Re: Uncharted Movie Plunders Netflix from 15th July

I think the movie has been good enough if we are talking about action and atmosphere as they are, but the cast… The cast is awful.

Tom Holland doesn’t look and act like Nathan in the video games. What about Sully… What have they rewritten his character for? What were they thinking? I dunno. It’s awful.

Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland are good actors, but they played other characters — not Victor and Nathan.

Re: Evil West Gameplay Looks Like God of War with Guns

It looks fairly interesting. I like line-up video games because almost all of them are much better than the dead open world nature created by Ubisoft and some other companies.

But you should have warned it’s all about the modern God of War. Honestly I waited to see something like Dante’s Inferno but about the Wild West and vampires.

Re: Sonic Origins Overview Video Details Game Modes in PS5, PS4 Retro Collection

Honestly I’ve been tired of counting how many there were Sonic’s remasters through the years on different platforms. I guess SEGA ought to concentrate its powers on making some new perfect games rather than trying to reopen the big old dust game box again.

Yes, Yes, I know about the existence of Sonic Frontier, but I doubt the game might be perfect.

@Boxmonkey

There were plenty of such situations. For instance, I can remember how LucasArts showed the new Indiana Jones tech-demo during the middle of 00s, but in the end it hadn’t been created as a game.

@IonSur

Unfortunately it’s the main factor in the ideal world where plenty of gamers are ready to try something new. Usually publishers choose games that are known to a wide audience.

In addition, it doesn’t matter whether a gamer played the concrete project or not. It’s more important if they heard something about the one or not. That’s why publishers don’t hurry up to re-releases unknown games.

If you look at the modern market, you won't see a lot of unknown projects that were refurbished to be released on modern systems.

It isn’t good of course, but we have what we have. What about me? I like trying something new.

To my mind, it isn't a good idea to create a remaster of the game which wasn’t published outside Japan before. The main factor for such projects is gamers’ nostalgia, but it’s hard to feel something like that in a game you’ve never seen. The game you didn’t get any opportunity to play.

If Sony or any other publisher made a remaster of the Syphon Filter trilogy, I would be the first in the line to buy it, but this one… No, thanks.

Re: Forgotten Multiplayer Spin-Off Resident Evil Re:Verse Gobbles a Green Herb on 28th October

gotDvamp

Every time I read something about multiplayer spin-offs, I remember the two games for PS2 called Outbreak.

It wasn't a perfect series, but file one and file two had the cool idea to allow gamers to play as ordinary people, not bad-ass cops or that kind of stuff.

Every character had their unique ability. It was interesting. Unfortunately PS2 wasn’t able to afford to show the idea how it deserved. So I hope we’ll have remakes sooner or later.

Re: Resident Evil 4 Remake Gameplay Reveals a Pretty Big Mechanical Change from the Original

@Gamer83

As I can see , the choice to have such a camera angle depended on the technical side of developing games back in the 90s.

By the way, I knew plenty of RE fans who said the camera angle forced the original trilogy (plus Code Veronica, Remake and Zero) to be like movies and other kinds of things. It was a popular subject on old forums .

What about the control scheme, I agree with you. The scheme from the modern remakes is perfect.

Re: Resident Evil 4 Remake Gameplay Reveals a Pretty Big Mechanical Change from the Original

@Gamer83

It’s a controversial subject. Back in the 90s, there wasn't a common control scheme for all games like it is now.

Today we’ve got used to moving a game character using the left stick and controlling the camera with the right stick, but this scheme appeared, as an industrial standard, in the 00s.

In the 90s developers chose their own path for every title. As a result almost all 3D games were controlled like crap. That’s why Resident Evil didn’t look awful with its tank scheme.

Re: Dragon's Dogma 10th Anniversary Event Announced for This Week

gotDvamp

It doesn’t seem Capcom is going to reveal the next game during the event, but we might have the remake of the original one.

The publisher loves to create some new games based on the previous IP. We’ve already seen Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, so maybe the time of Dragon’s Dogma is coming.

What about the original game, it was a very strange project which didn’t look like a typical western rpg, but at the same time it wasn't a jrpg.

Re: The Quarry (PS5) - Maybe Until Dawn Was Just a Fluke

gotDvamp

Oh, I’m not surprised by such a score and the conclusion. Supermassive has always been able to create a strong narrative, portray some interesting heroes, but gameplay of its games… was always average.

It’s true even if we are talking about Until Dawn. There was entertainment plot, interesting heroes, but gameplay and camera — both of them might have been better.

Re: Diablo 4 Will Be a Full Price Release with Premium Cosmetic Items and Expansions

gotDvamp

Yeah, Blizzard, it’s the absolutely right decision. People, who’ve already paid for the game, need to have as many microtransactions as possible.

Give us plenty of commercial stuff like armour, swords etc. oh, to be frank, it looks like damn ***** to pay extra money for nothing.

Scientists, please, create a time machine to go back in time, to an era when games were just games, but not services.

Re: The Suicide Squad Trailer Has Fans Thinking About Sunset Overdrive

gotDvamp

in my opinion, It’s strange logic. What are similar between both Suiside Squad and Sunset Overdrive? There are much game with colorful world in game industry. So if we will go through that logic we will able to say that new game by Rocksteady and, for example, Jet Set Radio are siblings.

I don’t know. It’s strange logic but I’d like to take Sunset Overdrive for PS4. We have already got Cuphead so why not? I suppose the reason why Sony don’t launch that game is it’s ex Xbox exclusive.
