@naruball People definitely underestimate the nostalgia factor, which is a shame for the devs who pour their heart into the likes of Crash 4(which I maintain is the best Crash game; having been a fan from the original). Me and group of my mates love the FF7 remake, but mainly on nostalgia, otherwise, it'd be anime nonsense i would've ignored probably.

@Cordyceps You really didn't like FF16 did you? Square are still releasing turn-based games, Octopath 2, Bravely Default 2 just to name two recent-ish ones. Don't get me wrong, plenty about Suqare annoys me too, but they are still making decent games. I'm also all for remasters of Xenogears, chrono trigger and Final Fantasy Tactics, if they are creatively bankrupt then i'll eat up the re-releases like a good boy.

Sega won't sell to Microsoft unless they go tits up, which i doubt considering the huge franchises they own. Maybe i'm being naive but I just can't see a huge Japanese third party selling to Microsoft, makes no sense in the long run.

People are also saying 'Well Microsoft helped SEGA when Sony crushed their console business!!!!" Eh? Theres no Sentimentality in business; that's naive.

The Master System versions of Sonic 1 and 2 are great, i still play them even today. The Game Gear versions aren't as good, especially Sonic 2

that number includes the hunts, which are technically side-quests/optional content. That brings it over 100.

There's been a bunch of rumours about this actually happening btw. Strange that this should appear shortly after. We're gonna keep gonna getting remakes for the forseeable, wouldn't be surprised if some get announced at Nintendos direct today.

Extra is far more attractive to me because i'm always at least a year behind the new releases anyway, I genuinely think the selecton of games is better.

There are exceptions to this rule though and it's name is FF16. (it comes out two days before my bday, so lucky me)

I do also have a gamepass subscription, but that's for exclusive content and a different variety of games.I did day one Planet of Lana recently, which is quite unlike me.

Yeah, there was absolutely no chance this was ever gonna be exclusive to Xbox, despite the money Microsoft have I'd be surprised if an Atlus RPG is ever exclusive to an American console. The fee Microsoft would have to pay would be astronomical.

In saying that it's embargoes like this that make you wonder how much money Microsoft is willing to waste.

Yep, i've already seen and played enough to know this is going to be a good game. The demo exceeded my expectations. What i will say is i feel like the parry mechanic and maybe the dodge need a bit of a fine tune. I'm sure it'll come out very polished by September

@NEStalgia Theres like 3 or swears in the demo. People complaining about bad language....sorry that's just bizarre to me. I mean if it was every two sentences i would understand, because then the script would suck, but this game, at least in the early hours has a decent script, nowhere close to Forspoken.

@dschons Yeah i was gonna say the same. Sony have plenty on the backburner, they just either chose not to show it, or it wasn't ready. It's a poorly kept secret that Santa Monica are working on a new Sci-fi IP single player. As for Naughty Dog, the rumours say a new IP set in a fantasy setting and possibly The last Of Us 3.

After today, I'm planning on picking up a 1tb series s when the xbox exclusives begin to drop, and i'm not worried about Playstation lacking good 1st party stuff. We must be patient.

It's definitely coming to Playstation, everything at the Xbox showcase that didn't have Xbox game studios before the trailer is coming to PS. more or less

Yeah it wasn't a particularly exciting state of play, but it wasn't too bad. Looking forward to Resi 4 and the Extra games, It's a shame that Suicide Squad is Live service though, that genuinely turns me off the game. Rocksteady are the ones who've fumbled in my opinion. Also thought the last Nintendo direct sucked. Waves and waves of DLC to the point of parody, more JRPG ports, then they ended with Zelda for the 2nd direct running.

@Bentleyma I love Wild Arms 2, it's a nostalgia game for me, plus.....i don't think it's ever been officialy released in Europe before! Xenogears next please in that case!

Stupidly good month. Especially for lovers of classic JRPGs! People will be losing their minds over Legend of Dragoon. The PS1 games have had quality of life functions added to them as well. Maybe Sony is starting to work on these ps1 games???

I thought it had been quite easy to buy them directly from Sony for a while? I got a tax return back in June and went on to the Sony Playstation site and but one with zero fuss. Maybe i was lucky? the reason i went straight there is because my friends had been saying there was usually stock now, and that was back then.

@LifeGirl Fair enough if the PS4 suits your needs, but the jump in fidelity and frame rate is night and day, and i don't usually bother with that kind of stuff. My PS4 was loud, slow and ran cross gen games quite badly in comparison. The games will improve over time as well. Not sure about your situation but this sounds like sour grapes to me.

I must be lucky because whenever I streamed ps3 games on psnow they worked almost perfectly. Played through Darksiders, All the Batman Arkham games and many more.

All i hear is how ***** it is and it worked fine for me.

On the other hand i'd still prefer to download them. If we can't download them, i'll get over it.

@carlos82 My laptop is about as powerful as a base ps4 and it can run ps3 games better than a ps3. It's not that Sony can't do it, they just obviously don't want to spend the money. Doesn't bother me tbh, but them not being able to do it is certainly internet myth making at it's finest.

Although i agree that a week is a bit tight, the majority of the scored reviews DID finish the game. I don't understand why people get so annoyed if a game gets rated well. Contrarian human nature? That goes for a lot of you on here. I'm sure the unscored reviews will be mainly 9s when all is said and done.

The technical issues will be fixed i hope.

It's funny how scores seem to mean more than the actual content of the review. I wish we could just dispense of them.

@Porco The comparison videos i seen actually said the PS4 version is the most stable framerate-wise. Although 30fps obviously It runs really well (also without day one patch)

I've played all the main series and lost legacy quite recently, my order would be

4, lost legacy, 3 , 2 , 1

*****, just for the record, I have gamepass, it's still ***** annoying though. Especially regular posters posting first in every comment section saying ' oh I'll play it on gamepass' boring bampot stuff mate
