Re: Review: SOMA (PS4)

I'm going to give it a try,was hoping it would be very scary but it seems decent enough anyway..i love games with a good bit of atmos, which it clearly does have.

Re: First Impressions: Destiny: The Taken King PS4 Marks a Clear Improvement

special_donky

I get ocd about the lack of options in games..can the music be turned off in destiny now? if not then deffo no sale. The same little issue has stopped me from getting the new Mgs..(probably grab that one at some point though) I can't believe in this day and age a lack of such basic options..Lack of options is a terrible thing,Although the worst culprit recently i must say has to be Techland, but thats another topic.

Re: Need for Speed PS4 Leaves Microtransactions in the Showroom

special_donky

@themcnoisy "No DLC or Microtransactions is a huge selling point" Yep,I like that very much.(plus its looks like there will be free dlc) 30 fps/always online not so much..Devs eh? If it was my choice,Like many others - I'd go for framerate over resolution any day of the week -Maybe Ea will learn about this one day.I guess its difficult with that shiny looking open world..

Re: Round Up: PES 2016: Pro Evolution Soccer PS4 Reviews Hit the Back of the Net

special_donky

The thing with Pes for me imo is - Less content, and Extra rubber banding..Hitting the wood work repeatedly ect in a short game isn't good playability.I see Fifa more as a hybrid of a manager game/football playing game. Can't deny Pes 16 feels more silky to actually play in comparison,However -I'm not convinced the gameplay is properly balanced under the hood compared to Fifa.

Re: First Impressions: Call of Duty: Black Ops III Embraces the Past As It Focuses on the Future

Well,a lean feature would be nice (like ghosts) better grenade throw distance, and i know its a beta but server performance seems pretty laggy - needs work.I didn't obtain rapid fire on any weapons but i've spotted a fair few guys with insanely fast fire rate on their guns (including pistols that aren't machine pistols) Hmm...On the plus side, the wall running and double jumping and sliding are good - It would feel quite flat after aw without those features i think.Lovely underwater with combat i commend personally, not a big deal for most i guess.I wonder how much the beta was a stress-test/opportunity for feedback - rather than basically a demo. It'd be nice if Treyarch could cut down on cheaters this time..Anyhow,suckered in once again for me i spose -I've bought every cod since mw2 and each game (except aw so far) has been traded in/snapped/deleted at some point.

Re: PS4 Exclusive DriveClub Gearing Up for a Big Year

special_donky

All i'd really like is a fix for the weather effects turning off/on going through tunnels (i don't want to see it turn off/on!)...Other than that,i'm a bit overwhelmed with all the extra stuff and things, probably should of got a season pass..The more features added the better i guess.

Re: Review: Zombi (PS4)

special_donky

Ooh,looks not bad then -i'll probably add it to the stupidly large backlog at some point..Not bragging but i seriously need to get through a lot of titles at the moment..Better make some excuses for some free time!

Re: EA Doesn't Think You'd Play a Star Wars Battlefront Single Player Campaign

special_donky

I'm getting tired of Pvp multiplayer shooters these days, anyone can buy a modded controller for the same price as a legit one..Just one example - with little danger of getting banned.Devs can't seem to design balanced pvp gameplay -with certain weapons that are just stupidly op,used by 9/10 players..Terrible input lag,low tick rate -and a whole plethora of glitchy bugs and different issues that -if fixed cause a new issue for each one fixed. On top of that, its addictive leading to more and more frustation while you could be enjoying a nice single player, engaging in the game more the way its meant to be played -(hopefully) play tested for fun and quality.*rant over (mainly referring to battlefield and cod)

Re: Reaction: Sony Delivers the Greatest E3 Press Conference of All Time

special_donky

Well, imho i'm just not that excited by any of sony's offerings this year..Does that make me a bad person? Sorry for having a different taste in games to most of you guys i guess...Doom,Dishonored 2,new Deus Ex,Fallout 4 and Soma is nerdgasm territory as far as i'm concerned,is that weird? Horses for courses i spose..My point is not everyone is a fanboy
or a troll.

Re: PS4 Racer DriveClub Will Be Getting Replays in March

special_donky

Love DC,not really bothered about replays though.i'm a bit rubbish with the super/hyper class cars thus far,so it'd be nice to have some class specific online game modes. Also,i would really like a fix for the precipitation when coming out of tunnels -it doesn't look right,i want to see the rain/snow at the end of the tunnel not just have it turn on after exiting the tunnel.

Re: Review: Dying Light (PlayStation 4)

special_donky

I've hardly played it yet -Due the hud being a bit a intrusive, hoping for a patch for hud options.Techland replied to an email i sent regarding hud options and they said "Thank you for your ideas, we'll pass them to our dev team. Keep in mind that those ideas might not be implemented in our game" fingers crossed,i'm sure the major functionality bugs will ironed out soonish anyway though guys.Patience.

Re: Review: Dying Light (PlayStation 4)

special_donky

@Bad-MuthaAdebisi Yeah,i'd prefer the option to play Mr bad guy in games more. Anyhow,Great game,9/10 or least it would be - if the hud wasn't so intrusive -with no options to remove hud features.hoping hud options are patched in soon as its to immersion breaking for me to enjoy playing it currently.I've been ranting all over the the interweb about this, and i've contacted techland twice with no reply yet.Frustrating.i'll let you guys know if they do reply. At least it put me off turning on my ps4 for a few days so i've missed the latest psn spam attack debacle,so far.Fun

Re: Battlefield Hardline Arrests an Open Beta on PS4 and PS3 Sooner Than You Think

special_donky

I loved bf4 but played it to death, until grenades were ridiculously over nerfed (grenades are my fave) can't stand to even look at it now.I guess hardline's worth a try.I want no "tension" music towards the end of the game more than any other feature.Makes tdm/sdm almost unplayable.especially sdm. Also a smoother 64 player conquest,bf4's was still a little laggy last time i played. And a better knifing mechanic, knifing face to face.
