@DonJorginho it was never a next gen game. This has been in development for ps4 and xboxone before ps5 and series x were even announced. The problem here is that the game was to ambitious from the start. As you said the tech it was made for is old and isn't fully up to what they want it to do.

I still play mine a lot. Ps3 had a serious amount of great games and most don't feature microtransactions.

Really looking forward to Hitman

@God_of_Nowt I have the download version of John wick hex it's been out a while on ps4 and its really good. Frustrating at times but a really good game

@nessisonett when you use a calculator do you agree to the terms and conditions? Retroarch isn't illegal and I have not said it is at any point but playing Sony licensed games on an xbox is a violation of the terms and conditions maybe you should read them. And if was perfectly fine and to do this why does it invalidate the warranty on your xbox. Xbox and playstation have license agreements and specific terms around software use on their consoles. The emulator may not be illegal but as soon as you run sony games on it on an xbox one it violates the terms. Anyway have a nice day

@nessisonett while you are correct you can not play a ps2 game legally on an xbox it's a violation of the terms and conditions and also the licensing agreements that Microsoft hold. If you legally acquired the emulator and roms and ran it through a Sony console or pc then you will be most likely be ok but playing Sony games on a Microsoft console without consent is illegal.

My 15 year old pc can't run fortnite or Minecraft but the ps2 emulator runs fine so this is really a huge achievement. I would expect a brand new next gen system to be more powerful than a 15 to 20 year old pc. Also ps5 wasn't designed to play ps2 games through emulation so this is a non story, and it's also illegal 😂😂😂

@sanderson72 I have a ps4 pro and use an external 4tb hdd because it was cheap, is an ssd worth the price for the ps4 pro? I am tempted but if there is no benefit I will stick with my normal hdd

I tried to get a ps5 and got involved in the launch day madness but came away empty handed 😢 on the plus side I decided to buy a Nintendo switch lite in the black Friday sale to ease my broken heart 😂😂

The more I see of this game the more I feel they have missed a trick making it first person only. It also looks like it has more cutscenes than the mgs series and I don't know if I have time for that 😂

This needs an update, none available at game or anywhere in the UK at the moment. Some shops like smyths are saying December they expect to have more

And it still has Adam West in it which is a bonus

I bought it and played it last night for around 4 hours. As a huge fan of the original I was excited for this and tbh I wasn't that disappointed. The graphic style is almost the same they haven't ditched the cel shading they have just modernised it and it looks good imo. I have noticed a couple of glitches but nothing major that I haven't seen in nearly every other game on day 1. The changes made to the controls and keeping the original audio and dialogue make this a good buy if you loved the original game but if you didn't play the original game you might want to avoid this one.

Are there plans to release more before Xmas? Can I plug in my USB hdd from my ps4 and will the games work or do I have to reinstall everything? Will my hdd even work with ps5?

Not a surprise really. The first game was just ok and I didn't like the characters in the 2nd. I am not even going to bother wasting my time and money with this one

As per usual I will add these to my ever growing backlog of games. I am currently playing mafia definitive edition on ps4 and playing I ninja on ps2 so I am busy for now. I also haven't finished Ghost of Tshushima yet so no time for these 2.

Just the other day I paid £55 for metal gear twin snakes for the gamecube, pre owned so I guess I will pay what I need to for games I want. I have a huge backlog of games on multiple systems so I only buy things I really want day 1

It's a shame but it makes sense. Why go to the trouble of implementing an emulator or actual hardware for a feature most won't use. Most people who still play retro games, like myself, usually still have old systems or use other means so there is no real need for it.

Good idea maybe then I can get some of the plus games I missed and didn't want to buy and its great if you are new to Ps plus

Yes got mine on launch with tekken and Ridge Racer. I was 16 at the time. I remember working overtime at burger King so I could earn enough to buy tomb Raider and destruction Derby 2 and then got sacked for not turning up for a week. Good Times

I have been on this non stop since midnight Thursday, what a game. You can also unlock Jack Black as a playable character can't for them to add levels from thps 3 and 4 as well.

I'm not bothered to be honest I am a huge retro gamer so I still have all my PlayStations from 1996 up to my ps4 pro so I can already play my discs.
At least Sony will now know there is a market for the older systems and games and maybe more will show up on psn or psnow

Sadly I disagree with most of this article. You have stretched the term to its absolute limit to make it cover almost every game.
I do see your point though but i am not the type to play the same game for years so these games generally don't appeal to me but other people clearly like them.

@RBMango they have said there will definitely not be any microtransactions every thing unlocks through gameplay. Push square just posted an article about it

While the game looks ok I don't have time for these massive online never ending games. I have a huge backlog of games to play and this just doesn't look good enough to bump up my list considering I haven't finished Ghost of Tshushima yet or horizon zero Dawn to name just 2. Maybe one day I will get around to this or if my kids want it then I will give it a try.

@Akurusu to be honest I could do with an easy mode I die constantly but for me it would ruin the game. The challenge is part of the fun in my opinion.

I imagine this update is partly because of the success of Ghost of Tshushima and maybe they hope people will buy Sekiro. I also hope more people play Sekiro it's a fantastic game.

I haven't played it myself for a long time I could never join shoot outs I just got a black loading screen but my oldest son loves it and plays it most days and I know he has been waiting for this update.

He works mainly with pc so he will always say Microsoft. He also said he doesn't have an interest in this particular race which indicates he doesn't care and doesn't know much about either so he just picked xbox. It's very obvious from his actual words.

I haven't played the last of us 2 yet. I havent finished most of the games I have bought in the last 5 years but my next 2 games will be last of us 2 and nioh 2 once I finish ghost of tsushima.

I have a had the same psn account since the first week the service was live on ps3. I have over 1000 downloads on my download list for ps3, ps4 and vita. 2 of my sons have their own psn accounts with pp and yet none of us got any credit so it must be completely random

10 out of 15, pressed Tony hawks 3 instead of 4 and dark cloud 2 instead of dark cloud but the rest I didn't know

I used to pay for xbox live on 360 when psn was free on ps3 so no it wouldn't stop me getting a ps5

3 hours in and I really like it so far, playing on normal difficulty and the combat is very nice. My only small concern is sometimes the camera angle during combat can be annoying otherwise its a great game

No matter how great this game turns out to be I am starting to think it is actually now impossible for it to live up to the hype that's built up over the years.
I am sure it's an amazing game but the hype for it has become ludicrous

Didn't they release ultimate spiderman that was an endless runner game and years before that they had the amazing spiderman 1&2 so I imagine it's something to do with those games or the trailers for those games.
