@djlard You didn't like playing as a female, scanning surroundings, and climbing yet your avatar is Assassin's Creed....
AC has 2 games where you can be a female, eagle vision is used plenty, and climbing is often a chore. AND you quit HZD after 20 hours because you were bored yet you probably spent 200 hours grinding meaningless quests and side activities in AC Odyssey, right?
HZD is a great game, the Sony hate is appalling. Anything they do gets criticized, even rumors. HZD 2, Demon's Souls Remake, GT7, new 3rd party exclusives like Godfall. What exactly do you want? You want it to be more like the Xbox SX show? AC Valhalla and a bunch of last gen looking multiplats?
HZD literally had the best console grfx to date, combat was extremely well implemented, and the setting was enormously original. Also, how many games feature a bow n arrow as the primary weapon? How about the grapple gun to tie down dinosaurs?
HZD was a critical and commercial darling, it sold 15 million copies and scored about a 90 Meta. Pretty decent for a new IP.
I bet it's smaller and more sleek than the subwoofer SX. Just look at PS4 and XB1 at launch.
I have a launch Pro and a glacier white and I don't notice the fan unless it's been on for a long time and gets ultra hot. Generally I can't hear it, but then again, I keep my systems well ventilated whereas most ppl are clueless about that. You shove you PS4 in a closed shelf and wonder why the fan goes bonkers..
@Ryall well why do ppl make fan art or fan fiction? It's virtually the same thing. And there are far more original creations in Dreams than those based on copyrights.
@andreoni79 If Sony created the content, I would agree, but they didn't. Nor do they advertise it.
This is dramatically different than if Sony just made a standard game and threw Mario in. Sony created a toolset for ppl to create art. I believe this is incredibly uncool of Nintendo as non of the creators are profiting off this and in reality the Nintendo creations in Dreams hardly impact sales of bottom line. There are hundreds of thousands of creations and eventually millions. Out of all that I saw four legitimately playable Mario creations and one Yoshi interactive scene. And Dreams isn't even some multi million big money seller with microtransactions. It's a $40 game with no MTs or DLC and ongoing support/free content. It's a game for the ppl and Nintendo looks awful by doing this.
@Devlind do u actually play Dreams? Sony DOES NOT advertise ANY creations that use copyrighted material.
Nintendo related creations are but a tiny fraction of the content overall and ppl have been doing this since LBP. It hurts nobody and in actuality it helps promote Nintendo.
Creators don't profit off their creations and Sony doesn't advertise Nintendo related content. They actually discourage the use of copyrighted material and they promote original content within Dreams.
All this does is make Nintendo look like greedy pricks who want to stifle creativity. It wasn't hurting anyone, in fact, Dreams is what this industry needs. Nintendo should be supporting this creative revolution not tearing it down.
I have little influence, but the 636 followers I do have will be put on notice and encouraged to boycott Nintendo. They want a war, they got it. Dreams is about creativity and togetherness, they picked the wrong game and our community is passionate!

@get2sammyb Dreams is the most innovate and perhaps the most important game this generation. Mm has achieved something special and i hope ppl support it considering it's only $39.99.
Every PS4 owner should have a digital copy on their system. This is more than a game, it's a living, breathing, movement that should evolve over time. The social infrastructure is brilliant , the creative possibilities are limitless. Whether a creator or a player u want to get on this ride now so u can say u were there from the begging.
Days Gone has 4 million players and it's expected to eventually hit 5 million units sold (lifetime). This is without artificially ehanced numbers via Game Pass and with generally bull**** reviews from critics who played on a pre-day one patch and never were able to factor the new modes.
Critics rated Days Gone in the low 70's, but gamers generally loved it. There was a huge disconnect between the two parties. Even user reviews on Metacritic are significantly higher than the critic score. The user average is a full point higher and has sat in the 80's since launch.
Days Gone was also the number one game for i believe 3 or 4 straight weeks. The platinum percentage is over 5% and it's not a cakewalk. Days Gone is a game that ppl just loved playing. There are millions of Days Gone fans out there, not a few.
Who tf actually wants Kojima to be "leashed" and controlled? Are gamers really so boring? The entire point of going to Sony was to see Kojima no limits. It's why we are excited.
The trailers actually helped to understand some of the confusing elements such as still-mothers having a connection to the other side thus using Bridge Babies as conduits.
Dreams, Death Stranding, Concrete Genie, Shen Mue 3. Pretty creative AAA PS4 exclusives all coming within the next year. None are cookie-cutter in the slightest.
