How did GTA IV suddenly become the redheaded stepchild???

@Squanch I've always said, that health permitted, I will be playing videogames into my 60's-70's. But this (streaming-only games) would definitely bring a much sooner end to me as a gamer.

Crash Team Racing, DriveClub, Watch Dogs 2.

RDR would have been included, but I hardly played it, fittingly, due in large part because of how sluggish the game played ...

Had been waiting for the Tokyo Olympics game to drop in price (definitely not worth a full 40 bones) so that the wife & I have another competitive game to play with each other. Good timing

@W0rl0ck I really liked it. I had the 2019 game previously. It got me into playing golf for a couple months, until I accepted I was no good at it. Therefore I am far from a golf enthusiast. But I really like the swing mechanic in the game.

Already own PGA2K21. MKX is already in the PS+ Collection ...

@sketchturner DriveClub was amazing, graphically stunning compared to GT Sport, despite the lower res. And it was incredibly fun even though it wasn't a deep game. Ride 4 handles like a nightmare, and scares off 80% of people for how unforgiving it was.

I mention this in every firmware update article on this site --- VRR, to fix the screen tearing on the PS5 ...

I like that creator's (Joy of Gaming) videos.

But I wonder if he is enhancing his gameplay videos a bit.🤔 I've seen some videos of his of GT Sport, and DriveClub, and they look super, super sharp — sharper than they do when I boot it up on my PS5. Particularly DriveClub, which on my console, looks every bit of 1080p as it is supposed to look. And I have an 8K-capable TV, so it can upscale...

I saw this video last weekend, and was impressed so much, that I re-downloaded the game after buying/deleting it earlier this year... Aaaaaaaaaand, the game still stinks. The absolute worst game controls/handling I have ever experienced in any game. And still the worst purchase I have ever made in gaming — eclipsing Madden 19...and that's saying A LOT.

Needless to say, I should have listened to Push Square's review of this game and avoided it — Lesson learned.

@Northern_munkey $400 - $500, or more, for a new GPU = the cost of a new next-gen console itself. No thanks. And my money is good to afford building a gaming PC; just has never seemed like an efficient utilization of gaming money whatsover...not when you'll need to upgrade it (not to mention other components) every few years to keep up with the latest games...

VRR, and folders, next, pls. Until the PS5, never thought I would have to deal with screen tearing in my console videogames...

@SpartaRulz That really stinks. Do you at least have the option to turn off 3D audio for TV speakers? At least until they can get it patched...

@SJBUK I hope you're right! I'll be thrilled to see it come out this calendar year. 1 year out from the PS5 release isn't super, but I feel is still acceptable.

@zebric21 I believe BowTies is saying that he does get HDR & 120fps, it's just that the HDR is lower quality in the lower transfer rate modes ...

@BowTiesAreCool Yeah, I believe the problem is the PS5, and either it's own hardware limitations, or it's lack of proper software. My TV (2019 Samsung Q900R) apparently doesn't suffer the same annoying graphical problems for Xbox Series X users that it does for PS5 users...

@BowTiesAreCool Agreed. VRR has been an even a higher priority than the SSD for me. Question though — You aren't able to have HDR when you switch your 4k video transfer rate to -1 or -2? I thought it should still retain HDR in those modes, I thought that was a fix back in the early Spring...

@Nexozi It's majorly annoying. I don't have WRC, but I do have F1 2021, and the screen tearing is horrible. What adds to the frustration is (for my Samsung TV), I have to run my PS5 4K video transfer mode on Automatic in order to get 4k120fps. But then need to switch it back to -1 whenever I want to play other games to eliminate the screen tearing in those games...

@AFCC It's not (it's more than fast enough). In fact, the PS5 system architect Mark Cerny himself promotes this drive as the one he is personally using in his PS5. Check YouTube for speed comparisons. In particular a video maker named NASCompares

@zebric21 This. It's been one of my most wanted features from the beginning. The screen tearing of PS5 games in the various 4K video transfer modes is ridiculous.

I did like Forspoken, Uncharted Remastered (depending on if it's a free upgrade), and GT7. Ghostwire Tokyo looks interesting...

An MGS1 Remake and nothing else would have made for an amazing presentation. Guess I have to keep hoping...

@HotGoomba people said Returnal looked repetitive, and that turned out pretty good IMO. It's on a short list of games that I'm looking forward to.
