Re: We're Sure Fans Will Be Rational Over This The Last of Us PS5 Clip

TheDudeElDuderino

@Shepherd_Tallon I 'member. Do you 'membeeeer?
Hahaha, jokes aside, Beyod Two Souls was released in October that Year, TLOU in June... but way before that time, it was during first released trailers that it became absolutely apparent that they took liberty with basing Ellie's look on that then actress' (now actor) appearance . After that said actress (then) expressed her dissatisfaction with the situation Naughty Dog rushed into changing face vertices positioning for Ellie's 3D model. The original reveal for TLOU can still be found on youtube as well as IGN's reporting.

Re: There's 'No Comparison' Between The Last of Us on PS5 vs PS3, Says Dev

TheDudeElDuderino

@Americansamurai1 and PS4 remaster has identical gameplay, so what is your point? The man said it: you can't just go left and right and implement TLOUp2 all gameplay aspects as they would then need to totally rework everything.
Wait a second. Wasn't this supposed to be a remake from grounds up? Ooops.
Just forget it dude, this is just a continuation of their atrocious PS3 to PS4 "upgrade". No discount for previous owners (God forbid a free upgrade). I stopped paying top dollar to Naughty Dog long time ago and I am happier for it. Got a huge backlog and I CAN WAIT. I played TLOUp2 when it came to PS NOW. Cool game.
I was and still am a rabid TLOU (1) fan but there is zero chances I am buying this before it hits the proverbial dirt cheap discount bin (i.e. until they inevitably put it on that PS Plus Mumbo Jumbo whatchamacallit extra/premium tier).

Re: Video: The Best The Last of Us Moments We Can't Wait to Replay on PS5

TheDudeElDuderino

You can't ever fall in love for the first time again. When this comes to ps+ I will check it out. I was unimpressed by the remaster. PS3 version (for its time and the platform) was and still is way more impressive. Even TLOUp2 was not that technically impressive given the platform. Sure, I'm jaded and I see through ND's smoke and mirrors but the absolute "WTF! How can this run on this box and look so good" of TLOU on ps3 will not be achieved with this "remake".

Re: Hands On: Cyberpunk 2077's PS5 Version Actually Feels Like a Finished Game

TheDudeElDuderino

@Mossbergs don't be silly dude! Rockstar doing city feeling alive better 7 years ago? Hahaha, no, dude.
Rockstar made their city feel alive, better, and pedestrians acting more naturaly 14 years ago on consoles two generations prior to this one. Fourteen, dude, Fourteen. CDPR sucks at this, their city feels like a ps2 open world game city (at best GTA3 like). I still love the game though. The story is cyberpunk through and through and it is well executed. Not the game they promised, though, not by a long shot, and it never will be.

Re: Hands On: Cyberpunk 2077's PS5 Version Actually Feels Like a Finished Game

TheDudeElDuderino

Finished game? Not by a long shot dude. Even in its PS5 version there are still wierd tech issues like texture pop-in, and this in performace or graphics mode. CDPR should have never released Cyberpunk on anything else but PCs, but then I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it and finish it on my ps4pro+ssd or continue my save on ps5 and I wouldn't have been able to double-dipp by buyin' an xbsx version, because I just love this not the game we were promissed but still a frigin awesome game. Frack it, I'm stayin'. Enjoying my CP2077.

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn: Full Story Recap

TheDudeElDuderino

Duuuude! @Quintumply , man, sir, this is outstanding. I'm ashamed to say that when I saw the title of the article in my rss feed, I went "there's no way anyone wrote this properly because there's just too much of it not to miss something".
I came to comment what was missing and I leave in awe. What a great job, sir!
Not only is it useful to HZD newcomers but also to us who have finished the game and dlc years ago. Maybe also to those who played the game and didn't bother with all the audio and text logs.
I came to skim the article and instead read it from start to finish. Bravo!

Re: Sony 'Vastly Overpaid' in 'Desperation' for Bungie, Says Outspoken Analyst Michael Pachter

TheDudeElDuderino

@get2sammyb you agree with him either because you want to generate engagement here, like this one or you honestly think he is right.
And the pachter dude is right if you take these numbers and put them in a jar. But imagine this: after bethesda and AB acquisitions, MS turns around and while farting accidentally aquires Bungie. How much is that purchase worth to Sony now? It's priceless. 3.6 B is nothing when you're hanging by the skin of your teeth (FPS wise). Pachter and you should get a room, dude.

Re: Not All Circuits Will Have Rain in Gran Turismo 7 on PS5, PS4

TheDudeElDuderino

1. DriveClub lives through those rain effect.
3. Not all tracks will have this awesomeness? RIGHT ON! Why am I happy? Well, you know what GT Sport did not have for every track and every mode? VR. Do you know which racing game had the best implemented VR on ps4 bar none. Yup. GT Sport. Bar none. I tried them all. They were either floaty, projectile vomiting inducing or they had their visual fidelity destroyed.
Polyphony, as always, choses quality over quantity. Far out!

Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on Sony's Buyout of Bungie?

TheDudeElDuderino

Sony smartly burning cash.
Bungie is the king of FPS shooting mechanincs and the feel of shooting. I abandoned Destiny the first time they removed content I paid for and haven't gone back. No free offer got me either, I will never touch it. But! But, those several hundred hours in Destiny were pure joy to play, loved every second of it. So yeah, a lot of potential there and if Sony didn't step in someone else would, ergo a smart move.

