I liked Aiden as the main character and for me, I liked it. One thing that I always stay clear of in any game is season passes or buying DLC before it comes out. I don't fall for that crap and usually the DLC when they try to sell it early is telling me that it's mediocre at best, every single time.
Don't forget though that for a base game, there isn't much content, so when you repeat missions, you can easily do all of those in one sitting. So after doing repeated missions for only a week, everyday, it is insanely repetitive. Like I said, the base game is rather small, it should have been much bigger.
I think this is really nothing more than a tech game showing off the graphics. I don't expect the gameplay aspect to be amazing, but rather dull. I could be wrong and I hope I'm wrong, but I think this is really Sony's graphical answer to Xbox One / Ryse. In which it's already clear that The Order is graphically superior.
still though $250 million is such a huge amount, the game should have been much, much bigger than it currently is. imo, I think a few people at bungie should be kicked to the curb.
playing Texas Hold'em while talking in HOME was quite fun though, that is usually where I hung out when in HOME. This is just a shame and like I said, some people may not like the social networking of HOME, but I liked it for what it was and while there were weirdos here and their and kids just messing around, it's not as bad as some make it out to be. The worse part about home was the loading was so long. For what Sony wanted to do with it, it took way to long to load, it wasn't near instant so loading up HOME to load a game with friends on home was a chore. Everything else was fine, but because the PS3 was complicated, even making things for HOME was a chore for developers and the content took AGES to come out.
I like the game, but even I'm not happy with the loot system. I think what bungie did was quite cheap for a game with a buget of what, like $400 million? Even borderlands 2 has so many more items and stuff compared to Destiny and that was a much smaller budget. There really isn't any excuse that bungie can say at this moment other than, "sorry, we @#$@ed up with the amount of loot this game has, we have no excuses but we'll fix this" that still hasn't happened and they've yet to acknowledge it.
I think that this game didn't really have such a high budget and they pulled that $400 million to $500 million out of their butts to get more sales for the game. It makes people believe then that there is much more in the game.
It's to bad they couldn't bring HOME into the PS4 for people that liked going into HOME and whatever. It had a pretty good size following and people were buying stuff. Now I know there are nay sayers on here, but to say no makes no sense for anyone even if you don't like HOME because, well, you don't have to go on it or install it.
I think they should've brought something similar to the PS4 if not, just HOME revamped for the PS4, faster loading, faster everything.
What I don't like with the engrams is that with the armor, if it's legendary up to exotic, you can get another classes item, now that just sucks. While I like this game and I think it should score around an 8 or so, the items should have been much better and much different to eachother both weapons and armor. It's to simple in a way, it's just to simple. Something as simple as a sword on other mmorpg's have so many more differences and looks compared to Destiny.
@eLarkos I'll make the assumption if I want, after all it's the internet and the assumption I made wouldn't surprise me one bit on here. I'm just pointing out, but in reality I really don't care that much since everyone on the internet is a critic anyway. I will call it as I see it and if that makes me a prick, so be it.
@thedevilsjester but if your not really turning that profit from that division other than keeping it afloat with other money made from patents and stuff, you kind of have to cut the cord on it. It's really a no brainer and at that point forget about the ecosystem if that is what's happening, that doesn't have anything to do with it at that point other than a company swallowing it's pride from a brand.
I usually skip every other call of Duty. I skipped CoD:Ghost, so now I'll get CoD:AW. To me this game is looking pretty freaking awesome. I'm not ashamed to say that I like CoD games, their fun and can be very competitive.
if it's $49 worth of content then I won't complain. Some people here are so quick to jump on the rant wagon, I mean, did you guys even read the article? O.O There's a difference between reading it and just skimming through it for pete sakes. The complaining of this makes absolutely no sense.
It seems to me that SE are getting much worse in terms of information to release time. They keep on doing this type of crap, they better hope the game is going to sell millions, if not, this could put a damper on the company. They wouldn't have to shut the doors, but it will create a huge dent.
I don't see any reason to own one and more reasons to own a WiiU, but that's just me. I kind of hope microsoft would do away with the damn Xbox division and concentrate on windows and business stuff, which is what they should be doing. I honestly don't get the reason for them keeping this console business while losing money. O.O it just boggles me. I understand they can afford it, but damn, sometimes you have to just cut the cord.
I don't get these scores because from actual users, they were saying so much has been gutted from fifa 15, so how the heck are these sites scoring the game so high when so much has been stripped from it? o.O
I thought pushsquare already did a review? Maybe I'm thinking of another EA game
@xMEADx Definitely agree with what you said. This is also a move to get more people on board for PS+ which is a good strategy to do. I also think the value of PS+ is really good, as some people don't like the smaller games, I have no complaints about them. Some are good, some games suck, and some are just awesome. Sony has really been kicking #@! lately.
