@2cents Yep, the joys of getting the console on release. If you can hold off for a bit they'll probably be down a bit in the new year. Black Friday as well could have some deals on.
@Bamila Yes, but that would down the line. They'll no doubt have a lot of them already ordered. If nobody buys them then eventually you would think MS would drop the price to get rid of them. Unfortunately due to the games sizes (even if they are dropping a bit) 1TB is not enough. Both Sony and MS are forcing users to get the expanded storage by going with that size.
@Bamila Are you replying to: How often are you going to be taking it out of ur PS5 and putting it into ur PC? You would like to think you'll be keeping it in the PS5 for at least a year or so. Then maybe upgrading. My plan is to put 1TB into both and then use my external HDDs to swap games back and forth.
@GADG3Tx87 I never mentioned the speed difference. Because Both systems are using different speed internal memory. The memory that MS are selling matches their internal memory exactly. This 3rd party one for Sony doesn't and isn't going to be as easy to fit. Think for the average non tech parent the MS external memory will be handier. The longer we can hold off buying them the cheaper both will get. Gonna be a good generation. Both Sony and MS are in strong positions.
@theheadofabroom I play on PC as well, not much recently due to the amount of cheaters. So I've just been sticking to the PS4 Pro and one X. With 500GB you could get away with for the time being. But considering modern warfare is over 200 the 250 is not really an option. Plus the price of the 250 as well. Hopefully the file sizes do drop a good bit. As I said I'll be going for the 1TB and that'll do me for a good few years. By then all the exclusives will have built up and I'll be sick of switching them about. π
@2cents Are you honestly going to buy a 250GB or a 500GB? Each to their own, but how many games are you going to get on that? Better buying a 1TB and a larger external drive. Then just switching out as you need.
@lacerz Not long until the PS8 brain implant. πππ
@MarcG420 They gotta make money some how. π Also can put a game on it and go to a friends house and put it in.
@Bamila How often are you going to be taking it out of ur PS5 and putting it into ur PC? You would like to think you'll be keeping it in the PS5 for at least a year or so. Then maybe upgrading. My plan is to put 1TB into both and then use my external HDDs to swap games back and forth.
@AdamNovice Strange reply, since the reported price for the Xbox proprietary storage is β¬219.99. Unless I'm wrong that's actually less than β¬229.99 for the PS5..... But continue, you do you.
@Col_McCafferty You do know you can still buy the games? It's not like they're gone forever. When they leave gamepass you usually get the option to buy at a discounted price. In general can you actually lend digital games to friends?
Anyway to answer the topic of discussion. I had decided a while ago not to bother getting the PS5 and just stick with my PS4 pro for another couple of years. Most of the exclusives Sony has been showing are mid / end of next year releases. The lack of communication in general has been awful. Haven't confirmed any certified expandable memory. Backwards compatability is cloudy at best. Then to top it off the farce that was the pre-orders!
The end of 2021 onwards will be a good time to pick up a PS5. There's life in the PS4 Pro yet, especially with some PS5 games going to be released on it. Most of these games aren't releasing until mid / end of next year, and by then we'll know a lot more about the system.
@get2sammyb I think there's a problem with the article. You say that Spiderman remastered takes up 105GB. But a couple of lines later you say:
Itβs worth noting that textures will be more detailed on the PS5, so developers may well be saving space compared to PS4 titles, but using it up with higher quality assets. In the case of Marvelβs Spider-Man: Remastered, for example, the original game with all of its DLC installed takes up approximately 75GB on the PS4, compared to roughly 55GB in its revamped form.
βWe have always said that we believe in generations. We believe that when you go to all the trouble of creating a next-gen console, that it should include features and benefits that the previous generation does not include. And that, in our view, people should make games that can make the most of those features.β
I thought the X900H or XH90 depending on where in the world u are was the only Sony TV supporting the features. Even at that it's additional features unlocked via a patch. @Northern_monkey Oh that size would fit my desk setup far handier. Could you let me know what the model number for that hisense is?

@Bamila Ah, but that is how it goes. Everything gets cheaper over time. Especially in terms of tech.
Re: SEGA's Making a Live Action Yakuza Movie
@Matroska ππ Probably will have had a new gaming trilogy too.

@AdamNovice All technology drops in price. Doesn't matter if it's proprietary or not. Also the Xbox one is hot swap, so that's a bonus.
