@sub12 i guess we all agree to disagree. But the opinion I guess boils down to whether you are a casual player or a die hard veteran, and I certainly fall into the latter category. I didnt need or want arcade mode. My enjoyment of the SF series came from playing other players not the CPU in arcade mode. Now it's clear that this is a glaring omission based on the games negative reception. I guess in hindsight, Capcom screwed up here big time.

@Feena capcoms hand was forced to release earlier as the pro season started in early 2016. Otherwise we would have had SF4 become the premier capcom game for another year.
I made it to gold rank despite not earning points from rage quitters. From there on its nigh on impossible to progress especially as the points per win is reduced significantly. Losses against lower ranked players at gold level is a huge set back. This is what needs to be looked at. The matchmaking should only pair players at a similar level.
The game itself is a solid 9/10 for online play and majority of the people play online. Single player Arcade mode is more for the casual players and capcom made it clear before launch that there will be a story update in June. I don't get what the fuss is about.

Pro players would then have 6 months to train and iron out bugs/glitches in time for the pro tour for 2017 where sf5 would be the premier event.
Well this is a disappointment and embarrassment for Capcom. Stress testing on the Beta's should have been open to ALL public. How else would you simulate launch traffic?

Whilst the lack of single player content at launch is not ideal, what I am looking forward to is the online play and lobbies which accomodate more than two players. This to me is streetfighter. Going one v one as though we are on an arcade cabinet with a queue of people waiting for their turn for glory. That's what it's all about.
The puns on the subheading of reviews is almost on the same level of puns used by the teletext 'Digitiser' page from the mid nineties. Ahh teletext, the memories....
I remember finishing ff7 first time without having Vincent join the group, missing various things (breeding gold chocobos, knights of round) along the way which would have been impossible without a guide at the time.
I see what square Enix are doing here. Relax guys. To pay ultimate homage to the original it will be like Disc 1, disc 2, and disc 3 all over again......
@kyleforrester87 if I am not mistaken Ruby and Emerald were added to the western release and I found those two side challenges fascinating at the time. I have to admit i used the prima guide though
@marston1983 if I am not mistaken there are very few enemies (in disc1) who provide enough exp to level up even if you had her in your party upto that 'moment'. Which means it will be one long grind to get that final limit break.
Looking at the list though, I obtained all the gold trophies on my original ps1 playthrough. If only I could transfer my ps1 save over and resume....
@superstu I am about 5% in and have been playing this since Saturday as it got delivered early! I got my first S rank and now feel like replaying all the early missions earning S, before moving on to the rest of the story.
@rastamadeus I signed up on day one. Also Pre ordered on amazon USA but to no avail. I hear though that the beta is currently restricted to north America so I guess I have a bit more time to find one.

I bought one of these as mad katz took an eternity to release their ps4 stick. Great stick and I actually prefer the hori now.
On a side note, t's a shame that capcom announced ps3 sticks being compatible with sf5 a week before release.
