Feel like I got good kicking from games companies this year for supporting games from day one. Next year is going to be a lot worse for games sales. Why support a game from day one when they are willing to offer discounts of half or a third off within months of the game getting released.
Got it at full price and no regrets. If games companies thought this year was bad next year will be even worse. Now gamers know if they hold off even a month or two then the games are going to drop like stones in price. Pricing games how they have this year with discounting them so quickly will really have a negative impact going forward.
This game had a shaky start but it improves with every update they are really listening to fans and the game you played from day one is very different to the experience you will have now. Not sure the website covered the changes that have been recently made?
Thought I read in the title Infinate Warfare disountinued lol. Its will not be long before they are giving that game away. I read sales were down 50% in the Uk for the latest COD so thats why the price is dropping quick.
Some good deals there and Battlefront season pass is £15.99 which is the best price it has been so far
Over 2000 ratings on the PSN EU store with a rating of 4 stars if the game performs as badly as is made out then the game would not be getting an average of 4 stars.
I have played the game for over 30 hours so have a good grasp of how the game peforms on PS4. The game is playable and none of the players on the severs I am playing on have issues with the performance of the game
Multi platform release makes a lot more sense than keeping it as a Sony exclusive. They did the right thing. Can not say the game interests me never heard of it.
Its short sighted not to have long term revenue from a game. It ensures other games get made. Times have changed since the inception of the game and so have the models to which games are run. They are not forcing anyone to buy these crates its optional. Skill over crates will win a battle any day of the week.
Do the weapons in the crates give any competitive advantage ie are they better than weapons you could earn in game anyway? If not then I do not see the problem. If you can earn the points in game to buy them then you never have to spend money. Its only really the players who are not good who will pay for the crates and they are at a disadvantage anyway.
This plays fine so not sure what digital foundary problem is with the game. The scale of the game is immense and with 70 man servers I can not name another game of this stature or ambition.
@3above I can not see the comparison with no mans sky that was procederly generated, single player and made false promises. This game is none of those things.
I never heard of the term dudebro I think I am out of touch with some aspects of gaming.
The thing with gaming you have games like Destiny, Divison. ESO and they soak up so mch time there is no time for other games. I have bought Xcom2 Watch Dogs 2, Dragon Quest Builders and a few others not even touched them yet. Because I am playing other game which I feel really invested in and do not want to leave. So now even when I see a good deal (which I think this is) I am cautious to buy another game. I bought Battleborn for £20 thought that was a good deal now you can get it for £5 new.
I am suprised how well the game runs considering the size of the maps and 70 players on each server. But saying that the lag was terrible last night which made the game very hard to play. If anyone is on the fence regarding this game they should definatly buy it so much fun and also very brutal no holding hands showing you how to do something. Bookmarking of servers does not work as well but thats only a minor niggle.
The movie side of the business makes some really terrible movies and not terrible ones that people go and actually see ones that just bomb. The more sony splits its business into seperate parts the better. The TV side have made some good programs though.
I was going to buy something playstation related from Itsy then I saw the postal charges which were very expensive. Adding to the list you can get mugs and coaster with the playstation logos from sainsburies. There is a decent japanese playstation tshirt at Game £15. The Playstation One bag is great you can get that from Ebay abot £25.
One big annoyance is that they closed down the official playstation EU store. I really would not trust that the playstation branded clothes/bags etc are not fakes from Ebay.
Tattoo's are a good way to express yourself. Some of the body art is amazing to look at. But for every great tattoo there are some truly awful ones. Not just the fault of the person who requested them but the artists who inked them. If you find a trusted well researched artists then its good to have them either for your personally or to show off to other people.
@xmeadx the artist should not have inked you if you were drunk.
Agree with an above poster this is crying out for a vita port. Great game hours of fun saying its a clone of Harvest Moon is doing the game a bit of a diservice. They are bringing 2 player to PC next year so I wonder if this version will get it as well. After a hard days work its good to do a bit of framing look after your chicken buy some cows raise a dinosaur. Find a wife to help out on the farm, I mean to love you.
Both offer different experiences. I had lego as a kid and loved it but would equally have enjoyed this game as well. The lego sets you can get now are amazing and I would say the bigger sets are for adults not kids.
This game looks decent I never got the whole minecraft thing but then played dragon quest builders and loved it. I think this could have the same impact as Dragin Quest Builders. I would now get this and also minecraft creating in games is a lot of fun especially with other players.
Elite provided so many hours of fun during my childhood. I guess the graphics would have improved for this version. happy this is finally arriving will pick it up for sure. It was an exclusive for Xbox/PC if i am thinking right so thats why is taken so long to come to PS4.
