Re: Feature: Is EA Access Worth It on PS4?

ZeD

When you compare to the offerings on the Xbox One, no it is not worth it.
With how they added a few EA games to PS Now, I honestly thought they would come up with a way to allow EA Access members to stream those games only from the Now catalog.

@kyleforrester87 that is a fair point and like with everything (gaas, f2p etc) we as gamers usually get use to it and end up liking it.
We have XCloud around the corner which could offer new games like Stadia and Sony have already spoke about ramping up their PSNow service over the coming year.
Atm the quality is what is holding back Now but with the new partnership with Azure, it could change.
Witb PSNow being the only streaming service I have used I am just sceptical about the 4K 60fps they are promising on Stadia. It may be amazing and I may be wrong.
I do like the idea of being able to picm up and play a game where ever I am. Maybe this is the future we are heading too?

@Stragen8 chuck a few f2p games on there like Fortnite and it will be a success overnight 😁

@3MonthBeef what?! I remember the backlash of the xbox one always being online.
What happens if I have no Internet access, I cannot access my games.
Or what happens if the servers go down, like the other day?
I understand how this is pushing the idea of playing anywhere forward but the worlds Internet infrastructure is not ready.
It is not for everyone.

Re: Sony Doesn't Think It Talked About PS Now Enough

ZeD

It is a good service but they post a single blog entry a month with no reply from the blog staff.
You cannot talk to anyone about it. Heck, even if you ask the support team for help they have no idea what to do regarding PS Now
They need to take a page of GamePass book with their Twitter account. The communicate with the gamers, post teasers and just have general fun.

This is what Sony needs to do. They ran a promotion earlier this year where if you signed up for Now, you got it at £8.99 a month for 12 months. This was advertised ONLY inside the App. They are idiots sometimes

It is a difficult one to judge because yes, the value of these "free" games is greater than the cost of the subscription for a month, but on the other hand when see that they dropped the selection down to 2 from 6, it is a bit of a p**s take.
These two games are very good offering but they have been reduced in price many times in the past and there are still a few 1st party games they have not given away yet...

@johncalmc bang on the point!

Good review @get2sammyb
With my huge back log I think I will be picking this up later in the year, still yet to get past the first Act in RDR2!
Now I am just waiting for all the articles on the web about how single player games are dead in the water because of the average reviews for Days Gone 🤣

Re: Talking Point: PS Now's Delivering Our Streaming Future, So Why Is Sony the Underdog?

ZeD

Also, Sony really are not pushing the service, as in advertising. Did any of you know that during the 1st 2 weeks of Feb, if you signed up, you got a monthly price of £8.99 for 12 months? No? It is because it was advertised WITHIN the app itself! Silly really.
Not many news sites even report about it. Even here, I have only seen a hand full of articles about the service and they update it ever month!
