Who needs E3 when we have Horizon, sonic and dragon quest streams this week

Weren’t there rumours that eidos were working on a guardian of the galaxy game a few years back?

@DeepSpace5D square enix is a bit of a ***** though, giving timed exclusives to PlayStation and then giving titles like octopath and outriders straight to Xbox game pass

Could it just be the official unveil of VIIR part 2 as opposed to another title? Square Enix Japan is just 4 development studios now, studio 1 is working on ffvii remake, studio 3 is doing xiv endwalker and xvi and the other studios work on things like dragon quest, mana and saga games. I cant imagine them having another major title, unless they've outsourced something, or Tokyo Rpg Factory is working on it

This game has been on my radar for years, hope it’s turn out to be solid, I’ll probably pick up the true PS5 version if it does

Yep I’ve bought a few games since launch, and I’ve definitely buying more digital than ever, just wish I had more time to play them all. I haven’t played a PS4 game since mainly because I don’t want the small trophy icons to mix in with the PS5’s bigger tiles, first world problems

Pulling out as theyre going to join the Playstation Showcase and show off the Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid remakes there instead since they're PS5 exclusives

Avengers vs Justice League here we go!!

Apparently they were inspired by FFXV, and it shows with some of the battle sequences and the fact the main character looks a lot like Noctis

No doubt this will be a ps plus PS5 game soon

Hopefully will be a straight forward plat, and hopefully the game will be good!!

@Netret0120 I never had an xbox console before either, had Atari's, Sega's, Nintendo's and Playstation's but never a microsoft system, but with gamepass and bethesda and potentially one more big move by M$ would have me definitely considering jumping ship

Hypothetically if Microsoft got their cheque book out and bought Square Enix it would be the final straw for me, I would jump ship to the Xbox, let’s hope Sony buys it or another 3rd party or they stay status quo

Never had this happen to me, but I’ve also never played a ps4 game on my 5 yet either

It actually looks good, that time of year currently looks quiet so may pick it up

I dont get all the doom and gloom, sure Microsoft is owning the airwaves right now, but when it comes down to what matters which is games, Playstation is miles ahead. In the past year we've had Last of Us II, Ghists of Tsushima, Miles Morales, Demon Souks, Astro etc.., and what has xbox put out to compete in that time, nothing. They still havent put out a massive must own game for xbox series yet, and we have several, and with Returnal and Ratchet coming over the next few months we will be golden. Microsoft needs to make these moves, not to get ahead of Sony but just to catch up. Competition is good for everyone. Next Sony press conference i guarantee all will be forgiven

Start the week with bad news end with good news?

Hope PlayStation has locked down another exclusive deal, haven’t played Death Stranding yet, hanging out for a hopeful PS5 version

Probably go the same way as EAs Rocket Arena, will be on plus in couple of months

The first one of these was an indie fest, can’t remember the second one but I wouldn’t expect any ‘big’ news to come from this

2022 could be a busy year for games, I’m not too worried though, still have FFVIIRI, Returnal, R&C, Horizon 2, Scarlet Nexus, REVIII, Deathloop etc,.. to look forward to this year, and my PS5 backlog is growing already

@NEStalgia I’m glad they did cancel the DLC, I read the novel and they changed the ending dramatically and made all the end chapters mute, changed the story for the worst, the whole heroes fighting against fate trope that FF seems to roll with lately

I so thought the main character was going to be Agni from the tech demo a few years ago so surprised that it wasn’t. Looks good, also seems like they may have used some of XVs assets

I usually try find fellow trophy hunters to boost with, especially Ubisoft games which always have that annoying couple of coop trophies

@nessisonett yep, to learn the true ending of FFXV you need to read a novel, the game was a mess with all the patches and dlc

For me Square Enix is shooting themselves in the foot with all their demos, while it’s great at least one major publisher is still doing demos and it’s something I wish others would adopt, it’s definitely hurting sales from me. After playing Avengers beta, outriders demo and Balan Wonderworld demo it has definitely put me off buying any of them, which I guess is a good thing, thanks Square

Shame they didn’t turn this more into a Japanese state of play, could of included titles like Scarlet Nexus, GT7 and maybe another look at FFXVI

The size of Yakuza 7 is great, not too big and doesn't take long to run somewhere, but i also like the size of GTAV, its a good size playground for the toys you get.
Its the likes of Ubisofts open world's that can be such a chore, they seem to think big is better but there worlds are quite empty and repetitive, like in AC Odyssey, you saw one island in that game you've seen them all.

I picked up yakuza 7 on PS5, was humming and hurring between this and Assassins Creed Valhalla. Glad I did, just finished chapter 2, it’s scratching a lot of itches, namely felt like a jrpg, and as a sega boy at heart it’s great for that nostalgia feeling. So far 9/10

Thought they would of saved this for SOP, obviously won’t be shown there

@Playstation I’m thinking March, they are sending out Kena goody bags to journalists etc... right now, I’m thinking reveal at SoP of release date and ps plus game

@Eadgar Bugsnax was available for two months from November yet they still released Worms Rumble beside it in December

I think Maquette from Annapurna Interactive has a high chance to be the PS4/5 game, reminds me of something that Sony would put on psplus, a puzzle walking simulator, comes out same day on March 2nd.

The other one that is could be is Kena: Bridge of Spirits, it’s pencilled in for a March release and I’m sure Sony took note of the great reception it got from the PS5 showcase so this could be a great surprise.

Other PS5 titles that would be cool to see are Haven or The Pathless

As much as I would love to hear some big news soon as it’s been a while since the showcase in September I think Sony (aside from maybe Ubisoft) has been the most active publisher. We’ve just had PlayStation Studios release Destruction Allstars and the next few months we will have from them Returnal, MLB 21 and Rift Apart, and on top of that Sony published Nioh Remastered, their output is better than most others. I think 2021 will definitely see the industry impacted by COVID more than last year and it will be a light year for AAA

I have a strong suspicion that we will be getting The Pedestrian for a ps5/4 game. All January PS5 releases that have dates are to late in the month, this game is the only release slated with no specific January date. Also The Pedestrian was featured on the Playstation blog as well as a state of play
