I played a friend's copy (can you tell I'm winking with this eye patch on?) and really enjoyed the campaign despite its many, really damaging, flaws. The heroes and their abilities are all fun as hell and could absolutely hold up in their own standalone games. It's crazy how good they all feel and it's what makes me itch to buy this game (at a substantially reduced price, or after a substantially improved update).
Damn solid lineup. It's a shame I can't play Maneater, but then again, it'll be nice to have some new games to play right out of the box when I do get a PS5, apart from the upgraded versions of games I've already played.
I'm playing on base Ps4 and I'm having a lot of the same experiences you've detailed. Also quite enjoying myself. I see what it's meant to be and most of the time that's shining through for me - in anywhere from 4-10 hour intervals between crashes (better than my experience with crashing in Watch Dogs Legion, honestly).
To me it's the more mundane and irksome bugs or design choices that bring it down. Like the incredibly bad aiming for item pickups, the conflicting actions with the same button mapping, or the prompts getting stuck on screen.
I'm excited to see CDPR (hopefully) make amends and make the PS4 version - at the very least - a serviceable experience, and I look forward to eventually playing the proper next gen version when I upgrade.
Maybe I'm misinformed - I often am - but shouldn't those susceptible to seizures kind of assume triggering effects like this might come with the territory of playing games, especially those set in colorful neon futures?
The lack of warning is a dumb mistake, but vilifying them for not removing the effects is egocentric.
And if you think there was malice intended on CDPR's side, you're just plain stupid.
@ShogunRok Eh, not so much fighting over two games. GoT is a fine game and a rad exclusive. It's more fighting over the kind of ***** heads who would band together to review-bomb or spite-vote against (or harass the creators of) a game every chance they get. I'm certainly not on the same team as those types.
@TheArt I know right. It's been my main excitement for new hardware, the hope that they might have fixed that problem. I own 5 DS4s and all of them have some level of stick drift. One even started after 2 months, brand new.
Gotham Knights is only not in the same way Origins isn't. Intellectual property reasons. It's clearly post-Arkham Knight and heavily based off the same map.
The Suicide Squad thing is a little silly, considering Floyd Lawton changed races. I get the feeling it's got way too much to do with Will Smith's interpretation. What's this compulsion to borrow so much, visually, from David Ayer's awful movie?
My ideal games would be like a God of War or Life is Strange 2.
Games that never interested me from what I've seen of them, but because of high praise or my fondness for the franchise have always lingered in the back of my mind when I have no other games I'm particularly excited to play.
Tom Holland's face is far more convincing than Toby's on that body (and with that hair). He's just the only one deepfaked in that video, so it stands out more.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Consistent Crashing Issue Still Not Fixed on PS5, PS4 After Patch 1.05
I get them every 4-10 hours, so not particularly consistent.

Re: Talking Point: What Free December 2020 PS Plus Games Do You Want?
Avengers. I realllly don't wanna buy it. Not even at 50% off as it currently is, but there's a solid game hidden in there amongst the bloaty trash.
Re: GTA Online Adds an Entire Island in Biggest Heist Update Yet
I was worried I'd be pulled back into GTAOnline. Liberty City would have done that. This looks like more of the same. Worry vanquished.

Re: Sony Adds Game Names to New PlayStation Store on Web Browser
Good, that bothered me probably a lot more than it should have.

Am I crazy, or does this visually look pretty bad?
Re: Spider-Man Creative Director Speaks Out on Peter Parker's New Face Following Backlash
They changed his haircut. What technical reasoning do they have for that?
Re: Spider-Man Creative Director Speaks Out on Peter Parker's New Face Following Backlash
I mean, I like it better. But it was a weird fcuking thing to do...
Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Looks Way More Polished in New Story Trailer
Lolol, does it? Looks, to me, like a launch PS4 game that also had a PS3 version.
Re: Reaction: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Today's PS5 News
Wait... Is that real? Am I going to have to pay $125 CAD for a ***** video game?
Re: More Final Fantasy XVI Information Coming in 2021, Square Enix Confirms
@tatsumi He's only producing.
Re: Can You Name These PlayStation Peripherals?
14. Mostly luck though. I only really knew 2 or 3. Sphere 360 got me.

Nope, it certainly doesn't .

Re: Oh Boy, There'll Be a Backlash to This Marvel's Avengers Trailer
@TheFrenchiestFry Thanks for the tip. I remember being really interested in Shattered Dimensions, but for some reason never checked it out.
Re: Oh Boy, There'll Be a Backlash to This Marvel's Avengers Trailer
I can't imagine Spider-Man will be particularly fun to play without an open sandbox world.
Re: Talking Point: What Did You Think of the Latest State of Play Livestream?
@Arugula This is essentially what my thoughts were. The presentation was the best it could be for the underwhelming content it showed.
They managed expectations with their rundown of what was going to be shown, so that's good. But even with low expectations, I was bored to hell.
