is amazing on Quest 2. Would love to see that on PSVR2.
The remaster of Colossus was decent and had a very good 3D mode. Looked great when on top of a shrine. The remake was a huge leap though. PS2 to PS4 is a bigger graphical leap than PS3 to PS5. Considering the draw distance and LOD (level of detail) of an open world game back then.
I'd be inclined to include Deliver us the Moon. Has a PS5 version also and is free on the upper PS+ tiers. Light puzzles, audio holograms, linear. Wasn't expecting it to be like that, in a good way!
TOP TIP. Sleeping Dogs does not appear on the PS5 store. You can find it on the PS4 store, mobile app or in a browser. Once purchased (usually 4.99) you can initiate a download to your ps5 or access it in your library. Worked for me this year.
Played it for the first time this year on PS5. Runs really well at 60fps. Got the platinum. Ticked all the boxes and put a few modern open worlds to shame.
@Danloaded oh forgot about that. Yeah love the lack of hud. Games werevery frustrating though. Would be cool if they just re-released with all fake companies. Tbh I recently started Sleeping Dogs definitive on PS5 for £3.75. wow love the open world and systems in that. Going for the plat. Besides the Mafia series there's not much out there for real world immersion. I think Getaway has a good chance of being revived tough.
@Danloaded Both Getaway games would be great but highly unlikely. There were so many licenced shops and brands in that game. Even businesses that dont exist now like Blockbuster and Woolworths. Old BT vans that got changed on a 2nd release. The legal implications are probably too high. Mass shootings with familiar branding in the background is no no these days. Saying that, I'd like to play them again with updated controls.
The only problem here is the game list. So many titles cannot be released because of licence issues. All the classics I'd like to play are stuck to using old hardware or PC emulation.
So Returnal is £70 with no demo. Resident Evil Village is out a week later and is £55 with 4 demos and an established I.P. RE doesn't need reviews to sell. A new I.P. with no history and no demo only does well based on review scores. No other way to risk the purchase. Days gone had reviews dragged down by technical issues. Outsiders has done well because it had a demo and gamepass amid technical issues.
@Nexozi i completed the campaign for wrc7 when 8 came out, then found there were no players online. There's either hardly any online players, reduced servers or servers are turned off for the older titles so no chance of those trophies.
@awp69 yeah I just realised that. While it's downloading it says dirt 5 but once it installs it changes the dash icon description to trial. A little misleading. The deno is the full install size to buy the unlock.
It'd be nice to have a non cliche campaing where the captain isn't shouting and angry at you all the time, like in their last WW2 game. Would love to see a ww2 battle royale island also!
Resistance Fall of Man has no Trophies. Surely there was no completion incentive to do multiplayer anyway? Is there a reward for 100% multiplayer in that? concept art or something?
@BloodNinja in an investigation EA stated that FUT is not classed as gambling because the players have no real world value after purchase. The selling of players for 1000s kinda disproves that.
This searches fine on my daughters PS4 but doesn't appear in ps5 searches, even though the PS5 store features a PS4 section. hmm. Was looking forward to trying this. EU titles often drop on a Wednesday so I'll see if it changes tomorrow.
@Jackpaza0508 cannot see any open world non urban game getting raytracing for the next 5-10 years. It wouldn't be noticeable and would take performance away from other areas. Raytracing is more noticeably beneficial in reflective surfaces. not a factor in Horizon.
@Floki so I've only played Oceanhorn on ps4. So 1 game. I only bought it because of the isometric viewpoint which it did perfectly. The 3rd person view, on a budget, is a hard market. The isometric market is not. Oceanhorn could own that. What it did was exceptional. What I see from the new trailer is not. Just saying
Really enjoyed and got the Platinum on the original. This sequel seems to have lost all the charm. The isometric viewpoint made it stand out. Trying to compete with free camera 3rd person zelda clones, on a budget, is a shame. An isometric adventure is a selling point.

I'm just hoping for a surprise announce of Mafia Trilogy PS5/SeriesX. The definitive, definitive edition!
Re: Feature: Predict The Game Awards 2023 with Our 20 Question Quiz
@Americansamurai1 seems like Sony would show new stuff in their own state of play videos. No competition for the conversation that week maybe?
Re: Poll: What Is Your PS5, PS4 Game of the Year 2023?
Nice to see Aliens Dark Descent on the list. Absolutely loved it and has had really good support to improve it further.
Re: Poll: What Is Your PS5, PS4 Game of the Year 2023?
@darthvirgin I'm literally having a blast with that game! Makes sense though. It's not a new game. Got a later release on PS.
Re: GTA 6 Leaks Allegedly Go Viral on Social Media Days Prior to Full Reveal
I took the day off work for the GTAV launch on PS3. My preorder arrived after I would have finished work that day!

Re: PSVR2 Guide: Everything You Need to Know About PS5 Virtual Reality
3D Bluray playback is huge factor for me. Currently not possible with PSVR on PS5, only works on PS4, at the dated resolution.

Re: Poll: Sleeping Dogs Turns 10 Years Old - Are You Still a Fan?
@SoulChimera It is uncapped so goes to 60fps automatically. It would only have needed a patch to uncap it.

bought this in a sale last year so I wouldn't mind paying a little for the upgrade. A quality meaty racing game offers a lot of gameplay value imo.
