Well, all of this negativity against SE is unfounded. IMO, they have been doing great in recent years. FF15 was better than 13. Games like I am Setsuna, and all of that 2d-hd games were great games. Also, Trials of Mana remake, and good ports for Legend of Mana and now Chrono Cross. Not to forget that DQ11 was also a great classic Jrpg. Two great Nier games. And the rumors for a FF Tactics remake/remaster is welcome. They are miles betrer than what they were during PS3 era.

You guys here can consider the option to buy another console. It is not your destiny to play games on PS. So stop being appocalyptic. Back in 1998, most of the big third party titles were Sony's exclusives, paid by Sony's big stash of gold compared to Sega and Nintendo.

My only favorite Tales game is the original Tales of Phantasia on Snes. This is the first Tales game which convinced me to buy it at full price.

Some of the are good games, but nothing extraordinary or next-gen about them. And my fav franchises are not among them. And non of the new games look intresting "to me". Therefore, after seeing Sony's show, I gladly decided to skip the launch and save 400$ for now.

@Salt_AU Indeed. My point was that graphical leap is so small that it is no longer a huge justifying factor for getting a console, specially at launch.

@Enuo Bad design. Fans must admit it. XSEX design is way better than this one. However, nobody buy a console for its design. Give us good games. Unfortunately, tonight non of the games impressed me. On the other hand, Xbox also annonced no games. So, I am still undecided. It is a meh next gen to me in general. Also, the graphic leap is not a huge one.

Well the "ending" was not an excellent one, but the point is, I did not expect an ending in the proper sense of the term, it needed a proper "conclusion", and I think they provided that.

The better. We all missed those old school semi-arcade style wrestling games.

Great game. Well deserved. First FF game I trully enjoyed after FFX.

@ShogunRok All I can say is that you have sensitive nature. My jaw never drop seeing Rufus or Zack, and the trailer did not spoil anything for me. It was just a normal trailer.

I prefer more CPU/GPU power to this fake hype for high speed SSD. XSEX is more interesting for this gen. UNLESS, Sony offer tempting third party exclusives.

I'm not hyped at all. They did not show us anything. No new games, no console, vague statements on BC, no price anouncments, and weaker specs than Xbox. I dont get it why anynoe should be hyped by some technical info.

Thanks for the fair and objective review (leaving aside the hype and nostalgia). Actually the review convinced me to buy the game. Because I was afraid that they plague the remake with nonsense quantitative open world or 100 hours of boring gameplay. Good to hear that the game has its classic linear approch and prioritize the storyline over side quests.

Well, experience has shown that things like BC or Specs (provided that there is not a huge gap) are not that important for console sales. Two things are important at launch: price and launch titles (including confirmed titles). PS5 lower specs actually help Sony to sell its console at lower price, and this is a decisive factor.
