Christmas is virtually upon us, so there unfortunately won't be much gaming time on the horizon for me, but I did finally manage to finish off Wreckfest last weekend, and have been dipping in and out of Sonic forces and streets of rage 4 with the kids.
Little to no gaming going on for me these past few weeks, new job, weekends away and other projects going on, as well as catching up with/rewatching some TV shows. But I've got loads to get through. Mainly focusing on the following;
Batman enemy within - currently on episode 2 of this, I love the telltale games just for dipping in and out of.
Wreckfest - just hit driver level 30, slow progress but getting there.
Fall guys - the kids love it, so have the odd game with them here and there.
Steep - another one that my kids love, just dipping in and out.
Also got loads that I want to get started soon, but need to cross batman and Wreckfest off first - Uncharted ND collection, Batman Arkham asylum, HZD.
There's been little to no gaming happening for me lately. Been away for the last two weekends and spent Friday and Saturday night this week playing monopoly with the family.
I've got lots of games on the go at moment too.
Streets of Rage 4 FIFA 21 Wreckfest - looking to have this finished in the next week. Steep Uncharted 1 Batman enemy within Batman Arkham asylum Horizon Zero Dawn
Also looked at the riders Republic beta last week, but unfortunately didn't get enough time on it to have a proper opinion - I did enjoy what little time I had with it though.
Looking to fully dive into HZD once I've boxed off Wreckfest and batman enemy within. Hopefully will have made a fair chunk of progress by next weekend.
Steep - starting to really get into this now, nice easy game to chill with.
Fall guys - still playing plenty of this with my lad, but starting to tail off a bit now
FIFA 21 - well, footballs back on innit. Decided to start a career mode with Chelsea, hoping to manage a team in all the big European leagues (England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France) and lead each team to CL glory.
Streets of Rage 4 - dipping in and out of this.
Hollow Knight - still trying to give it time, but thinking it's not for me.
Added a few more games to get started with as well.
Batman enemy within
Batman Arkham asylum
Tekken 7
Horizon Zero Dawn
Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection
I had being playing UFC 4, but for some reason my EA play account locked all the games I was playing through the sub, despite it not being up for renewal for another week or so. I decided I wasn't that bothered and cancelled the sub. Don't think I'll miss it to be honest.
Happy gaming everyone! And enjoy anything you do this weekend 👍👍
Wreckfest - still chipping away at career mode slowly
Streets of Rage 4 - jumping in now and then doing the odd level
UFC 4 - Slow progress, but steady on career
Hollow Knight - Not touched if I'm honest
Fall Guys - the kids are loving it (Happy 1st birthday to the game for the other day)
Steep - loaded this up the other day from the backlog ( riders Republic brought it to the forefront of my mind) still very much getting to grips with it, but seems like fun
Quick little update, finished my first run on Streets of Rage 4. Managed to show it to my dad today too (who is unfortunately battling illness right now and it instantly took him back 30 years - it was good to see)
Wreckfest - plodding with career mode. Struggling with it to be fair. It gets stale quite quickly so only play in short bursts.
UFC 4 - Was getting battered every time I played, but starting to get the hang of it now.
Hollow Knight - Fired this up for the first time the other day. It's hard and I'm not sure if I like it. Will give it a bit longer though.
Streets of Rage 4 - I played the original trilogy as a kid, so there's a lot of nostalgia tied to this for me. I never knew I needed a sequel until I started this.
Fall guys - playing lots of this with my 5 year old son. He loves it!
I'm struggling to stick to anything at the moment. I've done a few rounds of Fall Guys, a bit of Wreckfest, and got my arse handed to me a few times on UFC 4. But now the Olympics have started there won't be much happening for the next couple of weeks.
It has to be said, I've not really played anything while the euro's has been on apart from a few short bursts on Wreckfest (PS4), Fall guys & FIFA 21. Just seen that UFC 4 is now in the vault on EA Play so I'll be starting that next week and picking up where I left off on jedi fallen order.
All added to library. No idea when I'll play them though.
The backlog gets bigger every month. Got the last couple of levels to do on oddworld new 'n' tasty, and then blast my way through jedi fallen order. May try and get those done before the euro's start on 11th June, because there won't be much gaming happening while footballs on.
Playing nothing this weekend, as I have loads of other things I need to do (like planting potatoes for my dad on his allotment) and it's also Wrestlemania weekend.
But I've loaded up some stuff ready to start chipping away at from next week
Jedi fallen order
FIFA 21
UFC 3
Cities skylines
Abzu
Enter the gungeon
NBA 2K16 (I know this is very old, it's out of the backlog lol)
I already own Days Gone, it's an ok game. Oddworld I will look at (when I get a PS5) and the zombie army game will go straight into the ever growing backlog.
It's not a bad selection by any means, but nothing to really get excited about. Personally this is the first month for a good while where the selection hasn't really grabbed my attention. Can't win 'em all though.
I'm not playing anything at the moment. I finished dirt 5 about 10 days ago and haven't picked the controller up since. I guess I'll just take a break for a little while and catch up on some movies, TV and books.
Just chipping away at Dirt 5, part way through chapter 3 of the career mode. I'm not one for trophy hunting, but I'm confident of a platinum on this (it does look like a very easy platinum to be fair)
Nearly bought ff7 for £30 at Xmas, held off and bought FIFA 21 instead. Then the price went up to £60, and I wrote it off. So now I'm very happy I waited.
Finished god of war last weekend. Decided I needed something light before getting into anything else. Played through journey, simple little game, I enjoyed. Then o dipped a bit more into the backlog, and started Aaru's awakening. Horrible frustrating game - I've binned it off. Played a little FIFA 21, and tonight I'm gonna start on Dirt 5.

