Good, this is a step in right direction. And please please please please, do not pay the sclapers prices. Your wallet will thank you and the less people use them the quicker they will go away.
I have quite a substantial backlog on PS4 which I can play on my PS5, so I had always planned on working through that during quieter periods. Which I generally do anyway. Even if I do somehow manage to clear my backlog (unlikely), there are loads of games which I've missed out on. . With the amount of games released, I don't understand when people complain they have nothing to play. Sure new releases might dry up, but an older game is still a new experience if you've not played it. Sometimes it means stepping outside of your comfort zone to try something you wouldn't normally.
@DonJorginho Same here dude, most severe problem I've had is one soft crash (which I had a few in Demon's Souls, and in almost every game from last gen). It is one of those games I can't stop thinking about and can't wait to play it again.
Yep turned off film grain, Chromatic Aberration and motion blur. Kept HDR on as personally thought it looked worse with it off. I did have to mess around with both the in game HDR and my TV picture settings to get right for me. Control had similar issues with these settings too I seem to remember.
After being pretty dismissive of it in the past, 60fps really does make a difference. In Demon’s Souls the combat felt so good. So yeah, I will defo be playing Cyberpunk 2077 in performance mode.
@Kieren1234 I've used rest mode and left it over night to download a couple of games, and it has been fine. Also used it when playing a game a coming back to it later in the day with no issues.
I would prefer a sequel to Bloodborne or a new game rather than a remaster at this point. Makes less sense anyway, seeing as it is part of the PS Plus collection. I'm fine with it releasing on PC, but would not buy it if it is new PS5 version.
My safe bet is Ratchet and Clank release date trailer, my hopeful bet is the rumoured Bluepoint remake of Metal Gear Solid.
@nessisonett The music is fine for Demon's Souls Remake, and it is hardly like you describe it. And if you never played the original, it is a moot point what that sounded like. Besides I know plenty of people that played the original and are OK with it, and vice versa. Hopefully you like it a bit more once you have played the game.
I copied this from the forum, so apologies if you've already read this. I went through my list of games, and here are my top played. The games marked with a * are ones I played most of the dlc for. Which makes the top game even more surprising.
I note some games didn't even appear on the list such as no PES titles? Some games also appeared on there multiple times like FFVIIR. And a couple like DOOM and Resi Evil 7 only shows up as 1 hour played. The former I got pretty damn far and the latter I completed and played most of the dlc.
The Witcher 3 - 403 hours Bloodborne* - 324 hours Fifa 15 - 318 hours Far Cry 4 - 233 hours Dragon Age Inquisition - 257 hours Fallout 4* - 214 hours Dark Souls 3* - 196 hours Dark Souls 2* - 170 hours Battlefield 4 - 167 hours Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor - 166 hours Assassin's Creed Origins - 151 hours Sekiro - 145 hours Ghost of Tsushima - 136 hours The Division - 122 hours Xcom 2 - 114 hours Dark Souls Remastered* - 110 hours Dying Light - 101 hours Horizon Zero Dawn - 100 hours
@thefourfoldroot The game auto saves on a regular basis. If you quit the game and go back to it later, you will be right where you last left it. And you don't have to go back to your blood stain when you die, only if you want to pick up your souls. Which you don't need to do everytime, it depends on how many you have lost.
Mine is silent the majority of the time, apart from when I first turn it on and there is a disk in the console, and also when the game first loads up. And even then, it is really quiet, I hardly notice the sounds it makes.
@Digit2021 Probably not optimised a great deal by the developers. When there is a online multiplayer involved it can be more difficult to do than single player focused game. That is why Destiny 2 is putting content that is hardly used into a 'vault' and essentially rotating out content.
Looked fine to me, I mean there was pop in etc when they showed it running on pc. Sure certain things have been toned down from what he have seen before, but what were people expecting? I'll be there on the 10th playing on my PS5 and I'm still looking forward to it.
@Kidfried Beyond is still going dude. I watch those two along with Sacred Symbols and Play Watch Listen. I never listen to podcasts when gaming though, and only listen to music when playing sports and racing games as the licensed music usually does my head in eventually.
I started off a few months behind on all the podcasts I watch/listen too, but since I've been working from home I've pretty much caught up now.
@God_of_Nowt Personally I'm not too worried, as there nothing I've seen really that in theory could not be fixed with a update patch. Like I've not heard of anything mechanical like the disk drive not working.
And this does happen with almost every piece of new hardware to consoles, phones, laptops etc. Sure they are tested, but you can't test for every thing that might happen, otherwise they would never be released. People saying otherwise are either misinformed or trying to wind people up.
I get emails from Nintendo when a game that I've to my wishlist on my Switch is on offer, which is a blessing and a curse at the same time. So it is neat that Sony are doing something similar
@iCaramba DualSense didn't work with ps4 consoles when people tried it this week. The only way around it is with remote play with the controller plugged into a laptop.

