Re: The Legend of Heroes Overall Story Is 'About 60-70%' Finished, Says Falcom

Amazing the job they did with continuity. Played ToCS 1-4 and noted just a single mistake. Baffling considering the dozens of characters and time span. Kudos to the guys in charge! Would love to see their whiteboard covering the timeline, milestones and connections. Absolutely mind blowing I guess.
Really looking forward to continue the saga.

Re: Random: Data Suggests Majority of PS5 Fans Are Planning Days Off for Console Launch

0ld_boy

I planned to take 2 days off. Launch day and the day after. Still gutted there will be no real launch day, for anyone who didn t pre-order or wants to buy from big companies. Also a little bit disappointed that there still pretending there s gonna be a launch day, when this already take place in Sep + Oct. Anyhow, have fun and enjoy to anyone who expects a shipment or isn t in lockdown at the time. Take care + stay well!

Re: Poll: What PS5 Launch Games Will You Buy?

0ld_boy

None, regrettably. I ve been to a electronics shop today and asked how it is planned for the 19th. They told me, no plans, as there won t be any supplies to retailers and there s no intend of Sony to do so. Online pre-order only for the time being and that is it. Sony do not want or cannot deliver to retailers in Germany on launch day. So prolly I gonna wait until the day when I am not forced anymore to buy from Amazon or another big online trader

Re: Kingdom Hearts All-in-One Package Is a Big Headache in One Box

0ld_boy

Hmmm... the digital package is available for several month now and was already discounted. I did buy that back in Nov in a EU PSN sale for 36€ .
It s basically Oct 2018s Story so Far compilation (KH-HD1.5+2.5 ReMix + KH-HD2.8 FCP) bundled with vanilla KH3.
Makes me wonder, why they bother now with a full physical release within such a relatively short time. Seems like a rather steep investment for some press and to give incentive to pour out another 30€ for Re Mind DLC.
Especially when it s not unlikely for a Final or Definitive Edition incl Re Mind to follow before this Year ends.

Re: PS4 Has a Very High Software Attach Rate, Average Player Owns Around Ten Games

0ld_boy

PS4 owner since Dec 2014. 108 Digital + 16 Physical.
Though I do know a guy owning 2 games and using his console mainly as streaming device or BluRay player, due to offspring and other RL induced time constraint.
Looking at the comments and giving it a second thought, I reckon he is more representative than I ever imagined...
Then again, perfect opportunity to take pride in being a Gamer and not a "normal" person.
Good on all of us! I guess...

Re: Soapbox: Why God of War Needs an Expansion Pack

I feel the same was as @bamozzy, although I'm a big fan of New Game+ in general, I really don't think it'll work with GoW and the way it's designed.
Anyways, I clearly wouldn't mind a trip to Vanaheim and some more Caverns, Mines and maybe another lost City or even a remote Settlement to explore.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 217

Ni No Kuni II and God of War being the only games I'm really interested in at the Moment... "regrettably" I platinumed both, so there's not much left to do. Except for smithing a few more Armours and Weapons with Evan and finishing the Against the Wall Labour with Kratos. Don't quite feel like backlogging either... Maybe I'm checking in on Gerald, just to see how the Pro/HDR update fares...

Re: PS4 Exclusive Days Gone Seemingly Delayed into 2019

@BAMozzy
Well yeah, guessing most of us are well informed passionate gamers, who won't mix up these games...
but what about the average Joe and their moms just browsing and reading something like:

"After a pandemic radically transformed known civilization, infected humans run wild and survivors are killing each other for food, weapons; whatever they can get their hands on.
Explore a beautifully realized post-pandemic world, a brutal journey across the country."

Re: Game of the Year 2017: The Push Square Community's 10 Best PS4 Games of 2017

NieR:A is still clearly my personal GOTY not even Persona or Horizon had such an impact on me, though both are great games themselves and came quite close.
Also had a blast falling through the sky with Kat and adventuring with Chloe and Nadine.
Smashed some heads and had a few drinks with Goro Majima for the very first time just recently and by now that game really got a grip on me.
Maybe Bayeks Revenge has to wait a while - although it's already on my HDD...
Still on the fence with Resi 7...

Re: Soapbox: NieR: Automata Has the Best Credits Sequence of 2017

Found it both, really great and immensely saddening. Especially the way it's sort of "celebrated" when every progress, stat and collectible disappears one by one while you're watching. But the final words from the trusted pods gave me a tremendous sense of accomplishment and I even took some pride that I'll assist someone else to have a similar awesome experience.
