I'm wondering what 'activations' are in regard to E3 exhibitors?

My voted top 3 was exactly the same as the actual top 3 so I must be part of the Playstation hive mind.

Looking at the PS4 reveal, event was 20th Feb 2013, teased at the end of Jan 2013. That worked so you could see them doing something similar.

Lets go for Wednesday 19th February 2020 for the reveal event. PS5 release 20th November. Cost £450.

On the actual subject of the News story, I'm also interested in what Microsoft will be showing.

You've got to assume that Sony will have an event before E3, reveal the PS5 fully and the launch line up. Then at E3 the third parties will show off their next gen games. PS5 will be talked about and Sony don't need to be there with a big conference. Makes sense to me.

Technically the xbox event is off site so not actually at E3, its just on at the same time. Sony are making the right decision, they hold an event in March for example all the news is about them, not mixed up with all the other stuff going on.

Really enjoyed UC 1-3, played them in PS3 and then again on PS4 when the collection originally released. One day will play UC 4 and Legacy again but knee deep in Yakuza 6 at the moment which will take me a while.

Bit behind on Yakuza having just started 6 which is great so far (how did they get away with the live chat mini game???). Looking forward to this when it comes over.

Listening to the first 40 minutes or so on the way to work this morning, thought it was ok but agree with the other comments. Prefer Sacred Symbols (a playstation podcast).

Have to agree with a lot of the comments here. TF2 is a great game but this is very poor value for the PS+ Subscriber. Its included in EA Access, regularly on sale for less than £5 and currently the TF2 Ultimate Edition on Xbox is £3.74! You'd think they'd put something enticing on there for the Black Friday/Christmas shoppers.

I agree with this, if Xbox had the quality exclusives they wouldn't go onto Gamepass, you can't expect something like The Last of Us 2 on a subscription service day one. I have a pro with Now and an X with Gamepass and am mainly non-biased. The X is undoubtedly a better machine technically than the Pro but Playstation exclusives make it an easy win, you just can't beat them.

Probably in a minority but this does look like something I'd like. As long as the game play loop is good and inevitable micro transactions aren't too offensive, would enjoy a loot based Avengers game.

Played this demo at EGX, seemed decent enough, looks good and gameplay made sense. Agree on the comment about level design, you are just literally just following a path through metal walkways and ladders until the boss fight. Quite hard to get a feel for the full game, its not ideal sitting 1 inch from a massive screen either.

Soul Reaver remake would be good

There is a Death Stranding 'Experience' at EGX next weekend. Whatever that is. Doubt anyone will be able to play the game but you never know.

If the early review embargo is correct this would definitely indicate confidence in the game, have a week of potentially positive reviews and hype before release. I'm interested but wary, some good reviews from trusted sources would push me to preorder. Also I would now like to think that Sam will urinate as Norman does for increased immersion.

Release date Feb 2020. Story Trailer. Multiplayer Reveal. Joel is dead.

Don't fall into the hype trap, followed by the inevitable disappointment and internet moaning cycle. Keep expectations low and enjoy the presentation. Saying that, Ghost of Tsushima update please!

Anthem has actually sold well in the US, 5th best selling game this year. Doesn't make it good and I'd imagine not many are playing it now. This blog from Bioware is nonsense though, how can you call it whats next for Anthem and then literally don't say anything about whats next for Anthem?!?

Don't think I've ever been more conflicted on whether a game is going to be a work of genius or boring nonsense! Guess that is what makes it interesting though, most games you know pretty much exactly what you will get beforehand.

Said it last week and will say again, its a Cross not an X because they are symbols.

Anyway, no where near as bad as Gif (with a G) actually supposed to be pronounced as Jif, that's proper madness.

Might just be me, but I'd advise maybe holding off on the pre-orders unless you really like Borderlands 2 and want more of the same. Games have moved on since 2012 when B2 came out and it seems slightly suspect that review code has only been sent to select places. Its not just a US/UK divide, personally I like the guys online (like ACG) who produce a long form style review and they haven't got codes either.

I've not played most of these games so have subscribed for a year at £19.99. Not really interested in competitive multiplayer but can play the Battle Field campaigns, Titan fall 2 etc. Have tried the Anthem trial, lets just say I'm unlikely to complete the free 10 hours... Assuming it turns out decent will get the discount on Fallen Order in November. So overall not too bad a deal for me at least.

Even if Ready at Dawn aren't working on The Order its interesting to speculate what they are doing at the moment. They have just moved to a new studio which would imply investment from somewhere as worked on smaller projects and VR games recently. Could be working on a game for Sony, another developer signed by Xbox or even a Google Stadia game? Maybe The Order 1887, launch game on PS5? Very unlikely but what if...

The game had issues but overall I enjoyed it and the potential is there for a great sequel. You never know, stranger things have happened.

I'm optimistic, enjoyed Max Payne and Alan Wake, never played Quantum Break as don't have a Xbox one. Hopefully its decent and worth a purchase, not much else of interest out in August.

Actually as a yearly cost of £19.99 so £1.66 a month its not that bad, you get the 10% discount on new EA games as well. If you are digital buyer of EA games you're getting £6 off a new £60 game. If you can play Fallen Order or FIFA 20 early and with a discount I can see people subscribing.

@Derpie1 I agree but why do that at e3? Info on exclusives like tsushima will be big news whenever and wherever it happens.

If Playstation is still big news at E3 without attending due to third party releases why would they go back? I'd imagine Sony having its own PS5 launch event at a different time would have more impact. Why share the pie when you could have the whole pie to yourself?

Just as a fyi, the Gold Edition which contains the expansion pass is £37.49 on the UK store.

Some important issues being deferred and discussed from this probably very minor change to the remake. But no one seems to have noticed the real issue! The directors name is spelt incorrectly, 'Testuya' indeed.

You'd imagine specs aren't finalised yet so entirely possible the current next gen PS dev kits are better than the current Scarlett kit.
