Re: Battlefield Hardline Cleans Up the Streets on PS3 and PS4 This October

Demi_God

I'll bet you anything the servers are going to be rubberbanding like a mofo in this game. You can tell when the launch is going to suck, it's when they bribe the heck out of people with pre-order stuff that everyone gets later anyway. I'll probably wait like 6 or so months before even buying it. I've learned my lesson after buying every BF game from EA/DICE at launch, everytime it was a disaster.

Re: Talking Point: Will the PS4 Get a Price Drop at E3 2014?

Demi_God

Sony doesn't need to drop the price, they are still sailing at a strong and steady pace. I think if people are wanting a price drop, it's mainly because they just want it at a cheaper price. Right now, Sony is doing really good and for a business standpoint it would make no sense to drop the price. Microsoft on the other hand has completely dorked it with the Xbox One, it's not Sony's fault, therefor there is no need for a price drop.

Re: Former PlayStation Boss Jack Tretton Will Return on Spike TV

Demi_God

In some article he said he had mixed feelings on leaving Sony. It really doesn't matter to me though, I never understood how people could dislike the guy and then after two E3 events they all of a sudden like him. Even more so after the MS bash, which was funny. I still don't like the guy.

Re: Sony Would Like to Remind You That There's More to PS4 Than Indie Games

Demi_God

It definitely depends, to me, this is a drought for AAA games, not so much for indies. With indie games I'm looking foward to certain titles and for me 2D side scrolling is unmatched in the indie world, I like those indie style 2D platformers ever since the NES days. So there are still some indies I'm going to buy, but for AAA games or big titles at least, it's been quite a drought for those.

Re: Free Shooter PlanetSide 2 Will Look the Business on PS4

Demi_God

@SimonAdebisi Planetside 2 is completely different than borderlands. PS2 is more like your FPS multiplayer where your up against other players trying to capture points. Think of battlefield on a much larger scale, and when I mean larger, the maps are like continents with multiple bases in them. At least that is what it was like in the first Planetside, I expect it to be that scale in this one too.

Re: Sony Expects to Remain in the Red Next Year As Well

Demi_God

They've already been downsizing. I believe they are doing everything early on to avoid a bigger loss later on down the road, better now than later. Sony will be fine. It takes a lot of work to turn a company around, especially when you have a dufus like Howard Stringer (aka jabba the hut) calling the shots a few years ago. that guy really screwed up a lot of stuff and I think one of Sony's biggest mistakes was keeping that guy in for as long as they did. eeeeesh

Re: Sony Expects to Remain in the Red Next Year As Well

Demi_God

Well, Sony can take quite a bit of losses, in fact they could probably still support losses for the next 8 to 10 years if they really had to. You guys need to stop thinking about Microsoft when it comes to Sony taking losses. Sony still has a HUGE reserve and lets not forget the back end bankroll sony has, they've only been in Business for what....50+ years now? LOL

Re: Actually, Watch Dogs PS4 Won't Run at 60FPS in 1080p

Demi_God

I think a lot of people are going to be missing out. At least for me, this really doesn't bother me at all. If it's true that it's 900p/30fps that isn't anything bad for me at least, I've played much worse and have enjoyed games at a worse resolution.

Re: Sony Bosses Forfeit Bonuses Ahead of Billion Dollar Loss

Demi_God

what a jab their Carl-G

I'm pretty sure Sony will be making money by next year. The TV and PC business was losing a lot of money. In fact, those two same branches were losing a ton of money before which was causing a huge loss for Sony, so this is good they got rid of that weight. There was a point though where sony did make a profit which was like a year or two ago, but then that crapstorm hit the PC and TV market for Sony which really boosted that loss.

I really hope people aren't getting worried here, I know some people are worried but this is business and it does happen, Kaz is really working hard to get out of the crapper along with others helping him. As for the people that want Sony to sink, it's not going to happen.