@furtin I agree with you totally. For me graphics do not define a game. They always help but some of the games I enjoy the most are not graphically good, run well and are glitchy. Story and emotion can make a game stand out.
No questions regarding the game. I am part way through Ico now with Shadow of the Colossus to play next then will go onto The Last Guradian next year. I imagine playing this will give me the same sense of satisfaction and pleasure as Journey did. Sometimes games can be so magical and moving.
From what I have read it pretty much has the same power as a PS4 and PS4 games can be easily ported to the console. I have not owned a Nintendo since the NES this is the first time it has appealed to me. Having a gaming machine that when you want to go mobile you can go without sacrifising on the quality of the game. Nintendo also has some fun exclusives. I was considering buying the Scorpio next year but according to the Manager at my local Game store it will retail at between £500-£600 so not will to spend that on a console I would rather upgrade my PC.
First impressions I like the gameplay but the graphics are giving me a bit of a headache especially when you look into the distance and are walking around they are kind of fuzzy. Its a strange effect. Anyway it started well for me collecting stuff then broke some bones punching a tree then got killed by dino. went to get my bag back there are now a pack of 4 small dinos they kill me again. So my experience so far has been collect some items, walk along the beach and then get killed rinse repeat lol. Its fun with a steep learning curve tried to feed a dino to tame it ended up eating the meat by accident and getting sick.
Was excited when I read the headline then that evaporated when I realised it was only for 4 days. I like the game but not a big fan of the subscription model especially when you are also paying for the expansions as well. Will play it but will stick with ESO
The one VR mission I would want to be doing is the one at the end of the original star wars film shame they did not do that. But looks like they did a great job on this. Free as well which is the best price.
Downloaded it last night not played it yet. Was watching it on Twitch looks like the game has a brutal learning curve.
@bladerider there are 2 versions one which has the base game and the other has base game and scorched earth which is the expansion. The base game is £30, base game and expansion £40, expansion on its own £15. I think its a good price point and will sell well. Think in the US you can only get base game and expansions together $60.
Been waiting for this for a while. I am going to make a prediction here you guys are going to give this game a 5 or 6. It does not run well on the PC even with a decent rig so I am expecting lots of lagging and framerate issues. Having said that its a day one purchase for me. I do not expect a perfect game and survival sandbox games are rare on the PS4. One of my favourite 2nd most played games this year is 7 days to Die and thats got slaughtered by nearly every website that reviewed it. I think gamers will love this game and reviewers will not.
Its very much a niche game so I think that will be reflected in the review scores. I trust IGN as much as I trust dodgy dave who lives at the end of the street.
I love noodles in every shape and form and have them as many times a week as possible. Even eat the dried ones from packet without adding the water some crunchy goodness. Aside from that games companies have been really slow to put real life products into games its a great way to get extra revenue. Films do it all the time so games should as well.
Glad you gave it an 8. I do enjoy this franchise find it lots of fun and this game improves on the first in so many ways. Ubisoft listened to the feedback and created a worthy successor.
Same price as it was Black Friday for retail version. Having said that its a great price for digital. I am not liking the this trend of discounting games really early after release. It just makes gamers more likely to hold off buying the game. Therefore less revenue for the company.
I do like the variety of games on the PS4 and it will remain my main gaming machine. However I did buy a gaming PC a few weeks ago because sandbox survival games and MMO's are rarely found on the PS4.
I like the idea of playing Ellie she is gorwn up now in a new world and has the skills to not only survive but thrive. I am not only looking forward to the campaign but also the multi-player which for me is the best i have played out of any franchise I hope they keep the same feel and pace as they did in TLOU. I know the game is years away but I am so happy its real.
There were so many games when i was telling a caster about the presser could not remember them all. Sony really knwo its fan base and they pay homage to the gamers who enjoy japanese games, us older gamers who have been there since the PS1, indie games, wow games like TLOU2. I think VR needs to be pushed at its own events where it is the star of the show. Even if they showed a wow VR game last night it would have been lost amongst all the other games on show. Also VR only ever really shnes when you use the product its not something that wows you seeing it on stage. I think Sony did a much better job with this presentation than at E3. Looking forward to 2017 it will be another good gaming year but for me it will not be about the big titles it will be the smaller ones that shine. The Futures bright, the futures Sony.

As much as i think this game will be great i do not think it will sell well. Its a niche game and will sell well to people who love Ico etc but to others I do not think it will appeal.
Loved Season One lots of feels for all the charcters and liked the small problem solving you had to do. Season 2 was good but they did away with any of the problem solving which was a shame. Still love Clem as a character and looking forward to see how she has changed since season two. Walking Dead is always a day one purchase for me.
