@FinalForm LotF was underrated and imo nowhere near the worst Soulslikes. It was made by The Surge devs which is also good. However, Mortal Shell is better. Different but a bit better.

In fact, I'll say that Ashen is massively overrated and LotF is superior. For it's time LotF had great visuals and solid combat. Not a great game but certainly decent. Ppl forget that Bloodborne hadn't released and Dark Souls 2 was the measuring stick. It actually trumped DS2 in many areas.

@theheadofabroom Great month but unfortunately I own the two big games and no interest in Legos. I was hoping for Heavenly Bodies as well.

@Roqka Amular remaster and three of the best VR games ever made definitely qualified as a good month for me. Didn't we get Hitman 2, Predator, and Overcooked PS5 the previous month? Those are all good to me. Not FFVII good but still decent.

@sonicmeerkat Knack 2 is a quality game. Legitimate. Great co op and excellent combat.

@Ralizah Godfall has one of the best and deepest combat systems ever. It also has incredible build depth if u actually know the game well and the visuals are gorgeous. It's been massively overhauled and sports great endgame content as well as excellent free and paid dlc. The game just isn't trash. You look like a fool because you really have no clue. Godfall's endgame is spectacular.

Death's Door looks like a fine isometric game. 8/10 sounds right, but it saddens me to see these awards and nominations go to simply the most popular games. 12 Minutes is nominated at TGA and it has a 71 Metacritic on XB1 and 74 on SX. I know scores aren't always accurate but ppl freaked out when Death Stranding was nominated bc it had an 82.

There are so many indies that won't be nominated bc they weren't promoted as much. Games with far better critical scores like Ender Lillies (86) or Unsighted (85) or Griftlands (87) are completely ignored by most sites. Sad.

@JJ2 like Resident Evil needs the promotion..

It hurts when a game that's already a household name gets the nod over more deserving games that actually need the publicity.

Returnal needs at least 30 GotY awards to gain traction. Unfortunately the fans are largely casual and most of the voting is fan based. Shame.

@NeonTiger True Colors looks like a Telltale game yet it's 60-80 dollars. The protagonist looks awful and her superpower is emotion. It has clothing DLC as well. Yikes. I want no part of that.

@everynowandben Returnal easily deserves and RE8 does not.

RE8 is also the lowest rated while being the most hyped. Hard to do when u get points just for hype.

R&C also deserves it over RE8. The fact that RE8 beat those two for best PS game shows how much of a joke the casual masses are. Clowns.

@Orochilocka it's also the lowest rated of the 6 or 7 nominees. Casuals are a plague upon the industry. Ofc the most popular game is going to get the fan vote. What a joke.

@torne 10 years and 10 releases later and it's still a mess. Good ole 82 Metacritic for the XB version though. Way to hold them accountable critics. As if another re-release wasn't bad enough... it's still broken. Yet everyone wants to rip Battlefield which is a new and ambitious game. Both deserve criticism but there is no excuse for Skyrim after ten years and running on advanced hardware.

@Toypop vrr is coming soon because Sony TVs just got the update so obviously the PS5 update will be here relatively soon. I guarantee it within 6 months.

@hypnotoad Yes. You can just play, no need to create. The game is a steal. Media Molecule continues to add games as well. There was a huge Halloween celebration with many new games and there will be a Xmas festival. The Ghostbusters games just came to Dreams, the campaign is great. It has VR. Yes.

@Woogy Sony TVs has auto tone mapping which is essentially the same thing as Dolby Vision and very few ppl have a true Atmos setup. I personally prefer that Sony has chosen to focus on 3D audio which is very accessible by virtually everyone. Specialized headphones are better but you will notice a difference with any set. Not sure if the update for regular speakers/TV has released but it will. The audio in Returnal for example shows this off well. Nobody is attacking audio like Sony in the console space.

Looks decent for a cinematic. Beta was trash but I'm tempted to buy Avengers just for this. It's wild that other platforms miss out on it. Sony privilege. I heard Black Panther was good, so I expect this to be as well. Avengers needs it.

PSVR2 is launching holiday 22 or spring 2023....MORE HARDWARE. PS5 Pro is already in development. PS5 and PS4 continue to dominate Xbox in hardware sales.

PlayStation is more successful than ever. PS4 is nearly at 120 million and PS5 is expected to hit 22 million by early spring. 47 million PS+ users and over 100 million active users. Four studios signed in three months. Numerous partnerships. Haven, Firewalk, Deviation. PlayStation is Sony's biggest earner. If anything, Xbox will leave the hardware business..

You have no clue what you are talking about. PlayStation is flying off the shelves. Sega killed the hardware business after numerous unsuccessful consoles culminating in the Dreamcast flop. Sony is riding the second best selling console of all-time and now the fastest selling console ever, back to back. Go home.

Bloodborne meets Bloodborne with a bit of Steelrising rip-off. This is more than just influence, it's sad. I feel bad for Sony/From and even more so for Spiders with Steelrising. This is a rip off. It looks decent because it looks like Bloodborne with some Steelrising skin.

