Re: Soapbox: Spending My Christmas with PlayStation VR

ZeD

I got he VR Unit for Xmas and I am loving it! I was quite skeptical of it for a while as I thought the experience I received at demo units did not match what people described.
What I found out is that the demo units I tried were not set up correctly for me. They throw the head set on, place the headphones on and throw a controller at you.
Now I have it, I spend a good 10 minutes setting everything up and found that the headset is best for me with the head band quite high up.

So far my favorite experience has got to be feeling like a giant in Astro Bots. So surreal!

Re: Poll: One Week Later, Is Spider-Man PS4 as Good as the Reviews Say?

ZeD

@DanM near the end when you need some info from an apartment block, I was shouting at the TV "no" when MJ told you that she could find a way in. But to be honest, this MJ mission is the one where you get the stun gun and man, it improves it so much!

I am surprised no one has brought up the load screens in the comments. I felt they ruined the pacing especially the brief load between entering an area and starting a mission. I would have loved to be able to swing straight into some missions - I know this would not be possible with some as Pete likes to scout the area first.
May be because I have recently finished God of War but it did spoil it a little for me.

Re: Soapbox: PS Vita's Longevity Has Been Quite Remarkable

ZeD

I still have my day one vita sitting on my desk as I type. Fantastic console, just not supported by Sony. Shame.
With Sony's track record with the Move and Vita, this is one reason why I will not invest money in the VR (at the moment, that is before people start hating ).

As for the WiiU @get2sammyb, Nintendo have a track record of forgetting about past consoles the moment a new one comes out. The only time they look in the past is the countless re-releases of Super Mario Bro!

Re: Review: Moss (PS4)

ZeD

Great review but I still struggle to see why this is a VR game. Don't get me wrong the game looks great and I can sort of understand what the sense of 3D can add but I am still not sold on the idea, especially for this game.

On a side note before any one jumps in; I am not a hater of the VR, I just wish that some games had the option for both VR & Non-VR as the pay wall is quite high with this

Re: Review: Metal Gear Survive (PS4)

ZeD

@Flaming_Kaiser how dare you not like a specific genre or being online or paying for save slots! 😂

Each to their own. Gotta love the Internet and being told your opinion is wrong lol

I'll probably give this a go later in the year once I've killed my back log. Launch price of £20, will soon be £5.

@CallMeAl how is the open world? Plenty to do between travelling?

@McGuit I don't want to link to another site but just Google search it.

Good review but don't agree with score tbh. Currently better than The Impatient and I would rather play that, if I had a VR.

@Splat yeah this score cannot be right.

Re: Soapbox: I Miss the Mystery of Video Games

ZeD

I remember finding Katamari like this. Sitting on break in my college job flicking through a PS2 magazine and stumbling across the game. People will say that there are too many games now but it is just because we now have access to view them all unlike in the past where only the big titles got all the attention. Plus gaming was not as mainstream as it is these days (god I sound old)

Re: Guide: The Best PS4 Co-Op Games

ZeD

@get2sammyb Maybe you should have noted which ones are online only as I am currently looking for a local co op to play with a friend and got excited thinking Uncharted 4 had been updated! :/

Re: Talking Point: Could Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass Model Work on PS4?

ZeD

@get2sammyb This is my worry with services like this (including PS Now). You could invest a lot of time into a game, not complete it and it gets removed from the services. You could have sunk, lets say 4 months in at £12.99 (Now Price) and when it gets removed you have to buy it to complete it. Nearly £52 spent! Might as well buy it! I think it would be similar for Game Pass

Re: Review: The Inpatient (PS4)

ZeD

Is this VR only? And if so why? From what I have seen this is another game that could be a PS4 game with optional VR Support if your have the PSVR.
Until Dawn is one of my favorite games and it is a shame I cannot get more out of the world due to lack of hardware

EDIT: Might check some Let's Plays out YouTube thinking about it