@malbhet i find it funny that Insomniac tested the waters with Microsoft and not only came right back to Sony but actually signed with them. Must not have enjoyed their time with Phil and Co.
With all that US military money being thrown around i wonder if Microsoft tried to acquire Insomniac? Or perhaps they prefer buying small studios in financial turmoil so they can nickel n dime them? Compulsion, Ninja Theory, inXile ect.
Keep it. No need for mediocre sloppy seconds when Insomniac has far bigger fish in Spider-man, R&C, Resistance, and potential VR games. I'll take a new IP over Sunset port begging.
The weight and depth of Ellie's relationship juxtaposed with the brutal combat was spectacular. Visuals and animations are the best i have ever seen.
2. Ghost of Tsushima
Stunning visuals and epic art direction. The combat was extremely innovative featuring high and low blocking and precise strikes. Unbelievable looking game.
3. Spiderman
This game will be a contender for GotY. Everything is perfect. Visuals and combat are A1.
You are uninformed. Here are some major PSVR games coming this year.
Farpoint - AAA fps from former Mass Effect devs. Dirt Rally - Dirt Rally in VR. Ace Combat 7 - AAA dog fighter, think Top Gun. Gran Turismo Sport - AAA driving sim. Golem - first person adventure game where u fight huge golems Starblood Arena - if Eve Valkyrie and Overwatch had a baby. Megaton Rainfall - first person superhero sim. Get Even - AAA fps Psychonauts Rhombus of Ruin - takes place after the first game. Fated - Viking adventure game focusing on narrative. Syren - horror game. Modern Zombie - driving game from Sony Santa Monica. Arizona Sunshine - fps featuring zombies. Tekken 7 - rumored. Warthunder - rumored. Ark Park - running a dinosaur park in the game Ark.
U have NO clue what u are talking about. About 1 million PSVR have been sold and ppl haven't been ravenously returning then bc of sickness. You'd have to be an utter moron to not be able to hook up a PSVR, this isn't the HTC Vive, it's a couple HDMIs and a usb... presto!
Support has actually been great in terms of software. RE7 is literally a killer app on PSVR, it's the premier way to play it. Games like Rigs, Eve Valkyrie, Rez Infinite, Arkham VR, Until Dawn, Bound, Tethered, I Expect You To Die, Eagle Flight, Battlezone, Trackmania Turbo, Robinson, Job Sim, Werewolves Within, Lethal VR, How We Soar, SHC, Headmaster, Keep Talking Nobody Explodes, and Playroom VR are quality software. I personally LOVE Driveclub VR as well.
The reason why Sony cut advertising is bc of manufacturing problems. Believe it or not, but launching 3 new products that all require significant manufacturing is probably not as easy as you think.
PSVR is virtually unavailable in US stores... still. But boy am i glad i got a day 1 unit bc i feel bad for ppl who are missing out on Resident Evil on PSVR.
Stories: The Path of Destinies and R&C both PS4 exclusives (Stories is console exclusive), both gorgeous, both launching April 12th (NA). For less than DS3 i got both R&C and Stories.
It's good to be a PS4 owner. Now, if i can just pry myself from Salt n Sanctuary and Gungeon.
@sub12 Their next game is an indie like 2D title "Song of the Deep". It's multiplatform.
I think Insomniac was soured by the flop (commercially) that was Sunset Overdrive. I wouldn't expect anymore console exclusives unless it's Ratchet. Sony owns Resistance.
Sounds like a 10/10. I heard no real negatives at all, and 12hrs for a single playthrough at a budget price is spectacular. Oh, and it's the best looking game this yr, so far.
You summed it up perfectly - sand, driving, sanbox. It must be terrible bc it has those 3 elements, u better not play the new MGSV either...it has all three! Borderlands and Rage also.
U guys are too much, Mad Max is a 73 on Metacritic atm meaning it gas virtually the same rating as Dying Light. Dying Light has sold 5m copies and is considered to be "pretty good" or "a fun sandbox romp" and that's exactly what Mad Max is.
When a non-openworld AAA game releases, ppl will say it's too linear.
I love the idea that every decision changes the story, like Until Dawn. The art direction is lovely, the exuberant colors and the rabbit remind me of Alice in Wonderland.
Galak-Z certainly has a story, it's delivered in episodes. It's made to be like a playable 80's anime or Saturday morning cartoon. It's not Rogue Legacy in terms of narrative, Galak-Z actually DOES have a real story.
Rapture is looking phenomenal and at $15.99 plus a free dynamic theme u can't go wrong.

Rapture is $15.99 if you preorder and you have ps+.
