I really like the combat being magic based and shooting spells.
It kinda remind of inFamous in a scene or two.
The traversal looks cool, but needs more work in my oppinion.
Let´s see if SquareEnix can deliver a good brand new IP.

As for Graces f I see what you mean. The characters were not the best of a Tales of game I´ll give you that.
Both Hubert Oswell and Sophie would get on my nerves 😜
But the combat system was pretty good.
Except the difficulty spikes at the end.

Great review @ShogunRok. I just got more hyped for Arise.
Sucks that the party members are not so bright just like in the demo. Maybe we just need to get used to it.
One question though, in terms of crafting, is it just weapons or are there some armor as well? I noticed you could craft accessories in the demo, but I think that was it.

One of the best Boss fights, filled with backstory between two warriors.

As a fellow 36 year old man and huge MGS fan, if that happens,
I would truly shed tears of joy and would replay that trailer over and over again, saying to myself: "is this real?"
But I´ll, do you one better.
What if Kojima Productions, with Bluepoint could somehow Remake both Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 for PS5?
Can you imagine? Snakes first two missions? Meeting Grey Fox for the very first time in MG1 and that epic Boss battle with him in the minefield in MG2? MIND BLOWN.
A guy can dream.

The Order 1886 was one of those games that truly felt like I was just playing the prologue.
Just when the story was getting interesting, the game ends......
In a cliffhanger no less.
A sequel could very much improve both the pacing and the enemy A.I. wich wasn´t that good.
Also those anoying QTEs need to go way.
And even more cool and excentric weapons by Tesla.
But just like other PS tittles, I don´t really see that happening.
Still one of the most visually impressive games on PS4.

Before Control, Alan Wake was my favourite Remedy game besides the original Max Payne.
They just know how to make interesting gameplay combined with narrative.
And that is a good list of games you have.
Streets of Rage 4, Batman Arkham Asylum and Horizon Zero Dawn are 3 fantastic games. Many hours of fun awaits you
You should also play Arkham City as well. It´s so good.

Example: In Sonic 3 and Knuckles I was able to get all the 14 emeralds with Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. All 14 of them. And beat the game as the Hyper version of those characters.
Wanna know how many emeralds I got in Sonic Mania?
3..... Only 3 Emeralds......
How was I able to do that as a kid, I have no idea 🤷‍♂️
I can beat games like Ni-Oh, Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Returnal and The Surge. But old scholl Sonic games? Not really 😜

And Alan Wake remaster (Remake would be better) for next gen? Wich means there is a possibility for AW2?

Mass Effect 2 is such an awesome game, even more so if yoy played the first and have the Legendary eddition with all the dlc.
Just take your time, build your team and get those Paragon or Renegade points, cause your gonna need them.

Golden Axe. A game series I haven´t heard in awhile. Used to play all three game back to back on my Sega MegaDrive (Genesis).
I knew those games and how to beat enemies and Bosses like the palm of my hand, back when was a kid. Good times.
Well, I guess you could say Shadow of Mordor and War are kinda the "modern" version of those games.
I think you can get Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara on Steam. It is more close to the Old school sprite games.

Honestly, I haven´t felt the will to play videogames that much lately. Just watching some tv shows mostly.
But I decided to go back to Returnal and get the True ending and eventualy the Platinum trophy.
And...... The game is kicking my ass, just like in the begining 😜
I need to get my mojo back.
But man, if the game isn´t super fun. Because it is. A lot.
Might also do more Guilty Gear Strive online matches.
I´m just waiting for Tales of Arise and Deathloop to be honest.
Oh, and the PS5 showcase next week. Really hope it´s good.

Legacy of Kain series have some of the very best character dialogue and voice acting in a videogame.

  Just a small example.
  Oh, Soul Reaver, in my opinion, still has, to this day, the most iconic, beautiful, amazing, cinematic intro of a videogame.

Happy birthday to Dante and the DMC franchise.
As a fan of the series (If my alias doesn´t give it away) I played trough all of them and....... Yeah, there are some discrepancies.
My favourites in order are:

• DMC1. The game that showed me how cool, cocky and awesome Dante is. Also because it was like a Action oriented Resident Evil. Because it was suposed to be one.
• DMC3 Special Edition. Dante is even more cocky than before and you can play as Vergil. And that Intro though!!!! Fantastic!
• DmC. There are some very cool ideas for level an Boss design in this game. Like the Disco level and Bob Vargas Boss fight.
• DMCV. Mostly because it adresses the main characters backstory and their relationships.
  And Devil Trigger. And Bury the light. Yep, that´s it.

