Re: Soapbox: 2021 Is the Year to Tackle Your Backlog, Because So Many Games Are Going to Be Delayed

JohnnyShoulder

I have quite a substantial backlog on PS4 which I can play on my PS5, so I had always planned on working through that during quieter periods. Which I generally do anyway. Even if I do somehow manage to clear my backlog (unlikely), there are loads of games which I've missed out on. . With the amount of games released, I don't understand when people complain they have nothing to play. Sure new releases might dry up, but an older game is still a new experience if you've not played it. Sometimes it means stepping outside of your comfort zone to try something you wouldn't normally.

Re: How to Make Cyberpunk 2077 Look Better on PS5, PS4

Yep turned off film grain, Chromatic Aberration and motion blur. Kept HDR on as personally thought it looked worse with it off. I did have to mess around with both the in game HDR and my TV picture settings to get right for me. Control had similar issues with these settings too I seem to remember.

Re: Feature: Our PS5 Predictions for The Game Awards 2020

I would prefer a sequel to Bloodborne or a new game rather than a remaster at this point. Makes less sense anyway, seeing as it is part of the PS Plus collection. I'm fine with it releasing on PC, but would not buy it if it is new PS5 version.

My safe bet is Ratchet and Clank release date trailer, my hopeful bet is the rumoured Bluepoint remake of Metal Gear Solid.

Re: Feature: Best PS5, PS4 Music of November 2020

@nessisonett The music is fine for Demon's Souls Remake, and it is hardly like you describe it. And if you never played the original, it is a moot point what that sounded like. Besides I know plenty of people that played the original and are OK with it, and vice versa. Hopefully you like it a bit more once you have played the game.

Re: Talking Point: What Were Your Most Played PS4 Games?

JohnnyShoulder

I copied this from the forum, so apologies if you've already read this. I went through my list of games, and here are my top played. The games marked with a * are ones I played most of the dlc for. Which makes the top game even more surprising.

I note some games didn't even appear on the list such as no PES titles? Some games also appeared on there multiple times like FFVIIR. And a couple like DOOM and Resi Evil 7 only shows up as 1 hour played. The former I got pretty damn far and the latter I completed and played most of the dlc.

The Witcher 3 - 403 hours
Bloodborne* - 324 hours
Fifa 15 - 318 hours
Far Cry 4 - 233 hours
Dragon Age Inquisition - 257 hours
Fallout 4* - 214 hours
Dark Souls 3* - 196 hours
Dark Souls 2* - 170 hours
Battlefield 4 - 167 hours
Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor - 166 hours
Assassin's Creed Origins - 151 hours
Sekiro - 145 hours
Ghost of Tsushima - 136 hours
The Division - 122 hours
Xcom 2 - 114 hours
Dark Souls Remastered* - 110 hours
Dying Light - 101 hours
Horizon Zero Dawn - 100 hours

Re: PS5 Lets You Actually Keep Up with Gaming Podcasts

JohnnyShoulder

@Kidfried Beyond is still going dude. I watch those two along with Sacred Symbols and Play Watch Listen. I never listen to podcasts when gaming though, and only listen to music when playing sports and racing games as the licensed music usually does my head in eventually.

I started off a few months behind on all the podcasts I watch/listen too, but since I've been working from home I've pretty much caught up now.

Re: Some PS5 Owners Are Experiencing Rebuild Database, External HDD Woes

@God_of_Nowt Personally I'm not too worried, as there nothing I've seen really that in theory could not be fixed with a update patch. Like I've not heard of anything mechanical like the disk drive not working.

And this does happen with almost every piece of new hardware to consoles, phones, laptops etc. Sure they are tested, but you can't test for every thing that might happen, otherwise they would never be released. People saying otherwise are either misinformed or trying to wind people up.

Re: PS5 Adds Wishlists to PS Store

I get emails from Nintendo when a game that I've to my wishlist on my Switch is on offer, which is a blessing and a curse at the same time. So it is neat that Sony are doing something similar
