Re: Nioh, Jump Force, Streets of Rage 4 All Join PS Now

There are deals to be had for PS Now too, so it is not like you can only get Gamepass on the cheap. My current sub cost 30 quid for the year.

In terms of this months games, pretty tidy selection. Nioh most people rave about and I've been wanting to give SoR4 a go for ages now. Never heard of that Jump Force game before but may give it a go at some point.

Re: Sony Set to Invest Even More Money in PlayStation Exclusive Games This Year

@RubyCarbuncle Maybe it is when you said it was a 'stupid fanboy comment'? Not exactly very friendly, is it? It's not a dig, MS has deeper pockets than Sony, hence why I said they can't compete with the studio acquisitions. Besides I'm not sure I would want Sony to follow suit, I'd be more happy with a couple of smaller developers that they have worked closely with before.

Re: Poll: Will You Be Buying Returnal?

JohnnyShoulder

Yes, but not necessarily waiting for a sale just for when I'm ready to play it. It does look all kinds of awesome though, but I've never clicked with Housemarque's previous games. This does look like their Horizon Zero Dawn however.

Re: Returnal Runs at 60 FPS in Dynamic 4K with Raytraced Lighting on PS5

@djdizzy Sorry man, I meant to say i don't see what tech there is for a PS5 Pro to be needed. I've edited my post. Doh! Yeah, I love my PS5, such a massive improvement on my OG PS4. Demon's Souls was such a joy to play with how gorgeous it looked, how buttery smooth it felt with the 60fps and the super quick load times. The controller overall is ace too, feels really comfortable to use.

Re: A 'No Brainer' to Take Advantage of PS5's Power, Wreckfest Dev Teases

I kinda bounced off this when I played it earlier in the year when it first came on PS NOW. I had grown a bit tired of all the open world racers I've played and thought I needed a straight racer, but when I played Wreckfest I just found it a bit boring. I will definitely go back to it eventually and hope I just wasn't in the right frame of mind or something.

Re: Hardware Review: PS5 Pulse 3D Wireless Headset - A Sturdy All-Rounder with Above Average Audio

JohnnyShoulder

I have the platinum headset and although I have no real complaints (apart from them feeling a bit tight and heavy after extended sessions), I've never really noticed any difference between those and my non-3d audio/surround sound headphones. So either I've not used them with any games that support 3d audio, or it is just something I don't notice that well. 🤷‍♂️

Re: Deal: PS Plus Subscriptions Just $26.99 for a Full Year

@rjejr Some people don't have or want (like myself) a credit card so PayPal is a good modern day alternative. Mainly because I don't trust sites with my banking details as I had about five hundred quid fraudulently taken from my account a few years ago, so am extra careful since. The company I work with we have to deal with people on a daily basis that have their credit card used fraudulently, so forgive for not trusting the system. I didn't really come on here to try and sell it anyone or get into the politics of why someone shouldn't or should use the service, and I don't get what your issue is with.

Re: Destruction AllStars Commits a Cardinal Sin with Voice Chat

My mic is muted by default when the console is turned on, so didn't notice anything in regards to the voice chat.

The games is fun and looks good but is super shallow. The few online matches I played, I got booted to the main screen so I just stuck to arcade mode. Can't see myself sinking loads of time into it but will most likely jump in when I fancy switching my brain off for a couple of hours.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Hitman 3 Physical Sales Exceed Hitman 2, 49% of Sales on PS5

@JJ2 @nessisonett Yep I would probably class Demon's Souls on PS5 as the easiest game in the series that I've played. I think that is due to a few factors such as my experience of playing all the other games, and having updated movement for your character but the enemies remain largely unchanged. Most of the bosses were well easy, but not your typical combat style affairs and more akin to puzzles that you have to work out. The difficulty comes in some of the runs to the bosses, which some are absolutely brutal. But most can be made a bit more manageable by equipping certain items, like the Thief Ring so enemies don't notice you as much.