@eLarkos I don't think it will flop though. I'm quite sure that if certain games show full support of this device, it's going to sell pretty well. I don't expect it to sell like the PS4 has been selling, but I think it's going to sell quite a bit and with the games it supports, it will go down pretty well.
Well, the game really does kick in more when you get past lvl 20, however, I think the expansions for this are going to lift the game up much more. They could've added more into the original game though and I think Activision is the evil behind all of this.
@eLarkos I think you want it to flop hard. While this can be used on the PC which I believe was confirmed, I think it's uses are going to really shine while used on the PS4. I don't see why you would buy this if you didn't have a PS4 anyway. See, this is where I don't understand your post as it really just confirms my point of you wanting it to flop. O.O
No. I have to be honest, I think the majority of third person shooters suck, I don't like them, in fact, I hate them. First person gives me much more atmosphere and draws me in more, much more compared to third person. So many people say third person, but I think some of those votes are because third person is in fact the underdog in these types of games and that's all there is to it. FPS games are much better for what they do. third person works for games like Tomb Raider, Uncharted, Resident evil, DMC, and stuff like that.
I didn't like Warhawk at all because of the fact it was third person and I'm certainly not going to lie about liking third person just for the sake of it. like I said before, I like third person for games like uncharted and stuff like that, but not for games like Destiny, screw that and 100% yuck to infinite.
I don't care how the negative people are in here, I'm going to get this VR headset. I think the people that are negative just don't want to see something like this succeed. I, on the other hand, have always wanted a VR headset since the days of watching the movie Lawnmower man.
I love turn based rpg's when they're done right or at least to my liking. I liked the retro FF games and I also liked FF7, FF10, and FF12, Ultima Exodus, Dragon Warrior, Wizardry series, the FF tactics games. If they make this new Final Fantasy like FF13 was, I won't even look at it.
This is perfectly fine to do since Playstation is mainly about games, so they can do this. Unlike Xbox which is the complete opposite. Sony is games games games and then TV, while Microsoft is TV, TV, TV, then games. The way Sony is handling this makes sense.
I have no problems with a game being online only. It is what it is and that's all there is to it. If it's online only, that's fine by me. I just hope there is a huge amount of exploring, fighting, secret/hidden things throughout the world and much more. I just hope they don't put all the effort in for graphics. It's one thing to have good graphics, but it's another when that is all you care about (like killzone).
I liked the PS3 for a couple of years but the damn system really started to tick me off to no end. It sucked to surf the net with that system, it was so damn slow. Funny thing is, is the NES, SNES, Genesis are all faster than PS3 and 360. The 360 was quite a bit faster in terms of downloading and stuff which is what I liked about the 360. However, the PS3 had the games I wanted after the first few years that went by. I heard Ken Kutaragi wanted to be apart of the future of playstation and after he came up with the PS3, I will say........No, no more ken, no more. He may have been the founder of what playstation was, but even the original people can turn out to be crap.
@Heavyman99 I think that is exactly what happened at microsoft. I personally think this buyout was extremely late, so much so they should have just invested that 2billion, my god microsoft could have made so many studios to build up their exclusives with that 2billion. O.O
I think you said it right, " This is a bunch of old people in a board room buying what kids like " usually when that happens, they are always late to the game. It's like the grand parent that buys a kid a toy but is like 2 years off of when he actually liked it. LOL
This better not be a FF13 type of game. This better be an open world with hidden/secret bosses as well as hidden/secret weapons and a ton of exploring and finding awesome things. SE owes a lot of gamers a huge FF game so this better be it. If this is another linear pile of crap, I wouldn't doubt to see them really in a pickle.
@teknium_ It's just like that on the internet, a group of 10 people or 15 saying they hate the game can sound like thousands of people that don't like it. Put it this way, I doubt that half of them or even a quarter of the Destiny population are disappointed, very doubtful. I've heard so many positive things and those picking negatives, well, I can point to negatives in any game out there, any game even the most popular of games I can find a negative a few negatives if not more.
Here's the other thing that I know since witnessing it with all MMORPG's out there. If the developers cater to the people complaining and decide to do what they say, once they change or do whatever to the game, those people will be the first to jump ship.
Don't really care much for this. I want the turn based Dragon Quest game back, but than again I'm most likely in the minority that likes turn based with open world exploring.
Yep, I'm glad I didn't trade in destiny as right now I'm completely addicted to everything about it. Once you reach the high levels, Destiny gets much, much better.
