I can see why they're going down this route. They've seen the money that fortnite is bringing in and want some of that. They might get lucky and hit that 1 in a billion shot. Or they might not and it could all blow up in their face.

I personally have no interest in live service games or mobile phone games. Had Pokemon Go installed for about a week when it first released years ago. Had to Google Genshin Impact to find out what it was. Fortnite I've played a couple of times on console. I'm not a fan of the building aspect of it.

So the less single player story driven games release for the PS5 the less time I'll spend on it.

They lost my interest when they killed PES and went online only. Even if the master league mode is single player, I'll still not give them money for the way they have gone.

@Athrum I think it's the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl that's PS4 / PS5.

It's free on gamepass, so that's why most of the sales are on PS5 and PS4.

Does any know if these have the built in earbuds like the PSVR v2?

@huyi I'd def recommend getting Ghost of Tsushima, it's an amazing game. The story and side stories are brilliant. For me it's one of the greatest games of all time. Another to add to ur backlog. 😂😂

Hopefully Sony will keep releasing solid single player games and our backlog will remain healthy! 💪

@OmegaStriver I'm with u, will not rush out and buy the PS6 right away. I still have loads of PS4 games that I still have to finish. 😂 I'd say 3 or 4 years for a console is not long enough. I will probably not bother with the Pro version this generation. Sony will probably announce the PS6 3 years after the PS5 Pro has been released.

@huyi Yea, I don't see the PS5 Pro coming out by then either. Just was stories going round yesterday that both the new PS5 and series X were meant to be out by then. For me that's way too soon. Especially with covid and the shortages of chips and PS5s themselves.

Def prefer single player games as well. Ghost of Tsushima, Spiderman, God of War and Horizon etc so many great games. Can't wait for the next God of War and hopefully it releases this year.

Don't care about mobile games and if most PS5 exclusive games are going to be online service games I'll finally be able to get through my back log of games.

So the PS5 Pro will be released before support for the PS4 ends....

Looking forward to this. Got a refund for vanguard, so have just been playing modern warfare and Cold War. Great that it's going to be 2 years until the next one. Think the yearly release doesn't help the games.

Release GOWR and announce a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima this year and I'll be happy. I'll wait and see what actually changes with the new teirs. Will the quality of the monthly free games improve, I doubt it.

Played a couple of hours on gamepass. It's good, combat is mainly block and hit square a couple of times. It just makes we want more Ghost of Tsushima. Really hope they announce a sequel for it this year.

Ghost is top of another list, it's just the best game.

@BritneyfR_ee I would class PS5 releases or versions to be being on PS5. Since they have improvements that arent available on the PS4. So they will be ones that take advantage of the SSD and have haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support. Doesn't matter if you buy the physical or digital version of the game. Immortals on PS5 supports these features, that makes it a PS5 game. Playing a PS4 game on the PS5 doesn't class it as PS5 game.

There's a remake coming for the last of us on the PS5 and rumours of a directors cut for 2. So that could be the PS5 version. With additional content like what they did with Ghost of Tsushima.

Loads of great games for the PS5 already. Ghost of Tsushima is one of the best games ever. Definitely deserves its spot as number 1.

@BritneyfR_ee but TLoU2 doesn't have PS5 version. Maybe they'll release one in the future.

@Apfelschteiner 100% I haven't claimed any games with gold in a couple of years. Would be good it they let you add the games to your library instead of having to download them.

Don't have any of these, will give them a go. They can join the backlog.

Well look at that, when people complain things are changed. Unlike some of the ones posting on here that we're happy to just bend over and accept / defend the crap changes being made.

@Mikey856 I agree the game totally is, I know this has put friends off buying. So hope a lot of people don't buy it and then Sony will get the message.

I set myself a rule of not pre-ordering games after how bad WRC 10 was on the PS5. I broke it for GT 7 and was burned yet again. Now got another rule, never buy a digital game when physical copies are available. If I hadn't of bought GT 7 as a digital game it would be sitting in CEX now. This game deserves all the bad reviews.