At least a game like The Surge does its own thing. A game like Nioh as well. Both Soulsborne but each with unique settings and mechanics. This looks like they started with an exact Bloodborne rip and then as other Soulsbornes announced and released they stole more aspects. Sekiro, Steelrising, it's all there. Theft.

From Soft and SIE Japan deserve a cut of this. Funny enough, this game also rips upcoming ARPG Steelrising via Greedfall dev Spiders.

Seriously, watch this trailer and then watch gameplay trailers of Bloodborne and Steelrising. Direct robbery. Sad.

They probably put about 20 ppl on this over a period of several months. It's nothing. But don't worry, Nixxes will handle these ports from now on. To be fair though, this is a remaster and ND remastered TLOU which was worth every penny.

I'll grab it for under $20 just to because of Spiderman and the PS5 update. I knew the game was trash from the beta. Crystal Dynamics is the most overrated dev in AAA. Tomb Raider being the greatest offender. O-V-E-R rated.

@Salt_AU Everyone complained when Sport was themed around innovation. The FIA competitive mode and even some VR inclusion. Ppl cried for a classic GT experience. Now GT7 is giving a mix of both and you STILL cry. Pathetic.

Who exactly "innovates" in the car scene? Is Forza H5 a huge innovation? Did P Cars innovate? I think the innovative Sport mode plus a classic GT career, combined with cutting edge tech and 420 cars is absolutely perfect. GT7 is shaping up beautifully. The in-house RT engine and dynamic day/night/weather have me excited as well.

Endurance races with the sun setting and preparing for dynamic weather will be exciting. Utilizing snow tires. All the new cars. I can't wait.The best sim on console.

@zebric21 Umm have you seen any of the trailers? GT7 has a real career mode where you start out with a junker and buy/win/sell your way to the top.

It has 420 cars from the jump. Twice as many as GTS started with.

It has rain/snow/dynamic day/night.

Car customization.

Ray tracing, advanced haptics/adaptive triggers, 3D audio.

More tracks.

GT7 is a mix of classic GT + Sport mode. Basically the ultimate GT. It'll suit both solo and competitive players.

@Royalblues Bugsnax, The Pathless, Tribes of Midgard, Fist, Kena, Jett, Stray, Salt & Sacrifice, Solar Ash, Little Devil Inside. Sony is killing it on the indie and AA front. Even Disco Elysium, Fall Guys, and Axiom Verge 2 came to PlayStation prior to Xbox. What, because Death's Door and Carrion were a couple months late? Don't get it twisted.

The best looking graphics I have ever seen on console. Wow. The game looks phenomenal as well. All the new gadgets and enemy types. It will have numerous mounts, spear augmentations, deep underwater gameplay, etc. Sony is delivering right now. Rift Apart looks spectacular.

@LordOfTurnips For sure, but it was solid action back in 2007 and now it's minted in gaming history. The game has a special little place in my heart even though it's technically not a great game. It's still decent and fun. I'm excited to see what it looks like on PS5.

@charbtronic Every single game on PS5 that claims to have a 1440 resolution uses some form of upscaling to achieve a non-native 4K image. There aren't any true 1440 games anyway. Not really. This is so overblown and stupid. This isn't PC you have 144hz 2K monitor it's not like you could take advantage of it anyway on PS5. Just use your 4K TV for PS5.

It really has always boggled my mind why people invented this fake controversy. They don't make 1440 P televisions and who is going to use their little monitor for PS5? 4K TVs are like $200 now. And latency has gotten so much better on TVs especially those with 120 HZ panels. You can get a 50-in 4K with 120 HZ native on sale for like $700.

Look at the first question in the poll. There are four answers that essentially favor Xbox and only two that favor PlayStation. This s*** is so skewed. And a poll like this on a PlayStation site? Coming off one of the greatest console generations in history, at a moment when the PS5 is delivering everything it promised, breaking sales records and leading next gen, we get this propaganda bulls*** on a supposed PlayStation focused site?

It's obvious that Microsoft is using money and influence to Garner positive results. I'm not saying Push Square specifically is on the take, but the media as a whole is twisted and unwell.

Honestly, watching this site for years now, are u guys on the take? Seriously, it's unbelievable that a supposed PlayStation dedicated site is so anti-PlayStation. I thought, maybe they just hate VR, hence why they ride PSVR. However, it's starting to look questionable. Extremely so. That's the problem. Sony doesn't play the game. They need to appoint palm greasers as full-time staff. It's sad to see how twisted portions of the media have become. Doom and gloom Sony, meanwhile, they are coming off 7 years of absolute fan service and historic success while continuing to lead next gen in most major categories while continuing to support their fans with a wealth of quality content, VR, and innovation. DualSense is a revelation, PS+ is spectacular, they've had 5 of the last 8 consensus game of the Year winners, their 2021-2022 expected lineups are impressive. But doom and gloom because... Gamepass. FoH.

Sackboy is the best co op experience I've had in a while. I played on PS5, but obviously it's available on PS4. A Way Out is up there.

As far as online co op for a PS4 game, I'm going to say Alienation was some of the best co op of the generation. Helldivers was also quite enjoyable.
