@dryrain People always get upset when a price goes up. I say look at what you're getting and ask if it's worth the new price. If you're getting stuff what's worth more than you're paying, you can't really complain.

@wiiware That's an odd statement considering Dragon quest IX, X, IV, V, VI, VII and now VIII are on Nintendo systems. Are those "side projects"?

What's weird is how none of their stories match. Another Square exec (former?) said that Yamauchi (spelling?) was more polite about it

@Octane From what I saw, I think he meant that the Switch may not get as many exclusives as the PS4, which is a valid statement

Switch is probably going after the 3DS market more than the PS4 market.

@get2sammyb From what everyone says, the developer bought the rights back from Sony and someone else is publishing it. ALso, I thought the 2014 trailer looked much worse than this one

Nintendo got all the Dragon Quest main titles in some form. I'm sure XI will come to Switch.

9: DS
10: Wii, Wii U
11: 3DS, Switch?

I played the demo and enjoyed it a lot. I have never really played a horror game before, but the Silent Hills demo (whatever it was called) and this are making me interested.

I'm skeptical. I think VR will be popular with a small niche crowd, but I doubt it'll be the "future of gaming". It seems like motion controls all over again, just with expensive equipment and a headset.

It's like Minecraft, but you can beat the crap out of slimes...so it's a far-superior Minecraft

So it's like Mighty No 9 without all the train wrecks leading up to its release. When will we learn not to overhype the crap out of games?

With that said I'm so hyped for the new Zelda game!

@sinalefa Not supporting? Uh, Wii U has a much larger presence in just about every retailer than Vita. Vita is shoved in a corner dead as a doornail. Granted it does have a supporting audience.

Personal tastes set aside, it was a good showing. The pace was great and it focused on the right stuff without any stupid awkward moments. The orchestra was a nice touch too.

@glassmusic The game is so ridiculous that the controls are part of the fun. Now granted I only played this on the PC with some friends. It's ridiculous fun.

They're both right. I think the Wii U has the most great games and many others think the PS4 has the most. It's all a matter of opinion

Also, we should accept that Microsoft is bad. They didn't even show up at the VG Awards show while Nintendo and Sony stole the show

I think the problem is overhype. These companies' marketing departments talk about how great the game is, pushing gamers' expectations to soaring heights...then ultimate disappointment.

@ErnisDy Two problems. First of all, "good games" is entirely subjective to the audience. For example, I don't think PS4 has any good games. Second, that would make sense if the Vita were selling like crazy, but it's not.

As much as they give out on the subscription, are they really profiting at all?

The Xbox One is doomed now

@Cyrso I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with some of that either. The main problem is when publishers abuse them to death
