In no particular order: Rise of the Ronin Star Wars Outlaws Black Myth: Wukong Kunitsu-Gami Prince Of Persia Looking forward to a few others as, plucky squire, banishers etc. 3rd party as always knocking it out of the park!
@GamingFan4Lyf Genuinely wasn't a 'console war' comment just wanted to mention the china hero project / different strategy for announcements. I've enjoyed Xbox and their games and I like that the fact people in general have different preferences. Each to their own as it were. Every company from time to time deserves praise/derision but I would never actively take part in gamer division. Take care and have a great 2024
@GamingFan4Lyf Looking at that list I don't see any of the china hero project titles. Maybe I'm mistaken with them being exclusive/multiplayer. Stellar blade, lost soul aside and exiledge. Perhaps Sony also don't want to announce things many years in the future as the only games in those lists with release dates as far as I'm aware are Rise of the Ronin and FF7 rebirth. But at the end of the day as always, time will tell and hopefully patience rewarded
Enjoyed it for the most part, added a few titles to the wishlist and glad to get some release dates (rise of the Ronin/black myth). Would have loved new trailers for Hades 2 and kunitsu-gami, but I guess we can't have it all. Looking forward to 2024 without it hurting my wallet too much!
It's a shame that a unique, well made/written game has been reduced to the choice of using anthropomorphized characters. Especially as the most famous game character of all time seems to partake in the lifestyle (I'm looking at you Mario with your raccoon suit). I get that it can be jarring but I'm glad devs take this creative risk, I mean crash bandicoot would have been a weird game if it was just a regular guy spinning around and collecting fruit. In any case we as gamers are spoilt for choice (particularly in the indie game space) and I just hope this does well for the dedicated dev team behind it.
Glad to hear the gameplay is tight and addictive, I personally feel story is secondary on these sorts of games so not worried by that. Looking forward to getting stuck in tomorrow!!
There are aspects of this that look genuinely fun but I find the creature design is really lacking in variety (particularly aesthetically) and I personally find sand world's to be one of the least interesting to explore. Still I'm gonna keep an eye on it just in case it reviews exceptionally well.
Am I missing the point? I thought this article was essentially to say the FTC has ammunition to illustrate the double speak of Phil/Xbox and as such these 10yr contracts aren't worth the paper they're printed on. Just to clarify, I have zero interest in this game and I'm sure both companies will be fine regardless of whether the deal goes through or not.
You've convinced me to add this to my wishlist. I find these days I have a lot more fun with these indie/aa games for their condensed quality and gameplay innovation. Just feeling so burnt out on the AAA gaming space.
Out of all the game shows I watched, this is probably the game I'm most hyped for now. Hoping to get a further look with the capcom show tonight. The art style is stunning and the combat looked fluid and fun, can't wait to learn more!
@carlos82 I suppose if they do show a lot of the games people are hoping for at summer games fest it'll be because that event has a larger audience and a larger proportion of people not already in the ps ecosystem. Risky strategy if that's the case by alienating the current player base with this showcase but I imagine it's more a case of them not actually having much more to show. Either way, good things come to those who wait and third party are still knocking it out the park in the meantime
Liked the look of phantom blade 0, Neva and ultros, given my back log and other 3rd party games I've wishlisted that was more than enough for me for the foreseeable.
I know they won't because the devs spent so much time crafting Hogwarts school but I would much prefer a game set in one of the other wizarding schools. I think would allow the team to be more creative with the world building and flesh out the wizarding world in a more interesting way.
I did play Bubsy 3D and it was absolute dross but I have such fond memories of a 2D bubsy (I think on the sega mega drive) where you could play 2 player. You were able to choose to either play friendly or feisty and I had laughed so much as I dropped banana skins whilst my friends tried to do the platforming. Good times or rose tinted ones, who knows. Point is, if they bring this series back it is best left to 2 dimensions!
Also if this acquisition goes through doesn't it set a precedent thus making the acquisition of EA and taketwo easier for Microsoft if they choose to go that route?
This may come across as stupid/naive but couldn't Microsoft just rebrand COD to avoid any contractual obligations? Assuming they keep their word with the 10 year deal and don't screw PS over, then Sony has 10 years to develop a COD rival which seems like more than enough time, plus who's to say COD will still be the same juggernaut in 10 years as it is now. At the end of the day I couldn't care less as personally I find COD dull and frustrating

I think I'd rather work for jabba the hut than Yves Guillemot

After watching the Neva trailer, I bought and played Gris with the wife. Hopefully finish off Sable and finally have a crack at the diablo 4 Beta

Inspired me to buy gris to get a feel for the studio and at £3.49 you can't go far wrong

Gonna have me an indie weekend! Dipping in and out of Dead Cells, Dredge and Olli Olli World.
All great games for pick up and play mini sessions

Space Marine 2 seems to be a glaring omission imo. Definitely one of the games I'm most hyped for in any case.
