I don't get it. Why would Sony compete with Amazon...on its own digital platform? This just doesn't really make sense

I guess Vita TV didn't make that much of an impact. I wonder where the Vita will go from here...

@charlesnarles Well keep in mind that each console costs money to make from parts and labor. Not every dollar earned is net profit.

It actually is refreshing to read something that doesn't talk about controversy in GTA.

To me, variety is very important. That's why I like Warioware in particular. Even though each game lasts less than 5 seconds, there's such a variety that keeps the game fresh.

I might be interested in this myself. I don't want to spend $400 on a console I probably will never use (like my PS3). However $100 is much more appealing.

Just to clarify, can this thing play games I bought on my PS3? I have mostly old PS1 and indie games.

Odd how it supports touch controls and a second screen but it's not on the 3DS. Maybe in due time...

Why not go for red? The Wii U is blue and the Xbox One is green already...

On the flip side, this gives publishers an excuse to have even more bloated budgets for their games only to crumble when they don't sell millions of games. I don't really see the need for 300 GB discs.

@Sammy: Unfortunately it may not happen soon unless the Vita can pick up sales. Publishers seem to be reluctant to support consoles without a lot of monthly sales (Wii U mostly).

Seems to me that Vita bombed in Japan. They focused too much on the Western audience and the 3DS swooped in and took any chance of being a big seller in Japan as a result. They need to get the Vita back on board there

@turtle: Not really since Nintendo will be the first one to capitalize on it. Sony will probably release a similar model later if the Wii U is very successful

@gambitttt: This is AT&T we're talking about. They are notorious for slapping fees left and right. The reason me and my family dropped them was because they kept overcharging by $60+ each month. I dunno if they'll pull the same crap on the Vita, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

After the fiasco with my PS3, I dunno if I'll ever be interested in the Vita. I couldn't afford 2 handhelds time and moneywise anyway Ah well, enjoy the good times Vita owners

Vita may not have a real shot now that they delayed it and Nintendo dropped the 3DS's price to $170 with some good titles coming this fall.
