I hope this comes to fruition. But, I don’t think it’s happening. PlayStation needs it more than ever. Their first party lineup is getting stale and predictable tbh. Portfolio diversification is important.

I don’t know why they decided to change the face models of Peter and now MJ, while they kept Miles’ face model the same? The original PS4 face models were a lot better. I am now less hyped for this game tbh. The unnecessary decisions they’re making doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Just to keep everyone in check, he said “a VERY interesting week for PlayStation”. He didn’t specify what exactly. It doesn’t have to be video games announcements, it could be a big casting announcement for a movie from PlayStation Studios for example. Temper your expectations.

They’re brilliant, especially the Aloy one. There’s also Nathan Drake using his grappling hook to climb up the stadium. It’s brilliant marketing from PlayStation.

@Umar That’s the problem. I feel PlayStation has become a “Western” company. I don’t like this “cinematic experience” approach. It feels soulless. I assure you, people will get bored with it. Variety is essential.

I think it’s time Sony to make a new portable device. But I also think it’s too late for that, especially after the closure of Japan Studio. So now they only have Team Asobi and Polyphony as the only two Japanese first party developers. I think PlayStation have lost the market in Japan, sadly. But they have to get back.

I mean, nothing is impossible. I would love PlayStation to go back there again. But, with Japan Studio now closed and the first party titles are now focused on western developers and the culture at PlayStation is now more “western”, I don’t think PlayStation will develop a new handheld again. Sadly.

I’m more excited of what Ken Levine is working on in his new studio Ghost Story Games than this new BioShock tbh. BioShock without Ken at the helm won’t be the same.

This could mean two things. It’s either they’re bringing in new blood to Japan Studio, or there are disagreements of the direction Sony is handling Japan Studio. I hope it’s the former. But let’s wait and see. Wish them both the best.

Yes, I think Horizon Forbidden West will be out by the end of this year. It has been almost 4 years since the first game came out. And I can’t wait to play it.

I agree with Liam. I think Sony should name their other “State of Play” differently. If it’s indie focused, give it another name. Not State of Play. Just like Nintendo has the indie world showcase, they didn’t name it direct. It’s a simple solution tbh.

I remember Puppeteer came during when GTAV came out, which is unfortunate. But the game was fantastic. I would love a new Puppeteer.

This was unexpected. IO Interactive is the perfect developer for a new Bond game and universe. Very exciting. But the timing of the announcement is odd. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was originally planned to be revealed at the game awards.

I don’t like this. I really hope they don’t shutdown Japan Studio. It’s what made PlayStation unique from the competition. Sadly, the games didn’t sell well. But the quality is really good. Astro Bot, Gravity Rush, Puppeteer and many other really fun games. If this is where PlayStation is heading, then my excitement for the PS5 has dwindled.

This is cool. But, I hope SP makes a remastered version similar to Marvel’s Spider-Man. Ray-tracing, 3D audio...etc. To take full advantage of the PS5. Because I’ve yet to play it.

I call this BS. I think Sony interfered and changed the character model so that it kinda looks like Tom Holland to a degree. So people can associate Spidey to Tom Holland. There’s no other explanation. Especially after Sony acquired Insomniac. I really prefer the original Peter. Now we have to start all over again.

It is a bit confusing, but I get it. I’ll get the ultimate edition. And I think they’ll release Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered as a stand-alone eventually.

If you look closely at 0:47, the emblems on the ships’ sails...they look like Hogwarts houses. From left to right: Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor. Not sure where is Slytherin. Could it be a hint?!

I don’t think this is a response to Marvel’s Avengers. This is not a GaaS. The game looks really good. It’s a single player with a co-op option. I love the art style of this game, and the game looks very promising. I’m so in.

Interesting. This came after that Rocksteady’s SS tease. Maybe they saw a huge interest and engagement for it and decided to not go for sale.

That’s great, they deserve it. I heard some rumours for a while that they’re making SOCOM too, take it with a pinch of salt. I won’t be surprised BTW.

Called it. There’s no way Sony will just make an announcement for this out of nowhere. They have to build it up. Make an announcement prior to the announcement. And we don’t know Other than Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales what will launch with the PS5 yet. And the OS of course.

I’m also very skeptical about the rumour that the pre-orders will go live today. The announcement has to be built up, and don’t forget we don’t even know about the the PS5 OS yet. I think they’ll do a State of Play for that, and reveal the price and release date.

I hope Sony don’t muddy the messaging on their upcoming event. They should only focus on games that will release on the PS5, period. If they’re going to speak about PC ports, they should reveal it on a blog post.

I don’t like this move. The blog is actually the North American one. There’s an ESRB rating at the banner of Ghost of Tsushima, despite the Merging. And the time shown in the comment section is PDT. It’s not right. They should differentiate.

Of course it would have difficulty options. They want to go as mainstream as possible. I think there’s a checkbox for all Sony first party studios that goes like “Difficulty options” when they develop a game. No way it’ll be like Ni-Oh or Sekiro.

Cautiously optimistic. I still need to see more of the gameplay and combat. There is still something off about them. Or maybe I’ve seen these before. SP clearly took inspiration from other games. I’m less excited than before.

Microsoft needs to communicate because they need to. They lost the current generation, so they have to be proactive to continue the goodwill and win fans back. On the other hand, Sony are busy with their first party games, they’re preoccupied at the moment. But I believe they’ll talk when they’re ready.

So my Champions League theory was correct. Although I predicted it would be on late February, also the other half of the 2nd leg of matches got postponed due to the current environment. But my theory still stands.

We shouldn’t be surprised by these file sizes now, especially as we are heading to a new generation. Glad I moved and upgraded my internet plan to a new ISP with a faster and unlimited data.

Here’s my theory. The PS4 reveal event happened at the round of 16 first leg of the champions league on 20th February 2013. I remember it very well, because that’s when Milan defeated Barça (before Barça did a comeback in the 2nd leg). PlayStation is a UCL sponsor after all. And this season’s RO16 first leg will be played on the 18, 19, 25 and 26 February. My bet the reveal event is on the 26th.

Hmmm. That’s going to be the task for the PS5’s marketing team. Never thought that it’ll be confusing if both consoles will have a blue colour scheme. You can make a case also it’s the colour scheme for the PS3 boxes as well. I prefer they stick with Blue, obviously. Blue is a more attractive colour to the human eyes than black.
