Re: Random: These Fake PlayStation Showcase Leaks Are Hilarious

Lyonjak

@LiamCroft ok but keep daves brothers wifes friend out of this so there's no consequences. They've told me that games involving shooting will also be revealed, they mentioned something about haptics being discussed, their will be an emphasis on strong narrative content, probably something involving a historic setting with swordplay and horse riding! Never heard of anything called God of War so that won't be there.

Re: Unbelievably, the Abandoned App Pre-Load Really Is Live on PS5

Lyonjak

Trailer reveal Tuesday 10th August...I'm thinking we're looking the wrong direction here. This is actually Sony Santa Monica showing a God of War RAGNAROK trailer, all this Kojima talk is a red herring. Teaser on the 10th, will also announce a State of Play on Thursday 12th August! I have no facts or theories to support this in any way. Someone translate Hasan Kahraman to ancient Norse to see if it means Cory Barlog.

Re: Tencent Tables $1.3 Billion Takeover of Sackboy Dev Sumo Digital

Lyonjak

Tencent have stakes in almost all of the largest gaming companies now, owning some completely. Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft, Epic, Riot, Paradox, Remedy, Platinum etc. Not sure how 'hands off' they actually are either with several reports of censorship and stopping free speech as the Chinese company gains more control.

Re: Ubisoft Planning for Assassin's Creed Infinity, Online Platform in 2024

Lyonjak

Well if this is a way of linking smaller more immersive single player experiences within an online connected system of some kind that sounds ok. If the more likely outcome is some kind of shared Fortnite type game with people running around dressed as popular youtubers, wearing fluorescent fairy wings with jet packs flying around medieval Venice I'm out. Requiescat in pace.

Re: Reaction: It's Time to Accept We Can't Predict PlayStation Anymore

Lyonjak

Just looking at first party:
Holiday 2021/2022 - Horizon (PS4/PS5)
2022 - GoW (PS4/PS5)
2022 - GT (PS4/PS5)
That's all we know officially, not much to go on.
I'd rather they don't go back to revealing things four years away but give us something...its crumbs for the hungry at the moment. Even a little hint at the next true 1st party PS5 exclusive would be nice.

Re: State of Play Livestream Confirmed for Thursday, Featuring Deathloop

Lyonjak

Saw there was a new State of Play, got excited then saw what it was about....sigh
Nothing against Deathloop but feel like we've seen plenty of that already.
It's time for a first party update Playstation! Even a little hint would be nice, little bit of Ragnarok, Horison release date, anything else coming out in 2022?

Re: Weird PS5 Game Abandoned Delays Trailer App to Friday

Lyonjak

I've not played Death Stranding so don't know if this means anything but Sam had a Dutch Flag on his backpack didn't he in the directors cut trailer? Reading the Push Square articles Blue Box are a Dutch studio, does this mean anything? The Death Stranding directors cut trailer itself being like Metal Gear was also odd.

Re: Reaction: E3 Is a Relic Desperately Clinging to Relevancy

Lyonjak

E3 as a show is pointless, Microsoft and Nintendo had their events this week but they aren't connected to the E3 event except they were on the same time. MS and Nin could release their stuff whenever they like, in fact I'd think they would prefer to pick the dates themselves rather than some obligation to a specific week in June. Horizon state of play from a couple of weeks ago has over 6m views at the moment, nothing in E3 comes close to this. IF PlayStation have there own 'future of PS5' type event in July away from all the other stuff, everyone will be talking about them alone.

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Update Planned for Ubisoft's E3 Show

Lyonjak

Feel like I'm a member of Valhalla anonymous, can't really disagree with most of the complaints but just can't quit it. Eivor roams around fighting people and travelling to glowing dots on the map, on repeat. Played about 70 odd hours now, the activity cards shows I've completed 20% of Eivors quest! Ratchet out this week which looks great, probably finish that and then go back to Valhalla ready for Paris.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Aiming to Be a 'Playable, Stable Game without Glitches and Crashes'

Lyonjak

This situation is very disappointing, looking forward to this for years. Played a bit on launch but quickly decided to leave it for a while and come back when patched, and that's on PS5. They do have a history for this though going all the way back to the original Witcher game, purchased that on PC and was a complete technical mess. They fixed with an upgraded edition about a year later.

Does come across as very dishonest, you'd assume the base PS4 version will have sold the most pre-orders but that's the version they spent the least time on optimizing? Concentrating on the much smaller group of high end PC and next gen users? Very dodgy.

Re: FIFA 21 on PS5 Has Hair Worthy of a L'Oréal Commercial

Lyonjak

One of the first thing I noticed was the lustrous hair on players. Some players likeness look a lot better than before. Still can't pronounce Bruno Fernandes though (Fernanj), Ole hasn't been modeled as never appears on touchline. Also, bubbles at West Ham home game looks like they've been ray traced.
