@trev666 This is only true for higher-end AAA games. At $60, that's over $60 million, plus the $50 million + I'm sure Xbox gave them. Control was made for $30 million, and I assume this was close to that. The cost of labor in American studios makes games much more expensive to make as well.
@Constable_What Dude that stupid clown in front of the manor drove me crazy. I think the games biggest flaw is the importance of the perfect parry, with such a tight window. dozens of hours in and I still don't have it down all the way. Still a great game. Have you used the cranks to change weapons to fit your motivity build?
The production value of the game is incredible. It makes me wonder how bigger more experienced developers botch releases so often. I have had a silky smooth experience ... even though some of the bosses seem designed by entering into chatgpt "create a boss like bloodborne, but make it harder".
@Loamy oh man... you must be early still. The bosses become insanely difficult. Luckily there is a built-in "cheese" feature if you get stuck for more than two hours like I did on some bosses
I've actually enjoyed it so far. You can tell this was a live service game at some point and they pivoted away from it though. Fun story. I am a big fan of Snyders run for Batman, so the Court of Owls stuff is awesome. I also liked Avengers though, so maybe just a superhero nerd lol.
Bloodborne is my favorite game of all-time, but it's also very hard to go back to now. With stable framerates (usually 60fps now), the game feels crazy jittery and choppy. After an hour or so, and as long as I am only playing this one game, it all clicks again though. God DAMMIT Sony, do something to update this game, or make another one.
They really need to either, A) skip a year to build on a new engine/platform, or B) go the Call of Duty route and have multiple studios alternate years on the game. Not sure how anyone can say this is better than 2020. It's starting to feel more like an on-rails sportsgame mixed with RPG card game mechanics
@get2sammyb luckily this fake rumor is of little significance but imagine if it was this easy to spread false news about important things that actually have real world consequences... Funnynotfunny
I'm excited for this game. The lack of fun triple A games has been noticeable, and I cannot wait to jump in. I love the Arkham games, but they are hard to play now. Low frame rate kills the flow of combat.
It makes ZERO sense for Sony to reveal it's cards too much. 2022 is already stacked with games and with Playstation still outselling Xbox, I think they believe it's best to hold onto it's Ace's. Not a ton for me on this one, but with so many games to play right now, that's just fine. No secret passage, but Praise the Message.
@Ryall Scarlet Nexus was rad. The fact that the accessories you wore showed up in cutscenes and on the loading screen blew me away for some reason lol. I kept it downloaded so I can play the second character at some point.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Rollerdrome?
@Fill3rup_ I would give it a solid 8. I love the gameplay loop.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Rollerdrome?
Very fun game. The control scheme makes it difficult to play for casual gamers, but love it personally.

Re: Poll: What Is Your PS5, PS4 Game of the Year 2021?
@Ilovecoffee Far Cry 6 was so good. I don't understand the hate on this game. It was the best one since 3.

Re: Poll: What Is Your PS5, PS4 Game of the Year 2021?
@3Above Alright, I'll dive back in. I just don't think I'm playing it right . Do you switch characters often? I have only used ironface.
Re: Poll: What Is Your PS5, PS4 Game of the Year 2021?
@Kang81 totally understand that. Luckily, Deaths Door is a 7-8 hour game, and 10-12 for the Platinum. It also has one of the more fun plats.
Re: Poll: What Is Your PS5, PS4 Game of the Year 2021?
@3Above @Medic_Alert Tales of Arise was awesome for 25 hours, but it just fell off of a cliff for me. Still haven't finished.
Re: Poll: What Is Your PS5, PS4 Game of the Year 2021?
Shoutout to Returnal for most immersive experience. It took a little time, but once that game clicked, it was incredible.
Re: Poll: What Is Your PS5, PS4 Game of the Year 2021?
If you haven't played Deaths Door, PLEASE DO. One of the best games I have played in quite some time.