Re: Resident Evil Village Haunts PS5, PS4 This May
Wow didn't expect it to be released that soon. Does make sense to release it on PS4 with the current situation.

Not a fan of this practice. If I do end up getting this, it will now very likely be a second hand purchase.

Re: Hype Intensifies as PlayStation Tells Us to Tune into The Game Awards
@Max2574 Yeah fingers crossed bud. Moore's Law is Dead leaked it in a podcast a couple of weeks ago. https://screenrant.com/metal-gear-solid-remake-leak-demons-souls-bluepoint-games/
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Lifepath - Which Background Should You Choose?
I've always said Nomad when they first showed off the different Lifepaths. Something about travelling from outside of the city into it appeals to me.
Re: Hype Intensifies as PlayStation Tells Us to Tune into The Game Awards
@Max2574 Bluepoint did say they were working on 2 projects. And the latest rumour was that they have been working on MGS Remake for 3 years.

Pre-ordered months ago and will be playing on my PS5.
Re: Days Gone Is Trending on Twitter Because of Cyberpunk 2077
And of course whenever you don't agree with a review it is either because they have been paid off or not playing the game properly. 🤦♂️

Ooooh, Wreckfest has been on my wishlist for an age. Will defo try out The Surge 2 as I really enjoyed the first game. A good month for me!

@Zeke68 No I died to him lol. Only made it as far as the Tower Knight who pummeled me. So have ventured onto pastures new to do some exploring .

Demon Souls. Making slow but steady progress.

@DonJorginho That is not what I've heard mate, but it could be for a different issue.
Re: Some PS5 Owners Are Experiencing Rebuild Database, External HDD Woes
@DonJorginho I assume so cos it was already available in the USA.
Re: Some PS5 Owners Are Experiencing Rebuild Database, External HDD Woes
There is a day 1 patch which apparently fixes this issue.
Re: PS5 Adds Wishlists to PS Store
@Crowley22g You won't need to search online for guides, when they showed off the UI the guides would be there on the game page of the console.

Re: PS5 Download Speeds Are Definitely Faster Than PS4
The copying of files on PS4 when downloading a game/update would do my head in. Hopefully PS5 will put an end to that.

Yes this PS5 fan has booked the week off afterwards too.
Re: Bugsnax (PS4) - An Enjoyable Treat That Packs a Unique Flavour

Re: Demon's Souls PS5 Gets Surprise State of Play, Shows 12 Minutes of New Gameplay
@Flaming_Kaiser Only one I've not played as never had a ps3. Looks stunning even without ray tracing. Will keep me busy until Cyberpunk 2077 is out.
Re: Demon's Souls PS5 Gets Surprise State of Play, Shows 12 Minutes of New Gameplay
@Flaming_Kaiser Oh I'm still getting the game, I'm just giving the state of play a miss.
Can't wait to get my mitts on it! Having both the console and game delivered on launch day.

Having never played the original, I feel I've already seen too much so I will be giving this a miss as it is so close to launch.