I never heard of Sony Pictures losing money. It was the TV and phones, along with the computer line and those odd techs they were funding but never selling as they were too expensive.
@Bad-MuthaAdebis Yea, I'm really starting to like the crucible, too. It's been growing on me quite a bit. At first I hated it, but now I'm really starting to like it.
I know the first Silent Hill really gave me the creeps. Nothing like wondering around a school and to see a little childs shadow laughing and walking around only to disappear O.O
screw a remake. This is what they should be making is characters from FF7 such as Cloud, Tifa, Barrett, etc etc meet up with Tidus, Auron and all of them from FFX. since FFX was basically a dream, they still are within the same world it should be and on top of that making it open world as FF7 was with hidden/secret bosses, secret places, secret/hidden weapons, armor, etc etc. Pair up all them and now you will have one Epic Final Fantasy story. O.O
SE will never have that type of game because it's so awesome. It just wouldn't happen. :/
how long has this game been in the works, like 7 years now? also during that time they changed the name I assume from versus to this? ugh SE sucks, sorry but I doubt they will ever go back to their older but solid yet working formula. It's just not going to happen and they still to this day continue to pull stupid out of their pockets and release it into the air for everyone to see.
They need to sell off the branches not making a profit and once they start making profit, then they can slowly incorporate those decisions back into the company, but with different means. This means, scrap the phone market, but keep the tablets, then when things go really good, they can recreate their phones again and do it smarter.
This really does show that Andrew Wilson isn't the problem, it's the chairmen that are the problem here as they are really calling the shots. This company isn't going to change until at least 3 of them are gone, one guy in particular needs to go and his name is.......ta ta tata tataaaaaaaa.......Lawrence F. Probst III, Richard A. Simonson, and maybe one other person, can't tell which one yet.
this is really inexcusable though. Honestly, I think this year we are going to witness a HUGE decline in EA as a business entirely. The money is going to drop and I can already tell that a few people are going to be fired.
SE has really been going downhill lately in the RPG department. I think reality is creating room from some new developers to take the reigns of RPG's that SE really seems to be lacking in.
Kaz isn't the one losing money on this. You can thank your good friend Howard Stringer for creating so many damn branches for Sony, I mean it was only a matter of time before losses were going to hit. I personally think Kaz should break off of the Mobile market or cater the mobile phones to more lower income. again, it's sony being expensive again and you can't do that when everyone and their mothers are paying monthly on like five or more products. If your not going to make cheaper phones and less of them, break away from it.
EA has been doing this every year and it's been getting worse every year. They keep on removing more things. Not only is this happening to NHL 15, but also The Sims 4, and to no surprise it will probably happen to any game they make more than one of.

It's just not going to happen and they still to this day continue to pull stupid out of their pockets and release it into the air for everyone to see.
Re: Despite PS4's Success, Sony Expects to Lose a Lot of Money Again
They need to sell off the branches not making a profit and once they start making profit, then they can slowly incorporate those decisions back into the company, but with different means. This means, scrap the phone market, but keep the tablets, then when things go really good, they can recreate their phones again and do it smarter.
Re: Review: NHL 15 (PlayStation 4)
This really does show that Andrew Wilson isn't the problem, it's the chairmen that are the problem here as they are really calling the shots. This company isn't going to change until at least 3 of them are gone, one guy in particular needs to go and his name is.......ta ta tata tataaaaaaaa.......Lawrence F. Probst III, Richard A. Simonson, and maybe one other person, can't tell which one yet.
Re: Review: NHL 15 (PlayStation 4)
this is really inexcusable though. Honestly, I think this year we are going to witness a HUGE decline in EA as a business entirely. The money is going to drop and I can already tell that a few people are going to be fired.
Re: No Way, You'll Be Able to Play Final Fantasy XV on PS4 Next Year
SE has really been going downhill lately in the RPG department. I think reality is creating room from some new developers to take the reigns of RPG's that SE really seems to be lacking in.
Re: Despite PS4's Success, Sony Expects to Lose a Lot of Money Again
Kaz isn't the one losing money on this. You can thank your good friend Howard Stringer for creating so many damn branches for Sony, I mean it was only a matter of time before losses were going to hit. I personally think Kaz should break off of the Mobile market or cater the mobile phones to more lower income. again, it's sony being expensive again and you can't do that when everyone and their mothers are paying monthly on like five or more products. If your not going to make cheaper phones and less of them, break away from it.
Re: Review: NHL 15 (PlayStation 4)
EA has been doing this every year and it's been getting worse every year. They keep on removing more things. Not only is this happening to NHL 15, but also The Sims 4, and to no surprise it will probably happen to any game they make more than one of.