Re: Horizon Forbidden West Looks Ridiculous Even on PS4 Pro

TheDudeElDuderino

Still images mean very little these days and the original looked incredible in photo mode. And photo mode allowed for some stupendous screenshots, but we all know, that ain't what the game looked like in motion. Still, no doubt that it will be running smoothly at 30fps on the OG ps4 at sub 1080p resolution.
Honestly, it would matter very little to me if the visuals are slightly gibbed or resolution reduced, because HZD scratches my look-how-they-animated-EVERYTHING-sooo-well itch. I just love how everything moves in that game.

Re: Reaction: Activision Blizzard Buyout Is Devastating for PS5, PS4

TheDudeElDuderino

@lacerz there's something to be said about never humiliating your opponent even when they are about to lose. Always give them an honorable exit. Sony thought they were so smart with that "how to share games on ps4" stint back at e3 2013. They totally humiliated their opponent. And now, the old boy is back and has a hammer in his hands. This is going to hurt Sony. I am not glad at all. I have all systems don't care this way or the other but Sony brought it onto themselves. No one dumps this kind of money with no revenge in mind.

Re: Rumour: The Last of Us Remake Almost Complete, Out This Year

TheDudeElDuderino

@Octane TLOUp2 is a masterpiece. People can hate it all they want, the game is something special.
Would I have liked it more had they made the story so that Abby saves Joel in the opening before she knew who he was and then finding out and executing him, than what they did, making her a total nutjob? Yes, sure would. Would I have liked it more if they made Ellie true to her character and be thankful and knowing when to stop than using her as a plot device? Yup. But that would be my TLOU2 and since I am nowhere near being able to make a single frame of that game, I will appreciate it for what it is. A masterpiece with a less than perfectly crafted story, characters and character archs.

Re: Naughty Dog Shares the Games That Inspired It in 2021

TheDudeElDuderino

@Infernal hey dude, TLOU2 is a masterpiece, but you are being very undude if you think that all the people who had problems with it were objecting that major plot point.
For example, I love the game, have no issue with that character's destiny but I do mind, the dude minds, how they wrote Ellie and what her motivations were throughout the game. I do mind how they made Abby seem like a piece of ***** person while they could have made her more approachable and likeable and a character to fully care for and I definitely mind that for the first trans character they had in their game ND couldn't come up with anything better that to have THAT relationship with their parent with THAT outcome.
Even with all that said, TLOU2 is ND's best game to-date and a must play!

Re: PS Plus Version of Final Fantasy VII Remake Can Be Upgraded to PS5 Version for Free from Wednesday

TheDudeElDuderino

@ShogunRok let's agree that "strong men also cry", dude. I'm not saying that @GADG3Tx87 cried nor that they are strong, but, you know I wll not abide when people disrespect ff7 remake or the legendary moments that brought us here. Remember that E3 reveal? No, not that ps port one, the remake video one. Now, THAT made a lot of strong adults cry.
AM I WRONG?

Re: PS Plus Version of Final Fantasy VII Remake Can Be Upgraded to PS5 Version for Free from Wednesday

TheDudeElDuderino

@Jayofmaya buddy, you say "a bit silly", I say just face it dude, the plane has hit the mountain. There's just no way you're going to ever catch up. You either declare backlog bankruptcy and only buy what you're gonna play or stop buying games until you've played through your back catalogue. 100+, c'mon dude, that's self abuse right there. Just change your hobby maaaan.
😉
*just kidding, I'm worse than you, dude.

Re: Scuf Reveals First Line of Third-Party PS5 Controllers, Prices Start at $200

TheDudeElDuderino

Let's be honest, dudes and dudettes, we are looking at this heap of overpriced trash because, and only because, Sony refuses to put their money where their mouth is and create a premium, pro, 1st party controller.
I mean, I finally decided to go for it and recently bought elite2 at 159... and, I mean, with some luck (that your specific piece was produced well) there is nothing better out there.
I survive on ps4pro with the back button attachment (snatched three during pre-order when people were on the fence) and on PS5... well, ps5 controller is not that bad, yes, I miss the back buttons, but hey I am sure Sony is gonna sell me some toys 'r us level of plastic for it, as well, a year before ps6 is due.

Re: Gran Turismo 7 Dazzles with Unedited Deep Forest Raceway PS5 Gameplay

TheDudeElDuderino

Duuudes, I don't really care how a GT game looks like. Sure, it helps when a GT game is taking the visuals to the next level but for me it's all about the feel and on PS there's nothing that drives quite as "accurately" as real driving as GT. To be honest, there's nothing quite like it on XB either.
Sure, you have your project cars and your corsas but, personally, I don't quite like the "feel" of driving in those. GT does it for me and GT Sport with its VR implementation did it to the point of "my white knuckles sweat bullets as I hurtle towards a deadly bend at 200 miles per hour".

Re: Sony Set to Combine PS Plus and PS Now to Create Xbox Game Pass Competitor on PS5, PS4

TheDudeElDuderino

This is Sony. If they are not down and beaten they will not do anything they don't have to (MS is no different), so no, I am not holding my hopes too high, especially I am not hoping that we will see Sony's first party games day 1 on such a service.

Remeber, GamePass is not profitable yet (it is sustainable, as MS says) and Sony is not ready to dump their profits just for some chance to play a second fiddle.
