Re: Boss-Slaying Survival Game Praey for the Gods Quietly Launches on PS5, PS4

@zawa113 This is actually a decent short review, thanks!

I feel so drawn to this game. Absolutely loved SoTC back then, but couldn't agree more that it's clearly very outdated now. The idea however, of a tribute game with similar (well scripted imo) bossfight mechanics AND with a rich open world that has plenty to offer (just like we've gotten used to these days) on top of that sounds simply genius to me..

Would like to read a proper review of this title, Push Square, but thanks for bringing this game to our attention anyway (really had no clue of its existence).

@WallyWest We keep misunderstanding each other. Of course, I don't mean they should promise patches for versions that don't exist yet, I wish they would've said that releasing next gen console versions is being worked on too, apart from patches for current gen.. Because seeing how much work is to be done still, I'm losing faith in seeing a proper PS5 version any time soon.

@WallyWest I know that, I'm talking about the fact that they're only mentioning patches and fixes for the current gen versions (and PC), no promise of the next gen console versions which would obviously be a far better solution for next gen console owners.

Hugely afraid it will take forever before they can even start working on PS5/Xbox X, understandably I must say.

No mention of releasing PS5/Xbox X versions scares the heck out of me, it's very off-putting and made me ask for a refund at my local game store. Seeing how much time and work they will still have to put into fixing this wonder I would not count on PS5 release before the end of next year.. Such a shame, all this new hardware and no chance to play this game decently.

Re: PS5 Brute Force Fixes Cyberpunk 2077's PS4 Technical Problems

@mrmartinrohr This exactly!! I agree with every word you just wrote.

How can people here say that this game runs fine on PS5? Are we playing a different game? How can 60 fps save the fact that I'm standing in the middle of a large market in Watson and there are 3 NPCs around me and maybe 2 cars. Now god forbid I should call my car as it will show up flying in with no doors and soon as I'll enter it the NPC count will go down to zero.. And don't even get me started on driving around completely deserted Night City with distant textures popping in and neon adds completely incomprehensibly blurry.

I don't know about some people's standards but this is absolutely unacceptable and unplayable to me. Sure hope they release a proper PS5 version asap.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 PS5, PS4 Preload Begins, 102GB Total File Size

@thedevilsjester Yeah, you seem to be a disciplined & rational person, I know a lot of kids who start (and never finish) many games and those are likely to run out of space.

I always had an external 2TB connected to my PS4 but tbh with you, the more I think about it now, I was probably just spoiled and could have just as well lived and played without it..

Great closure though, you're right that we shouldn't ignore or assume that our point of view is the only legitimate one in any discussion.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 PS5, PS4 Preload Begins, 102GB Total File Size

@thedevilsjester I'm certainly talking about AAA games with huge budgets like RDR2, LoU2 or CP2077. It wouldn't make sense if those had to worry about a bit of data here or there, for a number of reasons. It really doesn't matter if the total size of such a game is 99gb or 110gb, plus hyped up players are very much willing to overlook flaws in general. Small games that just happen to (over)deliver with artistic value, storytelling, innovative gameplay/mechanics, etc. usually needn't worry about space to begin with.

Anyway, I note down your point about the storage case theoretically being picked by anyone. Pretty sure that someone would be a multiplatform gamer who would say that low storage space on the new gen consoles is not an issue. For exclusively PS players I think it matters a lot, as they spend all their time on one platform potentially playing multiple titles at the same time.

Re: Poll: Are You Buying Cyberpunk 2077?

skxnkwxlkr

This one is a true dilemma to me... I pre-ordered and consider playing right away on PS5 via compatibility but... I'm really majorly afraid that it will suck (compared to native PS5 version with ray tracing and obviously all the bugs fixed).

If only they would announce the PS5 release, cause if it's out in February I'm fine to wait.. but if it's May or later, never mind I will play the PS4 version on PS5 now.

Re: PS5 Firmware Update 20.02-02.30.00 Available to Download Now

skxnkwxlkr

@Voltan OMG, I got both AC Valhalla and Miles Morales on PS4 discs and now every single day I start to play them on the PS5 I have to manually stop the PS4 versions from copying..

Other than that no real problems.. well, maybe just the fan is sometimes way louder than expected for a short period of time. Not sure if that could be patched though, probably a factory issue.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 PS5, PS4 Preload Begins, 102GB Total File Size

skxnkwxlkr

@thedevilsjester IDK, you argue an interesting point that developers should do their best to keep the sizes of games to the minimum, obviously having to download and keep 100+gb can be downright off-putting to many (and not everyone has the PR hype strength to survive potential backslash like you know who atm). But I still feel like I should be able to get extra SSD storage if I wanted, even though I'm a gamer like you that mostly plays campaigns, finishes the story and deletes after, I like having a big storage and simply not having to worry.

Plus couldn't it have a negative impact on the quality of the content if studios have to think of keeping the size down? (Seriously wonder)