Re: Rumour: PS Plus PS5, PS4 Games for March 2022 Potentially Leaked
Well, I wouldn't say that line up is exciting, but I don't have ark or team Sonic, so will probably take a look at them
(That's if this line up is correct)
Re: Poll: How Long Should Games Be?
10 to 20 hours is enough for me (for a story driven game)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 407
Gonna box off Batman: Enemy within this weekend. Up to episode 2 so far. Dunno if I'll start anything else this weekend.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 406
@Westernwolf4 shh, don't tell everyone 😂😂

Haha, there's just not enough hours in the day.
Re: PS Plus Games for December 2021 Are Available to Download Now
@dschons
I'm still playing stuff from 2018 😂
Re: PS Plus Games for December 2021 Are Available to Download Now

Spoilt for choice 😂
Re: PS Plus Games for December 2021 Are Available to Download Now
Added to library. Dunno when I'll play any of them. Backlog is already huge 😐
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 405
Determined to finish Wreckfest's career mode tonight, and then I'm not sure what I'll be playing.
Bit off topic, but I watched Godzilla vs Kong last night. It's basically Batman vs Superman, but with monsters 😐
Re: Sony Set to Combine PS Plus and PS Now to Create Xbox Game Pass Competitor on PS5, PS4
Exciting stuff, if the price is right 👍
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 404
The past few weeks have been pretty barren on the gaming front for me, had a lot of 'real life' stuff going on.
My dad has just had a big cancer operation and spent a month in the hospital - he's home now and recovering. But it was a testing time for everyone.
And then various other things have kept me away from the controller. Back on it a little bit this weekend though.
Trying to get through Wreckfest (still) and my son has been playing little big planet 3.
I've got a series S coming in a few weeks (as part of a phone contract) can anyone recommend any of it's hidden gems?
Happy gaming everyone!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 398
Mass effect and PGA 2K21. Enjoying both 👍👍
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 396
Managed to pick up ME: Legendary edition on Friday, not started it yet, but it's gonna keep me busy for long time!
Re: Rumour: PS Plus October 2021 PS5, PS4 Games Have Leaked
Pretty happy with these. If this is what gets announced on Wednesday 👍

@RaZieLDaNtE
I'm happy that they're remastering Alan Wake, it was one of the 360 games I always wanted to play but never did. Looking forward to it.

Yep. I think we're both thinking the same thing. Here's hoping 👍👍

Re: PS Plus Games for August 2021 Available to Download on PS5, PS4 Now
Usually add to library even of I don't think I'll play them. I'm absolutely not doing that this month.
I don't play battle royale games.
I'm not interested in plants v zombies.
Tennis is by far the most boring sport to ever exist (in my opinion 😂)
Hoping for a much better offering from Sony for next month.
Re: PS5, PS4 Boxing Sim eSports Boxing Club Continues to Look Mind Blowing
I've not played a boxing game since fight night round 3. This looks absolutely amazing though and I can't wait to play it.
Although, I won't pick it up until I have a PS5 (whenever that may be) I feel like this is one that has to be enjoyed in its ultimate next-gen glory.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 387
Quick little update, finished my first run on Streets of Rage 4. Managed to show it to my dad today too (who is unfortunately battling illness right now and it instantly took him back 30 years - it was good to see)

Re: PS Plus August 2021 PS5, PS4 Games Announced
Awful line-up this month. I normally add everything to library and maybe I'll play somewhere down the line.
Don't think I'll bother this month, but my backlog is huge anyway, so I'm not bothered really.
Sony needs to put out something much better next month though
Re: PS Plus August 2021 PS5, PS4 Games Leaked by Sony
Let's hope this leak isn't what we actually end up with.
Either way it'll be the same as almost every month - add to library, maybe play them in about two years.

I'm struggling to stick to anything at the moment. I've done a few rounds of Fall Guys, a bit of Wreckfest, and got my arse handed to me a few times on UFC 4. But now the Olympics have started there won't be much happening for the next couple of weeks.

Re: Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: The Official Video Game Finally Releasing Outside of Japan Next Month
This should be a PS Plus game. Perfect candidate in my eyes.
Re: Biomutant (PS4) - The Classic Case of What Could Have Been
This game caught my attention right from 1st trailer, and I was really looking forward to it.
After reading this I'm not sure about it, and that disappoints me 😐
Re: The Division Heartland Announced, a Free-to-Play, Standalone Division Game
Love The Division games, will be interested to see what this new one is all about, I won't pass judgement until I've played it though 👍

How have you managed to post this in the future, yet I can see it in the present? 🤯

Oddworld and Zombie Army straight into the backlog, already own Days gone.
Can't say this selection excites me, but given the way we've been spoilt recently I can't complain.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 368
Still ploughing away on Dirt 5, on chapter 5 now, so not long left to go.

Another top month. 👍👍👍
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 364
Managed to finish God of war last night (just the main story - I'm not interested in all the side quests & trophy hunting)
Absolutely amazing game, no idea what I'm going to play next, but it has some big shoes to fill.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 364
@Mgene15 Absolutely! It's a beautiful game visually, and a great story too. Take your time with it and enjoy it, you won't regret it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 364
Still playing God of War, think I'm close to the end now.
Had a look at Farming simulator 19 last night (just did a few tutorials) looks like something I could get into when I need to switch my brain off.
Re: Talking Point: What Free March 2021 PS Plus Games Do You Want?
I can honestly say I can't think of any games that I want right now.
So let's hope there's a couple of hidden gems this time round!
Re: Codemasters Welcomed into the 'EA Family' as Acquisition Is Completed
@OthmaneAD
That's one of the only good things that can come from this.
I'd love to see a Codemasters back catalogue added to EA play.
Something tells me it won't happen though 😔
