So everything that you pay the extra $60 for ultimately has a relatively short expiry date & will leave the service?
I assumed if you bought premium, that all the games in the library worked the same way the monthly games do where once you download them you effectively own them, and can play the at anytime as long as you're subscribed still.
Games like RDR2 aren't something you rush through, especially with the online component... You come back to it over the months/years
I don't even know if I care about gamepass or want the equivalent on Playstation tbh
I'm not sure what I want the service to be.
If they gave you free Tidal hifi subscription as part of the premium tier then I would subscribe, especially if they made a tidal app for the console.
But outside of longer game demos for ALL new releases bit some cherry picked ones I'm not sure what else I'd pay more money for.
The only game two games Xbox has that I want are the next Elder Scrolls, &the next Hollow Knight. Both of those I'm salty we won't have, & might not ever have...but I wouldn't buy an Xbox purely for those.
I'd rather see Sony go and acquire capcom, square Enix, & maybe FromSoft & basically lock up a bunch of the best developers so we can have even more amazing 1st party games tbh.
Anyone that believes this response from EA is a clown tbh. They have to make a statement like this, they're not going to admit it's a failure ever, or until they're on to the next game 5 years from now & it's a "success" so they're not even remotely dependant on any money from 2042.
This game is utter trash, it's a complete and utter failure & yet another example of "get woke go broke". Who would've thought putting more effort into a pandering character & her ***** pronouns, instead of actually putting effort into making a game that the fans wanted, who could've possibly imagined that would backfire.
All of the actual fans of the franchise basically ditched it after the BFV debacle, & now we're playing other games until they make a quality BF3/BF4 era level of game without the woke *****.
Looking forward to this, I didn't play Cyberpunk until the PS5 version came out & it was great imo. Heavily flawed, but I can overlook technical flaws when there's a certain amount of IT factor in a game.
Cyberpunk has it.
That world is great, it's not perfect by any means, but Night City just feels different than other open world games, & the story was a cool idea that I kinda liked.
The absolute worst part of the game for me was Keanu Reeves being in it. He's such a completely mediocre actor that you could replace with a plank of wood tbh, & just comes across as try hard as *****. I wanted that dude gone from day 1, I'll never understand why he was cast because he's a terrible actor.
Anyway, less Keanu, more Pam & more content & it's an instant buy for me
Man I'm glad they're going back to the golden egg.
Cyberpunk was actually a really cool game if you have it a chance, & had a lot of awesome things going for it, with massive improvements since Witcher 3.
I just hope they get the next Witcher right & don't ***** it up... No ***** American identity politics, no blatant tokenism, be true to the franchise & get it right.
For a game like GT, I don't know how I feel about microtransactions or the obvious push towards then.
I'll never buy in game currency, because it's simply not needed & if there's any money glitches I'll just do those instead.
But if you're Polyphony, you get money from the sale of the game for the next year or two, before that dramatically falls off in the following years & then what? No other income from the game? Yet you're expected to pump out updates & have the cost of people working on this game for the next 5 years?
And it's not like the audience for this game is massive like a GTA audience or something... Gran Turismo has always been more niche. A big deal for us Europeans, but doesn't sell anywhere near as well elsewhere & even in Europe it's not as popular as the big releases because it's the nature of what it is... A racing game.
So how are they supposed to make money to ensure they have enough for development on this game for the coming years & development on potentially a new game in 7 years or whatever.
What's a good way for them to generate revenue outside of diminishing sales over time?
5/10 at best, 8/10 is just the extra points all the journos will give because they're afraid to give a bad score for a GTA game.
It's the same exact game it's always been, slowly devolving over the years into the lazy explosion happy trash it is now
Ever since Benzies and his guys left, Rockstar has gone downhill.
The PS5 version is just 60fps & a different pause menu, not worth paying anything for (if you were going to rebuy the full version). Just save your money & put it towards Elden ring, or GT7 or some toilet paper that'd be more useful than wasting it on this disgraceful, lazy "enhanced and expanded" version.
@Shredderlovespizza I've lived and worked in 7 different countres & by the end of this year it will be 8, I likely know a lot more about reality & talking to real people than you do, consider I've had to adapt to 6 different cultures so far, & complete changes of lifestyles not to mention the overwhelming difficulty of moving across the world, making new friends, finding new work etc... Try moving country one time, without having a job waiting for you or a place to live, or knowing anyone & then tell me all about life... & Then do it a whole bunch more.
Whether it's a game or not makes no ***** difference. The simple psychological truth is that how you approach difficulty is the same & often similar under all circumstances. Just because something's a game, doesn't mean you don't approach problems in the same way.
The fact that you would look for an easy mode, absolutely legitimises the idea that you would avoid difficulty & only look for the comfort zone easy things in other areas of your life too ..
& I'm going to call it right now, you've never beaten a souls game in your life, or any difficult game for that matter, AND if by a miracle you have its because you 100% used soul duping exploits, or flat out got carried through every zone by 2-3 co-op players. Don't try to ***** & lie on here because you don't have to prove it, the very fact you were calling for an easy mode, plus the response you have exposes they you've never beaten a single one of these games by yourself, & we all know it
Piss off back to Call of Duty where the game can aim for you & you can go believe you're a "skilled human being" at something. Ignored
@Shredderlovespizza there's an obvious argument against it. Its his game, he can do whatever the hell he wants & doesn't have to put training wheels on it for anyone that is too dumb to play it well or adapt.
