@Czar_Khastik Oh cool, I wasn't actually aware that was a thing this game had, so I've actually learned something there! With that in mind, the original comment makes total sense.
@Orpheus79V The cynical answer would be money, but it's probably a combination of that, the fact everywhere else has it, and pressure from the press to release it on PlayStation.
Sony once resisted Roblox from being on PlayStation for reasons related to child safety. I can't imagine many people are going to disagree with them now.
Rumour has it that the person who hacked it found a way to use the notification system to post anti-trans messages to anybody who logged in, but I have nothing to back that up with, so make of that what you will.
Regardless, the vast majority of the DLC is licensed content from companies other than Sony, and some of the DLC pieces probably might have been made by other studios as well. Combine that with the fact that the game has lost one of the three core tenets of it's existence - the share part of Play, Create, Share. This is simply one that has fallen to Father Time.
There are probably a few people still playing each of these games in some capacity, but so few these days that it's no longer worth bothering for Sony to renew the licenses and pay the royalties. You (plural) may complain, but the simple fact of the matter is that nobody was playing it anyway. It's the same concept that killed any further hope for Dreams - nobody wanted to play it, so they've halted support on it, and won't ever port it. Expect Media Molecule's next game to be something a little more traditional, maybe in the vein of Tearaway or Sackboy: A Big Adventure.
So this Lawless character is a streamer and influencer, who steals from the rich to feed the poor. I think they managed to hit every youth-orientated buzzword with this character. The only problem is, not even avid readers of the comics have heard of this character, especially when there are other better known and more popular characters in the comics that can both fill the diversity quota, and bring in some fans to play the game.

It's not really "advertising" per se as rather it's what the most recent piece of news below the game is. That news could be a piece of info about the most recent patch, a bit of DLC, and even how-to videos. Some of the games I have installed don't even have any of that, and as a result it's just the generic screen of the game.

@Czar_Khastik Surely that would be 20,000,002 given the nature of the game?

Re: Nixxes Dev Refers to Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered as 'First Big PlayStation Content Project'
@__jamiie Sony owns Heavenly Sword. They were doing early work on a sequel at Studio Cambridge, but it never went any further than the drawing board.
Re: PlayStation Begins Pre-Orders for PS5's Chroma Collection, Horizon Remastered, More
The indigo is pretty sexy to be fair. Though they don't seem to have it in base PS5.
