Good riddance. I've long said that the media in the video games industry have become over reliant on leaks and stuff to report as news. Unfortunately things are too far gone and I don't think it will get any better anytime soon.
The last couple of these have either not worked or came up with completely borked results. Hopefully I get better luck this time. But Elden Ring will be my most played game at over 400 hours.
Only played 3 games from this year it turns out (well technically there is a fourth, but not enough time to warrant giving a verdict), so guess I won't be taking part this year. Shame.
I got a purple controller for £45 from GAME. I was able to collect it from my local store in my lunch hour, which I prefer. About the only place that had that colour in stock at a decent price too.
With Greedfall leaving Extra, I just checked and I can't upgrade to the PS5 version from when I claimed it through the old PS Plus/NOW. I wouldn't mind, but I traded in the physical copy when it came onto Extra. And I've tried on the app, I can only download the PS4 version or purchase the standard edition for 30 quid.
Can't say I've had much experience of what this article is referring to, but I prefer when games don't hand hold you through every situation. An option to disable is obviously better that not putting in the game, as not everyone will be the same.
I think I played all the NFS games last gen and really enjoyed them all. Don't think I ve finished any as I always seem to suck at drifting racing/challenges lol. So yeah will probably eventually pick this up.
Slightly off topic, but has anyone played Graveyard Keeper? It's is part of PS Extra and seems kinda similar to this? Feels like it would be good when I fancy a change of pace from what I normally play.
Always thought video games were more suited to a TV series than films, and they seem to be faring much better. if anyone has not seen the excellent Castlevania show on Netflix, I can highly recommend it.
eFootball 23. Awful name, but actually plays a good game of footy. I didn't play it during its first year, but from the outside looking in it seemed pretty disastrous. I've not seen any glitches so far. Not brave enough to play online at the mo, as I'm still building my team.
Curse of the Dead Gods. I tend to bounce of rouge-likes quite quickly, but seem to be sticking with this one after a couple of hours. We shall see how it goes.
Sigh. Unfortunately has almost become normal to report on leaks and rumours as news stories. It definitely has become more prevalent since the lockdowns started. I try to ignore most of them as something likemthis always happens. Would have thought the whole Abandoned thing would have taught people a lesson, apparently not.
Most of the games this month I have either played, already have as part of PS +, or just have no interest in. But can't deny in the overall perceived quality of the games on offer.
Guardians of the Galaxy. On Chapter 6 and am enjoying it so far. The writing and acting for the main characters is pretty good, I think. Some genuine laugh out loud moments, the 'Lipless' scene at the bar in Knowhere i found especially funny!
Everyone one should give Little Nightmares a chance, such a wicked little game. And I've not played the other two games, so that is a win for me. Good that we get Tony Hawks before Activision gets swallowed up by MS. I do wonder if these things will still happen once the deal goes through.
I've played this as my my mum was born in India and lived there till she was 11, so she watched me play it and recognised some of the stories and stuff.
It is nothing groundbreaking or anything, but I found it quite enjoyable. I only stopped playing as I got stuck late on and could not figure how to track back to where I needed to be. But not sure if that was me missing something.

Re: Stranded Video Game Heroes Battle Over a Game Engine in PSVR2 FPS X8
So not a new strand-type game like I thought when I first saw the title then?
Re: Poll: Are You Playing The Witcher 3's PS5 Upgrade?
I might fire it up to finally give the expansion passes a go, a I think I have them already, or at least the first one.
Re: Out Today: The Witcher 3's Free PS5 Upgrade Is Available Now
Is there a day one patch for all the bugs and glitches I've seen reported?! 😂
Re: Check Your Gaming Stats with PlayStation Wrap-Up 2022, Available Now
Well it worked for this time. 1,021 hours in total played with 47% of that on Elden Ring.

Re: Marvel's Midnight Suns (PS5) - Heroic Social Strategy Experiment Is Almost Super
Will get to this eventually, as I'm more of a gameplay guy than a story/dialogue dude, so the negatives I'm more than willing to tolerate.
Re: The Game Awards Will Be a Shorter Show, But Not by Much
That's what sheeeee said, to the sub title.
Re: Elden Ring, Genshin Impact Take Top Honours at PlayStation Partner Awards
For some reason when I saw the word 'schmoozes' it made me laugh out loud. 😂
Re: The Game Awards Will Be 'Significantly Shorter' This Year
So more adverts and less games then?
Re: Future DC Games Will Connect to the DCEU, Confirms James Gunn
That is a huge turn off for me, and one of the reasons I'm not so keen on all the Marvel (and to a lesser extent) Star Wars stuff recently.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for November 2022?
Only couple of titles that interest me this month that I've not played, but can't complain as I think overall Extra has been really good so far.

I can only imagine how this runs on the stinky switch lol.
Well this has exceeded most people's expectations. It has moved from my totally ignore list to my maybe in a sale list.
Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Lose Five PS4 Games on 15th November
I've had Mafia 3 in my library since it was with PS Plus years ago. Most likely one of the dozens of games I'll never get round to playing.
Re: Silent Hill 2 PS5 Remake Announced as a Console Exclusive
So no sign of that Abandoned 'game' then?

Continuing my playthrough of Wasteland 3 with a sprinkling of eFootball 23 thrown in now and again.
Re: Rumour: Lower Your Expectations for Tonight's State of Play

Re: Future Cyberpunk 2077 Update Overhauls Police System, Vehicle Combat, Melee Gameplay
Still have the disk and have planned to go back to it at some point to see what the PS5 version is like, but will wait until this update drops.

Re: Mini Review: Inscryption (PS5) - The Most Unique Game You Will Play All Year
I've heard nothing but good things about this, but I'm also avoiding all content about it as I wanna play it knowing the least about it as possible.
Re: PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium PS5, PS4 Games for September 2022 All Announced
Another good month for Extra. Glad I just extended my sub by 3 months.