Re: Oh! The Witcher 3 Will Probably Outperform Xbox One on PS4

Demi_God

@thedevilsjester They're eating pie but it's definitely not a humble pie. I have to agree and I admit that I do tend to lean more towards Sony consoles. With that being said and I am a PS4 fanboy. I do agree with what you said with the last set of consoles and it was a horrid war with mainly Xbox fans digging into Playstation fans without any mercy and now it's happening to the Xbox. This is Karma, in terms of console wars between MS and Sony.

The worse people though are the ones that don't even admit they are fanboys and hide behind the "I got both systems". lol

As for The Witcher 3, I never played the previous games so I don't even know what to expect from this game. Is it going to be open world, is it going to be open world in a sense where there are instances that are open world but it's not fully open, etc etc. I have no clue. They say it's going to be bigger then skyrim, but then I hear from people it's not open world, so I don't know what's going on.

Re: If You Want to Get Angry, Know That DriveClub Will Let You Pay for Cars

Demi_God

If some people are willing to pay the money to buy other cars, I see nothing wrong with that. Now, if they made the game where it was a constant grind to the point where you're better off paying for the cars rather then building up to get those cars by yourself, then I see a problem.

In my opinion, if people pay for it, that's their money and just because they have a car they bought with their money, doesn't mean they are going to win any races.

Re: Sony: The Economics Don't Work for Blockbuster Vita Games

Demi_God

Either way, I think the majority of handheld owners are more than happy with the 3DS, which is why I doubt NIntendo will even come out with a new handheld any time soon. They might come out with a new nintendo handheld within the next 5 years, but right now it's doing pretty good from what I understand.

As for Sony, they should definitely continue support and the Vita might just pick up in sales after this year. Like I said before with the Nintendo 3DS, that took a couple of years for the good games to start rolling in.

For me at least, I don't like handhelds as I don't walk around public carrying a 3DS or Vita or even a Tablet. So far I've bought a couple of handhelds throughout my life which is The first gameboy and the PSP. I would play those heavily for the first week and then just ignore it all together since I mainly game on my Sony console or PC. Handhelds just end up collecting dust since I show no interest in it.

Re: Sony: The Economics Don't Work for Blockbuster Vita Games

Demi_God

Nintendo has that game quality that handheld gamers want for a handheld. They have the RPG's and the non-serious games such as mario that people have liked for years on end, DKC is another one. I think Sony needs to get more of those games rather then FPS games and stuff like that. They need the good RPG's and they need so good 2D platformers with that Nintendo quality. I think then the sales may go up, but for now, it's just not going to happen as fast as they want.

On the other hand, it took a few years for the DS/3DS to even get the massive sales. A few years later the 3DS sold tons, but before that, it wasn't the hot seller I don't think and it took a few years for the good titles to come out.

Re: Feature: In Theory, Could Titanfall Drop a Bot on PS4?

Demi_God

@JaxonH I don't see how you can say that people would be flaunting Titanfall if it was on the PS4. If people don't like it, they don't like it. Now, it's safe to assume that maybe a couple of people within this world/planet that we are on, would flaunt the fact that the Xbox One didn't have it or whatever makes you sleep better at night. The point is that you can't assume people in here would think differently if it was on the PS4 and in you saying so is just wishful thinking at best.

Re: Feature: In Theory, Could Titanfall Drop a Bot on PS4?

Demi_God

Nah, Microsoft paid a lot of money to keep Titanfall off of Sony platforms. So consider the first Titanfall to never hit any Sony console be it PS3 and PS4. Not that it's a big deal for me, I don't like mech based games and while I've seen the gameplay many times, the game in my opinion sucks. I just don't see anything great about it. If it's a game that has a mech in it, but the game isn't revolved around mechs, that doesn't bother me one bit.

I'm quite sure Titanfall 2 will get the sales that EA wants when it hits the PS4, but I'm not going to buy it. eeesh
