Re: Soapbox: Why I'm Less Excited for Deathloop on PS5 Than I Should Be

BamBamBaklava89

In my opinion Game pass is devaluing the whole industry. No one wants to pay for anything anymore because they think they get everything for free, forever with the service. Look at the way Battlefield was treated by the media and fans for having a price tag attached to it. We’re already seeing studios, including Ubisoft changing the way they make games with more evidence with today’s announcement.

Re: State of Play Livestream Confirmed for Thursday, Featuring Deathloop

BamBamBaklava89

At this point it’s starting to seem like Sony has nothing to show. I’m personally tired of all the silence. This is the first year in a “new generation” yet they don’t seem like they have any interest in talking about it. I’ll be skipping this state of play. I’ve seen more then enough of Deathloop to decide I’m not buying it.

Re: Abandoned Trailer App Delayed Yet Again, This Time to August

BamBamBaklava89

Some of you honestly need to see a psychiatrist. It’s a video game, stop taking everything so seriously. The relentless media and silent hill fans are the likely reason for the delay. Just calm down and give who ever is making the game the time they need to put out their project in a state their happy with. That being said I look forward to seeing more in August.

Re: Reaction: Partnerships Show PlayStation Empowering Creators, And Avoiding an Acquisition War

BamBamBaklava89

I think moves like this as well as numerous acquisitions are required. Microsoft is going to keep buying and buying and Sony needs to respond. I think they should be looking at smaller teams and help them grow into bonafide AAA studios. So that in 5-10 years. we’re talking about teams like Unknown Worlds, Ember Lab, or even Young Horses the way people talk about Guerilla or Suckerpunch.

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath for Bethesda's Starfield on PS5, PS4

BamBamBaklava89

@SZRT_CIC_Ice I was more likely to check out an Xbox before this move honestly. It doesn’t add anything to the industry it just takes away from others and I’m not going to reward Microsoft for trying to buy their way in to having good IP. Tired of people acting like Microsoft is an underdog and not one of the richest companies in the world.

Re: Sony Wants to Bring PlayStation's Most Popular Franchises to Smartphones

BamBamBaklava89

@AhmadSumadi that’s the issue though. Very soon playstation users are going to see game after game release everywhere but on PlayStation. Just look at their PS5 showcase back in June. Two games by 3rd party studios Sony felt strongly enough to make deals with for exclusivity are now directly owned by the competition. In a couple years, we as PlayStation users aren’t gonna have as many third party games to look forward to in between Sony’s first party games.

Re: Sony Wants to Bring PlayStation's Most Popular Franchises to Smartphones

BamBamBaklava89

This is beyond disappointing to me. With a new console generation that already won’t feature games from 11(probably more coming) studios now owned by Microsoft, plus the rumored Kojima deal in place, it really seems like there’s not a ton to look forward to as a PlayStation user. At this point I’m more excited for the upcoming TV shows and movies then I am the games.

Re: Poll: Is PlayStation Losing Ground to Xbox?

BamBamBaklava89

@David187 to be fair that isn’t Push Square’s fault. Their just reiterating what’s happening in the games industry as a whole, and unfortunately it’s been mostly bad news and head scratchers from Sony. Some of which is out of their control but not all, and those they have control of deserved to be called out.

Re: Sony Game MLB The Show 21 Will Be Free with Game Pass on Xbox, Full-Price on PS5, PS4

BamBamBaklava89

@AdamNovice are you honestly surprised? It’s been one misstep after another by Sony. Their biggest selling point for decades has been its exclusive software. In the last 2/3 years alone it’s biggest competitor has doubled its first party studios, including buying one of the industries most popular publishers, and their giving a way big percent of the industry for a fairly low monthly subscription cost. All while Sony has raised the price for games, closed studios, including Japan Studio,Sony can’t rely on 3 or 4 AAA studios and shelling out cash for meaningless 3rd party deals.

Re: Reaction: Why Did PlayStation Buy Evo?

BamBamBaklava89

@Playstation it’s foolish to think Sony doesn’t need to bolster their first party studios. Those 2nd and 3rd party partners are dwindling and will continue to become first party for their direct competition. Exclusive software is what sells consoles Sony is proof of that.

Re: Reaction: What Next for PlayStation?

BamBamBaklava89

At this point there’s not a ton of AAA studios for them to bring in the fold. If they can’t lock down studios like Kojima Productions, Techland, & Eidos I would like to see them bring in some smaller teams and help them grow into bigger studios. Starting with developers like Ember Labs, Young Horses, Hello Games, etc.