@naruball ooooh exclusives, that don't work for over 24 hrs. 😂 I love my PS5, considering I've gone from 2 to 80 plats since getting it. This is the first real issue that's actually affected me. I guess u can't complain on this site. So.. all hail online single player games. That will become useless as soon as the servers are turned off.

I have both consoles and since getting the PS5 I have hardly touched the series X. Sony seems to be doing everything to get me to go back to the X.

Sony have denied my request for a refund because I pre-ordered it on the 3rd of March. As it downloaded before it could be played, I've apparently had it for over 2 weeks. Last digital game I buy from Sony.

Very disappointed with this. Had been enjoying the game, but this has really turned me off it. I've contacted Sony to request a refund. Maybe if enough people do it they will change the always online policy.

Didn't Sony take the hand out of Microsoft before the Xbox one launch because it was going to require an online connect?

@Anke I wouldn't be against paying it, but it would have to include some amount of stuff to make worth while. The problem is there'll be games ur not interested in at all releasing being add. Then ppl will complain about them the same way we do with PS Plus. Though I always add them to my library, I can't remember the last time I downloaded one of the games with gold ones on the Xbox. Another issue is that a lot of games release quite buggy day 1. Also then u have the games leaving the service despite u paying out that much.

Will mostly be playing WRC 9 for the 9th platinum of the year. Will also be trying to clear up some of the remaining trophies for Iki island.

@theheadofabroom it's such a good game, hope they make another one. I've still the collectable stuff to finish off. Going to do it once I finish WRC 9.

When I got my PS5 in Feb last year I started to get into trophy hunting. Finished with 2085 new trophies. With 62 plats! 🙂

@Bleachedsmiles 100% this. MS want gamepass on playstation. They've already been trying to get it on switch. This probably isn't the last purchase they make either. They're going to try to make it where Sony and Nintendo have no choice but to offer it on their platforms.

Sony should buy EA. You take away our guns we're taking away your sports.

Sony have a massive library of games and IPs. But is it enough to sway the average gamer? There will be people that will only buy an Xbox because COD is exclusive to it. Can Sony hit back against MS somehow?

@NoCode23 @nomither6 For me I find it's far quicker and easier to browse sites and get sports updates just using a mobile. I don't go to sleep with the console or TV on. Also don't use websites to watch films. Just use the Netflix, Disney or blu-rays. But my point was more about not buying a games console because it doesn't have a Web browser. 🤯 I also used the CD player on the PS1. 😂

If I'm going to change, it'll def be for the blue ones. Wouldn't mind the blue controller, but have a white and black one already.

@NoCode23 sounds like u want an Xbox and want to wait a few years for the slim PS5 model then... Don't get why the need for a game console to have a Web browser is so great. I def wouldn't pay for it anyway.

@Shepherd_Tallon Yea, will be interesting to see how they handle it. They'll need to give people some options on combining what they have and moving it into the new tier system. Or even just choosing what tier they want it converted into. For example a year ps plus is worth tier X for X amount of time, or tier Y for Y amount of time, or tier Z for Z amount of time.

What way is it going to work if u already have PS plus and PS now subscriptions?

Just started getting into them this year. Wasn't really bothered about getting the plat for games when I had the PS3 or PS4. Then got the PS5 in Feb this year and got 2 or 3 and then just snowballed. I've gone from 2 to 41.

Cool, 2 out of 3 free then.

Think I'll wait till its under £20.

If they're not full on remakes I won't be touching them. Played them the first time they released, so would need a good reason to play them again. It'll also show how much of a joke rockstar have become.

Why make new games when you can just sell old ones with with some new graphics.

They should stop talking and get VRR out. One of the big negatives when comparing against the series X. WRC 10 owners will know the horror of trying to play it on a PS5! Have to play it at 1080p, 120hz and blurring off to make the game playable.

Upgraded from the PS4 to the PS5 version. Was happy to pay the extra because I love the game. The changes really do make a difference when playing. Only issue I had when transferring my save game data was that I had started a new game + beforehand and the trophy for Baku the voiceless didn't transfer. But all the trophies for the normal play through plopped for the PS5 version. Iki island is great, though I've not completed it yet as I'm trying to stretch it out.