DMC games really pushes you to be at least good at them and on higher difficulties it can be literally "Hell".
But only if you want to challenge yourself.
Kinda like doing that ME1 Insanity run, same way I did 😉
It really made me apreciate the remastered version of ME1 even more. And how amazing the world building and storytelling is. Bioware set the Bar almost to High with it.
Now if only Soul Reaver and the Legacy of Kain saga had the same treatment and care.......
What I wouldn´t give for a proper remake and a following of the story........ Oh well 🤷‍♂️

I think the "repeat" option came with the latest update and it´s a really good addition to the game, especialy for me, since I love the Duels in this game.

After finishing my ME Adept, Renegade, Insanity run, I was going for a ME2 Infiltrator, Renegade, Insanity run.
But......
So, there is this expansion for my personal GOTY with an uprade for PS5, so.......... I´ll be playing that. That´s it.
I love that you can repeat the duels now.
I repeated pretty must all of them while I was remembering how to play this game again in Lethal difficulty.
It´s so fun....... When the CPU doesn´t cheat 😜

Hi there fellow gamers.
Tried the demo, finished twice and it felt really good.
The combat is pretty cool and flashy, but I would have prefered if we could have started a few hours in the begining so we could have learned more about the battle system mechanics.
But Alphen and Law (the two that I finished the demo with) are super fun to play as.
And man, is the game pretty. This is what a high budget Tales of looks like. And it looks GOOD.
Kinda wanna play the demo with again, but this time with Kisara and Dohalim.
Also, loved the party dialogue scenes. Quirky and lovable as ithey should be. Can´t wait for the full game.

Two of the most amazing rogue like games.
Hades is soooo good. Fantastic art style, great characters and the part that still gets me.
I´ve done 96 runs and there is always new dialogue.
Not once have I seen or heard the same lines. Not Once.
How is that even possible? SuperGiant Games rules.
And Returnal is exactely what I wanted from Housemarque.
An awesome, addictive, fun and challenging shooter with a very compelling story done right. Still have to Platinum the game.
It is great to see both devs enjoying and praising both games.

You are absolutely right. The Metal Gear Saga is one of the very best gaming sagas of all time.
And yes, before the amazing Dualsense and it´s fantastic haptic feedback, you could almost feel the rain outside the Tanker chapter in MGS2. Snake could even get a cold for staying outside too long. Just like in MGS1 in the area of Sniper Wolf.
Man, those games are so awesome.

Like I said before, Raiden became a fan favourite for a lot of people, especially after MGR: Revengeance and it´s awesome OST.
Having said that, for me personaly, it has to be Solid Snake with Big Boss a close second.
I mean, he even has the same name as I have as well as he´s iconic english voice actor 😜 So there is that.

I´ve watched "that" trailer so many times before I got my PS2 with Zone of the Enders, great game by the way, and the MGS2 demo.
I still remember being completely flabbergasted with the Intro on the brige. It was so impressive at the time, that I invited some friends and family members to watch it with me.
They thought it was a movie at first.
And it very divisive with the Raiden being the "protagonist" instead of Snake. Kojima was very "sneaky" about it.
It is still a great game and Raiden actually became a fan favourite over the years.
And yes, Kojima was absolutely right about his prediction of the future. People can say whatever they want, but the man is a visionary.

It really is one of the weirdest things. Aparently some people have the same issue with one controler, but not with their other one.
Also @KingPev glad you decided to get Returnal.
It is challenging, but super fun and addictive 👍
Just play the game slow and learn all the mechanics and enemies patterns. You´ll get there.

I absolutely loved Control Ultimate on my PC.
There are some amazing gaming moments.
Sadly, I can´t seem to play the game on my PS5.
For some reason, I can´t "control" Jessie normaly. She either stops moving or starts walking when I want her to run or sprint.
It´s very weird. Even more because that is the only game were it happens. No problem playing Ratchet, Returnal, Nioh2 and others. I want to Platinum the game, but like this it´s impossible..... 🤷‍♂️

I see what you mean. Breath of the Wild is so good and really fun to just go anywere and explore to your own accord.
Have like 167 hours on it.
RDR2 is also phenomenal in both characters and world building. I do have some gripes with it´s gameplay mechanics though.
Also agree with you on Lance Reddick. He was great in Fringe as well. Loved that tv show.
JFO is quite probably the Best Star Wars game I´ve ever played.
Loved that it had similar combat mechanics as Sekiro.
And that end Boss fight...... You know the one. Great moment.
Ghost of Tsushima is my personal GOTY, so there is that.
And Control is awesome. Super fun videogame.
I really want Remedy to continue working in that universe.

You are going to love ME2. With all of your choices from ME1, the great cast of characters, a very companion driven game, the awesome Lair of the Shadow Broker dlc, and that Final Mission that is SO GOOD.
A few tips:

• Always get the party members upgrades for the ship and grind for materials if you need;
• Make sure you Paragon or Renegade points are high;
• Do all of your party members loyalty missions. They are some of the best missions of the game and will help you later;
• Have different save files. One mistake can cost you a life.
