That #8 Wo long must be 99.9% playstation version since it is available on GP day one.

Nice PSVR2 coverage. But how about reviews (or mini reviews) of GT7 & RE Village? These are the main launch games.

@zebric21 why the all rage? Competition is a healthy thing. It will motivate Sony to be aggressive and creative.

What do you mean by BF numbers? Do you mean the fact that Series S was the best selling console? The only reason this happened is because PS5 is no where to be found.

eFootball 2022 is a nightmare. Disaster. I cant even believe how awful the animations, mechanics, graphics are. This is way a step backward. I am a big PES fan since the days of Winning Eleven on PS1. Honestly, I deleted this atrocious edition and preordered FIFA 22.

@GingerSilent Hiedeki Kamiya was the director of Resident Evil 2. He was the screen writer of the original RE. So he was involved in Horror adventure games. It is just my wild guess trying to figure out what “prominent” Japanese studio could develop SH according to the VGC rumor.

@GingerSilent whats the famous horror IP Bloober’s CEO talking about other than Silent Hill?! Konami has only one horror IP game. Lets hope the “prominent” Japanese developer worths the wait. (Platinum? KP? Tango?)

Now the real question. Is Kojima Productions considered a prominent Japanese developer? I mean the studio released a single game only “DS” and before that it was a subsidiary of Konami.

I am extremely disappointed about the bloober thing. Lets be honest their metacritic average is around 60-70.

Sony in NO way is pressuring any developer to show ANYTHING if a supposedly PS5 exclusive is not ready or early in development!

Yesterday I completed Returnal.

This game is awesome, intense, exhilarating. Sadly no one is buying it. Housemarque is now one of my fav developers.

@blinx01 one SH game being developed in Japan (presumably by KP and is PS5 exclusive) and the second one is developed by a western studio (Bloober, developer of the Medium, a multiplatform game). This is my wild guess..

@The_Pixel_King Returnal flopped badly because the game is by NO means a mainstream one. The game is exhilarating difficult. Extremely punishing. Many of my friends who own PS5 are reluctant to buy it because of its design not because of the price. Even Housemarque knows that their game is risky & targets a special group of people who are into rogue like games.

Who care about timed exclusives? Sony should invest more in 1st & 2nd party game studios and create fresh IPs.

Why is this even a news?!

Starfield is developed by Bethesda.

Bethesda is fully owned by Microsoft.

Starfield is exclusive to Xbox.

It is like getting shocked that Ghost of Tsushima sequel is a PS5 exclusive.

Folks lets turn over a new leaf.

@AhmadSumadi expanding into mobile games?? In what way does that positively affect PS5? Meanwhile MS is acquiring publishers / sealing deals with independent studios (possibly Kojima)

Instead of investing in studios/contracts with independent studios to create games on PS5. Sony is throwing money to create Mobile games. Jim Ryan Out !!

Japan Studio got shattered, Days Gone sequel fell apart, and Kojima production’s next game is Xbox exclusive !

@Olmaz the PS4 game (Rescue Mission) was PSVR only .. that’s a shame cause I really loved Astro’s Playroom on PS5.

I would love to see the next Astro game on PS5. Not a PSVR2 exclusive just like Astro Rescue mission.

As far as I am concerned, Sony used air freight in delivering PS5s at launch. So I don’t see any major concern regarding the issue raised in this article.

@Octane ofcourse they will say “ HELL YEAH” if Microsoft offers is an eye watering! Sony needs to strengthen its first party studios. Last studio they bought was like 2 years ago (Insomniac). It is an investment after all if they actually own them.

@Octane because Microsoft is on fire now. They might approach the talented people at BP and snap them up. Hell they bought an entire publisher and according to their CEO they aren’t done yet.

Sony should secure them as first party studio ASAP.

Sony is downsizing its first party studios. At the same time Microsoft is acquiring more and more studios. Jim Ryan Mattrick.

Apart from Timed Exclusives, Sony also has an excellent relationship with second party studios that develop some exclusive games for playstation. Studios in the likes of Bluepoint, Supermassive games, Housemarque, Kojima Productions, Ember Lab, among others. I am pretty sure whichever earn Sonys Trust will end up soon as first party studio.

Why am I not surprised? I have known this since the first announcement. It is like saying “I wanna play Horizon Forbidden West on Xbox Series, finger crossed”

People get over this. If you love Bethesda games so much, then just get PC or Xbox.

@munstre why would I care? last great game from Japan Studio was Bloodborne (co-developed with FS). Afterwards, all games are mediocre . An exception goes to, Astro Playroom which isn't a full game. I honestly don’t blame Jim for this. Astro is a beautiful demo. I think they will pull off a great platformer in the future.

At this rate. Next thing (I highly expect) Sony shuts down Japan Studio. So much for “Japan is important to us”.