There's absolutely nothing that states he has to put multiple difficulty options in there, that's just a whining expectation from you because of your own deficiencies as a human being.
Like I said before, my own personal opinion is simple... If they were to ever add an easy mode, then they need to disable trophies/achievements for that mode. Make it a clear choice you have to make between learning to adapt like everyone else, or not getting any rewards for playing the dumbed down version.
I often wonder what people are like in real life that cry about no easy modes in games... People that adverse to challenge & difficulty must be living lives of either utter failure, or absolute mediocrity because real life doesn't let you succeed while simultaneously being so mental weak & unable to adapt ..at least in most situations.
There's 1000s of other games that have easy mode, and cluttered UIs...go play those instead. Better yet, My Little Pony might be more suitable for you.
Absolutely not, they should never add an official easy mode to this game.
They already have easy modes, it's called using magic or overlevelling for bosses.
Outside of that don't let some insecure, incompetent whiners ruing a game for the rest of us.
The only way I would be ok with an easy mode in these games, is it completely disabled trophies while active, & that you had to launch an entirely new game from normal mode to get any trophies.
If you want a baby mode, you don't deserve to have trophies as well.
The beauty of these games, apart from the absolute masterful world building & lore, is that they make you work for it & don't hold your hand all the way through like some lesser games such as AC franchise or Horizon.
There's hundreds of mediocre games that have quest logs, constant directions & reminders, & babying mechanics, thank god we have a few that stick to their guns & don't be the same as everyone else.
The respect I have for FromSoft goes through the roof whenever Miyazaki says things like this & doesn't let the pathetic whiners sway him into ruining something that his true fanbase has loved for decades.
The biggest thing they needed at launch for GT7 was a minimum of 5 weekly races as opposed to 3 for sport mode.
They call then dailies, but they traditionally rotate weekly, so unless theyve actually swapped then to daily rotations (which would be ridiculous giving people no time to acclimatise to the combo & set good times)...then it'll be the same stale situation as GT Sport.
Plus with the addition of tuning in sport mode & the crazy variation that adds... They definitely could've thrown in two extra "no tuning, BoP" races
@ATaco Just ***** talk tbh, over a sustained period of time in responses to replies on PSN messages & then I'd get reported. Poor discipline responding to clowns pretty much & PSN these days hand out bans & warnings for almost anything that can be deemed abusive, which is basically anything.
@ApostateMage sad to say it looks like it'll be an empty achievement From the state of play, there was a moment where the guy gets gold & he's making all kinds of small mistakes that cost tonnes of time...
I think they'll probably be extremely low skill barrier for all gold again, just like GT Sport, basically making it a non-achievement.
I wanted the multiplayer trophies again for race wins/pole positions & races entered The only thing I didn't want was the absolutely garbage level 50 grind.
I was level 49 when I got permabanned so I never bothered to restart. My Kudsoprine was WildFireR2 so you can see race stats, getting wins/poles was not a problem at all, especially if it was a good track combo for the week & you could lay down a solid qualifying time.
I really hope the Gold license are a worthy challenge, in the old games they were tough but not that unobtainable. It felt good Golding them all but in GT Sport they were an embarrassment. Way too easy & clearly just turning it into a participation award.
Hopefully they're more challenging this time, it takes away from the experience when the difficulty is drastically lowered for people imo.
I'd prefer to see more skill orientated trophies instead of just time consuming. Time consuming is often mindless & low skill, whereas at least skill requirements actually demand something of you but don't require you to sink your life into them.
If there's going to be a premium PS+ then there needs to be options that actually benefit people who subscribe from many brackets.
I don't have PS Now, because it's frankly a garbage service that only ever uploads mediocre games or 1st party games that are super old now. I've never considered PS Now worth the subscription so there's no way I'd upgrade a PS+ to have that shoddy service
As for crunchyroll benefits, I don't watch anime at all, so that would be a pointless thing for me.
If there's going to be things that make PS+ worth it then it needs to be things like far better games, or early access to some games. Maybe some better in-game benefits such as cosmetics or shortcut packs idk but then there's a whole thing of games becoming P2W.
Definitely some kind of Netflix or Spotify, or preferably Tidal HiFi subscription and app support.
If not that, then at least let us have cloud storage for all accounts on the console as long as one account is subscribed. Currently I can't do cloud saves, or access cloud saves on alt accounts unless each account is subscribed to PS+ which is ridiculous. It needs to be more like Amazon household in that regard.
& If none of that, then I have no idea.
For PS+ premium options to be worth it, they have to find ways to either benefit the other services we use, or give us in game benefits, or benefit our pockets with other services, otherwise forget it.
Most of us don't give a ***** about anime, or PS Now.
I honestly don't care one bit about Starfield, never did, and the same goes for Fallout and most of the other Bethesda games...
But TES6? That's life right there... I genuinely hope something can be worked out with TES 6, even if it's timed exclusive I'll take that.
I'm on PS5, and if they do us dirty and keep TES6 as a full exclusive forever then that's that for that franchise as far as I'm concerned, I won't chase it around on different systems, but man that'll suck.
