Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Is Another "I'll wait for you to be dirt cheap before I think about you again" Game. Why? Because I have a huge PS4 back catalogue of great games that will play wonderfully on that PS5, and GamePass for that XBSX kick. I literally have no time for all the games I have even if I didn't do anything else in life. I'm good. Even if they decide to price it at 99.
@Uromastryx @TheArt @leucocyte @1_W1NG3D_4NG3L the difficulty has no real effect on the Queen in terms of gameplay - one has to play smart in order to beat her. Yes, it will take faster on easy because you'll be able to hurt her more with each attack and she will not be able to hurt Kratos that much as on harder modes, but in essence, the fight is equally difficult on any difficulty level. It took me days (of one to two hours sessions, leaving the game when my frustration ran high) to learn how to beat the Queen with innumerable times dying with the Queen being one hit away from being defeated. What worked for me in the end (in addition to maxed out equipment) was entering a state of zen, being patient during the fight and NEVER, NEVER getting greedy with my attacks. You have to learn when to retreat and bide your time for the next opening. I hated that final fight and will never replay it again, ever, but I would be lying if I would say that getting that Platinum (the fight was the last thing left for it) didn't feel great.
@get2sammyb "I'm not sure why Hitman 3 needs to be "associated" with Kinda Funny or MinnMax for new content that ultimately has nothing to do with them, but whatever." Phew, good. I thought I was being that guy who doesn't get it, but nah, it's really dumb. Well, marketing department dumping money left and right is nothing new, then, I guess. Good times for content creators (if there was ever a dumber nomenclature...).
"Comparison footage of a ride up to the Citadel's Presidium level lasts just 14 seconds in the Legendary Edition, down from 52 seconds in the original."
Well, this just won't do. I enjoyed the elevator rides because my teammates would go on a tangent and I enjoyed those exchanges. This "14 seconds" aggression will not stand! The dude minds!
@KPraj same here, played on OG PS4 on a non-HDR tv @1080p. Although I got a PS4Pro afterwards, never went back to it as I have platinumed it during that first playthrough. I will go for another spin on the ps5 and a 4k oled.
@Mittsu nah man, it's the minority that won't budge. Hold the line! If a consonant can be heard at the beginning, its "a". The fact that a third of english speakers says istory and not history is their problem. 🤣
I enjoyed and finished my first playthrough on ps4pro with ssd. I love cyberpunk and CP2077 was going to click with me. That 3/10 score, though, totally deserved. Releasing a game in this state should be unacceptable (well, except for early alpha access).
Live Gold is dead. MS is going to retire it as soon as they get a significant number of subscribers over to gamepass. This is just going to accelerate the process and the price hike confirms this theory. As for the price, I subscribe to both plus and gamepass. I have never paid a full yearly price for either (amazon sales, or codes on ebay).
@thefourfoldroot got it. Thanks. I am assuming since PS5 is not operating at 2160 they simply couldn't maintain 60fps at that resolution. Either way, we agree on "stealth" in games, which is a far more important point to agree on👍
@thefourfoldroot it's difficult to understand what you wrote so please excuse if I misunderstood. The whole point of this comparison is that the game doesn't do dynamic resolution. XB6 does true 4K at 60fps and is clearly the way to go for people who have both consoles.
Then again, if you have both consoles and PSVR, well then PS5 is the clear winner.
Of course, one would need to be mildly interested in Hitman franchise. I tried to like the series but it never clicked with me.
@Dezzy70 I was looking for xb6 after I got the ps5, all over the place with no luck. Then, on a whim, went to ms store via xb1x and half jokingly clicked through an xb6 order thinking "yeah, right, see you in 3 months". To my surprise, they delivered a week later. I guess either the demand for xb6 is not as great as for ps5, or MS has it a bit better with their supply chain.
@Eldritch as one who got the ps5 during the original preorder (without any hassle on amazon, but only because I was awoken as the preorder went live)... I can tell you this: good call. Yes, cute robot dualsense demo is good but not "gotta play this before I die" good. Cyberpunk is broken and half-baked wherever you play it so the fact that it runs well on ps5 means nothing. I finished the game on my ps4pro with an ssd (it ran well).
Seriously, good call (until Ratchet and Clunk comes out).
@nessisonett oh, I don't know, maybe Steven S. DeKnight, Drew Goddard and, why not if they want an upstart in directorial realm, Bryce Dallas Howard, to name a few.
@nessisonett I agree but that was not the point I was trying to make. Mine was: him (not established thus more obedient, and let's not forget: probably cheaper) vs an established director who does not direct soulless cash cows. I would have rather had the latter. But as said, this will be a great opportunity for Balagov to establish himself.
This may be the beginning of a great work opportunity for Mr. Balagov, but the fact that this production had to go for an unknown director tells me that maybe they need an executor of other people's artistic and directorial vision and not somebody who will bring their own vision into the project. My expectations are low for this one.
I may have enjoyed other exclusives more and some VR experiences may have been totally transformative (if I could vote for the most impacting and groundbreaking way we play games on PlayStation, PSVR would be it) but I voted for God of War. Not only because it was a great game but because it magnificently resurrected a true blood PlayStation franchise.
That said, for me, the game of the generation (on any and all platforms) spot has to be a shared win between Zelda BOTW and RDR2.

@Voltan ha! Nicely done with that ending... and yes, that WOULD have been kinda funny.

@DrClayman ah right, forgot about that aspect: where you owned the games before, for the added content. Good point.
