You're absolutely right about the comments not being deleted; I genuinely wondered if they would be or not. The reason I'm commenting and actually discussing/justifying my original comment is because I thought it to be an ill-judged hint about blocking users that could have been phrased differently in a way for the site to garner more support and keep running the way it does, supporting the journalists and the readers. I like to think that the community here, which I enjoy being a part of, would be open to reason and supporting the site either through the subscriptions or ads. Thanks for the chat 👌.

@kyleforrester87 Then point out why sites like PushSquare, made up of real, genuine people who are passionate about what they do wouldn't exist without their support in some form or another. Appeal to their better nature. I won't subscribe to a site for this sort of news, but will happily scroll through, comment, bring traffic and ad revenue in.

And I totally think that asking readers to view ads or pay a subscription to remove them is fair enough, definitely. I don't use an ad blocker on my browser anyway as I know that otherwise the sites I choose to visit wouldn't be supported.

But I think that to hint that those who do choose to use an ad blocker could be easily blocked in the comments of the same article launching the new subscription changes the tone of said article a lot.

Does anyone know if the base game gets more challenging combat? I'm a bit over-levelled, but in the middle of the Lunden arc. Everything gets quite literally stomped on after one parry, and it's taking a lot of the fun out of it when I'm not taking much damage even if I get hit plenty.

EDIT: Playing through PS Plus, so I have none of the paid DLC.

Just checked PSN, and it says the release date in the UK is 27/9/22, not today, sadly. Interested in this one.

If anyone's planning to check out other reviews and not have the story ruined, avoid Kotaku's review. They have a spoiler heading but I was just scrolling through on my phone for a few bits (ironically to avoid spoilers) and read something they are MAD to put in a review before the game is technically even out.

Still looking forward to getting the game tomorrow though!

Is the hunt to give Sony £450 but not being able to because of bots, scarcity, and scalpers getting anyone else down? I'm becoming genuinely despondent after being in two queues today only to be told they had sold out.

Pretty sure the criticism is more levelled at the copy and paste approach to sexually abusing and exploiting it's employees for years on end.

@TrueAssassin86x Thanks! I've just checked the store- I think it's still a bit of a mess for me. I can't download the upgrade pack as it says I don't own Mafia 3, but I can download each bit separately apart from "Faster Baby" which it still says is £11.99...

So I've just picked up Mafia 2 Remastered- and my PS Plus copy of Mafia 3 will be upgraded to the deluxe edition for free? Is this verified, I couldn't find any info on this.

I still can't see it on the UK store! There's a tile for the Mafia trilogy, but when I select it everything underneath is blank.

@ShogunRok I think this is the most community-oriented site I use! I really enjoy how active the moderators and contributors are in the comments too.

I'm glad PushSquare put this out. It's nice to see a site actually putting out plans and acknowledging timeframes for bigger releases.
The transparency is great, and gives the site a much more community feel.

I swear the first game taught me more about Samuel Pepy's diary than primary school did!

My mum and I used to play this when I was little. Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Dino Crisis, Fear Effect, Shadowman, and Nightmare Creatures were the games I grew up on!

(My mum was, and still is, cooler than me :/).

Hitting up some Dark Souls 3! Trying to platinum it and get a character ready for The Ringed City, which I still haven't got, in time for Destiny 2 to drop...

That's a shame. Platinumed Tekken within about a week, only have it for local multi now. Maybe a few rounds every three weeks.

I preferred Tekken Ball to the bowling. Damn, Tekken 3 was the business.

@NorrinRadd that's one of the main reasons I'm getting it at launch. I've always wanted to follow an online AAA Rpg from the start and experience how it changes over time! Joined the Push Square clan for new people to play with too.

Getting Destiny 2 and the expansion pass bundled with a brand new Pro. You could say I'm excited.

It was damn fun on PS3, but I don't know if it will be worth re-buying. Maybe a budget title to look forwards to 6 months down the line?

I'd be dead happy with Second Son. Not played it, and I like the idea of single-player games (like Just Cause 3, too) coming to the fore so I always have something to turn to if I'm indecisive .

I've requested to join the clan! Created an account here specifically to do it; followed PushSquare for a long time, but having some people to play Destiny 2 with is gonna be AWESOME! Roll on next Wednesday!
